I saw that too! I stopped the video and squealed. My husband asked me why I was excited and I told him, "Saf just used a clip from Katie's channel!" Best part was he knew exactly who I meant lol.

Well my bestie makes soap and I started watching soap makers UA-cam channels so that I understood what she was talking about. Hubby and I have our computers in the same room. So while he is gaming he gets to watch what I am. Guess he picked up on who she is :)

Love the look. I have a cotton story for you. Back in the mid 80' (Mommy's OLD), as a Histology student, I going from my town, in Texas , to Lubbock Texas, for a Histology conference, at Texas Tech. The women, coordinating the conference, called me and asked if I could pick up one of the guest speakers, at the Lubbock airport, on my way. I was happy too, he was a German national, and I was going to try out my really bad, Deutsch/Tex, on him. It was October, sooo actual, cotton picking time, in Texas. I picked him up at the airport, on off we head to Tech. The gentleman, was very nice, laughed at my Deutsch/Tex., but kept being very distracted, by the side of the road. He finally asked me, "How come your snow doesn't melt?'. I was very confused, it's 80's F, in Texas, and no snow storms have happened. He pointed out to the side of the road. "Oh, no thats not snow, that's cotton", I told him. The roads around the fields get a lot of cotton on them, from blowing around while picking, and being taken to the gins. He was soooo, excited, he had never seen cotton, "In the wild" before. I stopped and let him pick some off the road, he even found a couple of, still whole bowls. He was like a kid in a toy store. I hope they let him take the cotton back, to Germany.

I had the reverse happen with a Kiddo who grew up in Arizona and visited Colorado for the first time. Saw the snow, and proclaimed “ look at all that cotton”

You should check out her brussel sprout soap. It's 1 layer of frosting. It's super cute.

When I was a kid we drove by a cotton field, and my sister saw it and was like "why are they growing rocks?" And we LOST IT. We were still in elementary school but to this day anytime we see a cotton field we're like oh look at all the rocks!

North Louisiana girl here, I've also picked cotton from the field. When you're driving down country roads after the cotton harvest there is a TON of cotton on the side of the road that has come loose from the bales

Oh man, you mention those beachy homes and all I can think of is those bathrooms that are full of like seashells and assorted sea paraphernalia, to "bring the beach inside"
and as someone who lives in Cornwall, UK, those bathrooms drive me CRAZY, we're on the coast so EVERY bathroom here looks like that

I grew up surrounded by cotton fields, playing in the the cotton fields and trailers (pre cotton balers), riding up and down the rows on the cotton-pickers...it was a wonderful way to grow up ❤
To me, that's the perfect ocean soap design. Looking at it takes me immediately to the beach.
When we were kids we got to jump in the compactor full of cotton at my uncle's family farm. That stuff sticks to you but is so magical and fun!
Definitely one of my favorite bars! I like the simplicity and I was nervous about the colors together but it turned out so beautiful. Also your piping took the bar to a whole new level! Very Nice Katie! And I have not seen real cotton fields but we have cottonwood trees. I think that’s what their called 😂 In the summer they drop small branches with cotton looking balls on them.

I really enjoy when you, as well as other artists share their creative process. I think it encourages us to see other perspectives and it creates more meaningful connections because of the raw nature of sharing something so specific and personal to who you are.

Clean cotton is my favorite scent ever! Some may call it an addiction! Laundry is my favorite thing ever. (clean laundry that is!!!) Clean cotton scent calms me so much!

Growing up in east Texas, we passed by cotton fields a lot! I also got the “let’s stop, take photos, and pick a cotton stem” treatment lol!
That really is a beautiful soap. The colors, the way the frosting set up so well, the glitter perfectly compliments the color of the frosting, it all came together so beautifully and perfectly! I love your colorful, holo glitter soaps but this was very refreshing. ❤️❤️❤️
Katie, I have seen many cotton fields as the home I grew up in was surrounded by fields on 3 sides and the Hwy I live on has fields for miles. I live in Texas also, approximately an hour maybe an hour and a half from Terrell. I have been making soap for almost two years now for a hobby and gift giving, you have been an inspiration for me. You are why I started making soap.
MN does not have cotton fields, but as a kid my dad (a long haul trucker) brought us back some that he stopped and picked for us. Pretty soap. I am digging the colors, so pretty.

We used to travel with our job and in Texas and Mississippi we saw lots of cotton fields. I like to learn new things so we also pulled over and picked up some cotton along the road so I can try to learn to spin it with a drop spinner. This soap is beautiful!

My Grandma used to own cotton fields. Every summer she’d drive us to the fields and we would run and jump over all the cotton rows. Miss those days!

I rewatched that section twice. I was so confused. I get the vibe that her family is the more religious type (they are in texas after all) and often southern churches tend to be pretty against tattoos. There are of course churches that don’t care but they are less common.
She decided to start a biker gang. She is the Leader (Scraper) and her soap making siblings (Caustic Kenny, Simeon The Emulsifier, Shelly The Sudser) are her crew.

I really like this soap just as it is. The white in the top is like little sparkles. I think a whole layer would overwhelm that, I think. It's so rich as it is. Also, love your Tiktoks, especially the frog one! 🐸

I live in Georgia but we are very close too and spend a lot of time in Alabama. There are tons of cotton fields here, early fall when the pod burst open, right before harvest we call it “Alabama Snow” 😍

My grandfather was a cotton farmer in Palacios, TX, so I grew up going to the cotton fields, watching as cotton was harvested, driving by the cotton gins, and taking cotton plants to school for “Show and Tell”.

Watching you make soap so I don't use up all of my oils playing around with design ideas like I want to. I dont have any money coming in right now except for occasional orders, so can't afford to play too much, lol. This is helping a little but it's mostly making me wanna make my Rainbow Magick soap.

I have lived many many years now in NC, a and cotton fields abound everywhere amongst all kinds of things like Tabasco, soybean. Sweet potatoes, ect. I live in the country, in the farm belt of the state.
However, I grew up in AZ, the Phoenix metro area (the berbs) and we had some cotton fields. I used to always say when the cotton was in full bloom, that this was Arizona snow. Lol
