Beautiful meal this time. Twiggy is a little heart breaker with the cheesecake on her nose. I think those are moments I treasure most the times sat in a quiet location as the sun goes down. watching the world go by full belly a a few drinks. I actually shiver now at the thought of visiting a nightclub or a busy pub.

Spelt is a really old grain, it's enjoying a revival amongst artisan bakers & trendy chefs as are many other ingredients also old traditional foods.

Bonjour d'Espagne. Very nice indeed. A bit like the place we go to in the Cazorla Natural Park for Chrissy mouse and Nude Ear except that ours is self catering but there are a number of restaurants on the oether side of the road and it is a real pleasure to be eating Christmas Dinner outside in the sunshine with vultures circling overhead. We have two small dogs and they stay free of charge.

30 km outside of Nice! I stayed in Nice and if I knew there was a town as beautiful as Gorge Du Loup I would have walked there no matter how long it took.
I bet there’s even a bus. Well maybe two..

Your drive along the gorge brought back memories of a similar experience I had in Taiwan once. I was on a small bus touring Taroko Gorge, and we approached a tunnel (on a curve in the road which was situated high above the gorge). We had to back up along that bendy road in order to allow an oncoming bus the emerge from the tunnel towards us. I was seated on the side of the bus that looked over the cliff, with a bone-chilling view towards the bottom of the gorge. Fortunately, we all made it home safely. But I can clearly remember that experience. At least you had the dog-friendly restaurant (and wine!) to calm your nerves later!

Oh I just love that auberge. I could smell that lobby as you walked in. Thank god there are still places like that dotted about. And that food! Yum! No pretence just straightforward traditional food. That road reminded me of Greece with the sheer drops !
Indeed I’d go back in a heartbeat. In a standardised world it’s lovely to find something that Isn’t.

Beautiful surrounding and a quirky little hotel! The drone shot at the end was nice but too short. Some drone shots of the waterfall would have been great, but you cannot have everything, especially if your car is parked at the side of such a narrow road.
I liked the new song at the beginning - it could become an earworm like 'la Belle Époque' 😉 (which i find myself whistling or humming during shopping or other exciting activities 🤣)

What a lovely place. Mr Boo’s reaction to the cheesecake was a classic 😂. That road was definitely terrifying. I always struggle with mountainous roads.

WOW, what a drive, and a little Devil's Sway was perfect fit. And the auberge was a heartwarming surprise, it was a joy to be there enjoying it with you, and thanks so much for again, for brightening a Sunday morning. At 12:48 I got a laugh out of Twiggy eying the abode with some skepticism.

Escargots are for the refined palate. Main dish and the cheesecake dessert looked decadent! The Gorges I thought, suited Elton to a T. And the moon over the mountain brought the day fittingly to an end! Just the way to spend a July Sunday here between Canada Day and July 4th. 😊
We actually go into the gorge next week. And then to the lavender. It was a magical trip

Fantastic video, guys! I’m so surprised that there aren’t more electric car chargers in those villages. Aren’t there a fair number of Ami (or other EV) cars?
Maybe you guys will start a trend of touring around the nation in a 45km/h car!
Many of the villages we’ve gone to have had chargers but there are some exceptions.

I think you should somehow finagle or otherwise scheme your way into a three-way... between the Citroen Ami, the Opel Rocks and the Fiat Topolino! They are surely similar as the makes are all Stellantis but your take on the differences would be entertaining to say the least (as are all your posts).

Been to Nice loads of times, but never really ventured inland (apart from the tourist hotspots of Grasse, Vence etc) coz im terrified of driving in France, especially up those narrow twisty roads 😱 Wish we were a bit braver, theres obviously lots of places we are missing out on 😏 Another great vid BTW 😉🇫🇷

Can I ask when you were charging you electrical stuff in the hotel what was the item before your laptop in a case beginning with a Z there wireless didn’t think they were mics as you have the dji ones. They looked very similar to what you have on your steering wheel sometimes. Hope you don’t mind us asking.

Rode mics in a 3rd party charger case? We use rodes in the car and dji run and gun cos the roses are often low battery by the time we reach a place

@@MeandMonAmi Looking at the Fiat vids I think Fiat are making a BIG mistake.
With Ami architecture limiting speed to 28mph and range to about 48 miles the USP of this little car is it's use in Towns/Cities and LOW PURCHASE COST..
Fiat have increased the cost by using different panels for front and back which will no doubt increase the cost for purely cosmetic looks.
Fiat may attempt to sell their version at around £11,000 in Britain - A BIG MISTAKE.
Keep it at a price similar to the Ami and they are on to a winner - i WANT ONE OF THESE, BUT NOT AT £11,000

Hi, what mosquito repellent do you recommend? Often find the ones bought in the uk just aren’t good enough for over there! 😬🦟
TBH we largely buy the giant carrefour ones that are meant for killing them in the air and spray it on us as it’s very cheap! But for the room etc by far the best thing are the plug ins
Great video! Looks like tremendous place to visit. We get mozzies here in Cyprus from time to time but we tend not to use sprays or plug-ins as we have cats and some repellents and bug killers aren't safe for them. Lots of people here (including us) use Skin So Soft body spray to keep mozzies away. I'm not sure if it works but it smells nice anyway! 😂
