On 2018 I’ve had to use my scan tool to reset the oil light
It wouldn’t work from the the cars reset button

Tried this and I’m getting some other codes. Saying end test start roller ?? It gave me the options the first time I held the button down but now it won’t.

how do you trust these indicators if it is so easy to reset them? does it allow 'reset possible' only if that service element has been carried out?

You don’t trust them if you just bought the car. But if you’re familiar with the car you should notice if anything changes.

it says reset impossible for the vehicle check and brake fluid though. is that because you already reset it?

You should only do the reset after the work was carried out.
