I have a feeling after Celebrini the actual draft will be like the 2022 Draft where it just went crazy and people went to teams that no one thought of.
You could argue that Levshunov's weakness is his defensive play and decision making in his own end. Dickinson, Elick and Brunicke are ahead of him defensively.
You could argue that it's actually incredible impressive for a player that was playing Belarusian juniors just 2 years ago to find success in the NCAA already. He's already greatly improved his defensive game and scouts wouldn't be considering him top 5 if he didn't have two-way upside
My top 4 are the exact same as yours but I think Habs go Silayev. Habs have quite a few small players and I think they juxtapose that with the hulking defenseman.
@@robertlavigne9828 no he stated that if they have the choice between a D and a forward and they’re both equal in their eyes they are taking a forward. But if a D is clearly a better prospect than the next forward, theyre taking the D
@@robertlavigne9828 well I don’t imagine Lindstrom will be available but if he is due to his injuries this year great but if not then Helenius could be good along with obviously Iginla like you said (Calgary won’t be happy with that one) or even Catton.
It would really suck if the Habs don't get Lindstrom. Iginla isn't as good as Lindstrom and I don't see Iginla as a top 5 pick at all. I would much prefer that the Habs get Lindstrom and the flames get Iginla.
As a flames fan I’d be ok with this scenario! Really hoping Iginla falls to 9, and I think the only real risk is Habs at 5. I think Lindstrom would fit your core perfectly, pairing him with Slaf would be awesome
Yeah I don’t really view tij as a top 5 or even top 10 pick, porter martone will only be a borderline top 5 pick next year depending on how his draft year goes and he was way better then tij at the u18s
To me Tij is a borderline top 10. Maybe 9 is a tad high but the group of guys there are so interchangeable it doesn’t really matter. Trust the scouts I guess
Personally not a huge fan of your choices in Chicago. They have alot of top tier forwards prospects in the pipeline. Honestly for 2nd and 20th I see them going defence. Rhd is their biggest need aside from goaltending however with Gajan and Commesso defense is a bigger issue
Lindstrom is great but there are major injury concerns. Also, Davidson has said he doesn't draft for "need" his philosophy is to draft the best player available because players drafted in the NHL draft are typically 2-3 years away from the league anyway. There is a strong argument to be made that the Blackhawks biggest prospect need is dynamic forward anyway. Frank Nazar, Oliver Moore may turn out to be great middle six forwards but not elite top line forwards.
A couple of suggestions, if I may: you don't need to say "moving forward" when you're talking about something in the future. Also, I'd avoid "inclined to potentially take..." You don't need to say "potentially" almost ever. Also, watch the "too as well" one. I've been hearing this a lot lately because everyone seems to think they must end a thought with "as well" or no one will know they've said two things.
It’s unlikely but hey there is always reaches and great player fall. Look how low Benson went last year and that’s where Wild pick this year so who knows..
It's pronounced Senneck-uh, not Senneck-ee. (Only clarifying because you specifically commented on the pronunciation) Bad example because his pronunciation isn't shown there, but if you have a free account on eliteprospects they have a button that looks like a volume button that you can click and it'll give the correct pronunciation of the player's name. One note, a lot of players accept Americanized pronunciations so it might be different than how the name is pronounced by the league...for instance almost everyone pronounces Ovechkin's name wrong and he's settled for the incorrect Americanized pronunciation.
as a sharks fan i cant be too greedy, but if buium went one pick in front of us id fall to my knees and sob. we need a defensemen badly and hes besties with will smith. would be a perfect addition to our pool but then again we got celebrini so whatever, not being greedy and thankful enough for that
If Buium or Parekh fall past 6 we need to use that 14th and 33rd pick to trade up to 7/8/9. I definitely think is the draft to go for it and those 2 are so elite in my opinion. Either one has an upside of an elite 2 way defensemen
@@previnsnaidu1 might be worth it, but we also need more darts to throw at the board. could potentially get two high end pieces at both 14 and 33. but if GMMG traded up to get their guy then i wouldn't be mad at it. both buium or parekh can be gamechangers
@@KidCudi72 I actually think that we are in the stage where we have so many depth pieces in the pipeline that we need to ensure we get those legit top 6 forwards and top 4 defenders. Getting Parekh or Buium would make them our 2nd legit top 4 defenseman with Shakir
Stupid Habs should have taken Michkov, Benson or Leonard last year instead of 15th place Reinbacker. This is the error that will keep on hurting. Now they may have to sacrifice talent to move up in order get a desperately needed forward. Heck they should exchange Reinbacker to move up in the draft, which would basically zero out last year's draft. This is how much of an error this was. With the KK pick then this.. the whole Habs scouting team should be fired. Imagine if we had Michkov and Iginla in the ranks instead of stupid ass Reinbacker? It would be mission accomplished.
Couldn’t agree more Although other than the Reinbacher pick I think they’ve done a pretty great job. Slafkovsky, Hutson, Beck, Fowler, Engstrom, F. Xhekaj (Mesar too if you want but I’m not particularly high on) that’s a pretty great haul in just 2 drafts, all those guys could be significant pieces to the team & while I’m really low on Reinbacher too, he will be a solid second out guy to play with Hutson so it’s not the worst thing in the world but yes I’d much rather have sooooooo many other guys from that 2023 draft.
Yeah buddy, it was reported after the draft that Michkov told teams he wouldn’t play for them and he wanted to go Philly. So that’s one point, the other is that Reinbacher could be pretty good and he’s a right handed defenseman which most of Montreal’s top defensive prospects are lefty’s.
Dude, the entire management has changed since KK. Michkov didn’t want to come to Mtl. Plus he was a healthy scratch earlier this year in the KHL. Not the attitude they want. Was a good call

I’m with you on Utah. Silayev seems redundant with the big bodied defensive minded core. A defensemen with more offensive potential would be my focus
I love the Greentree mock to Isles. I hope Tanner Howe is there in Round 2 for Islanders

demidov is comfortably the 2nd best player in the draft
