I personally dislike living in the uk and am a self employed person living in a seaside resort in the north of England . I feel the only real positives about living here are the royal family , free nhs (which we have to pay for in our taxes anyways ) , and the economy, employment and education even though where I live there isn’t much of that . But it’s getting generally very hard for the young to find cheap housing , education is very expensive as your paying over £40k in student loans for a degree ,a government who is full of promises who isn’t really focused on the people but keeping themselves in power and concentrating on legally lining there own pockets , cost of renting has gone sky high , a lot of people can be quite unsociable if your a stranger and a lot of people are weary of each other and there are a lot of social and health issues , isolation and depression. Some of the place looks gloomy - rundown shops and old houses and a lot of the place is overindustrialised. Loads of homeless and people living in poverty looking to food banks , immigrants - brexit was supposed to have helped but it hardly hasn’t which was about the only distinctive thing the conservatives managed to achieve for us in the last 30 odd years and where I live there are large hotels housing these immigrants whilst the local council ignores the English homeless that are living on the streets just outside . We also aren’t in with the euro like the rest of Europe so it costs more to go on holidays and the hassle of conversion and other problems it brings. Yeah we have the freedom to criticise the government at least but we wouldn’t have to criticise the government in the first if we had a good one . But for me it’s mainly the weather- most of the time in England the weather is crap especially in the north where I live - I work from home so because I don’t have loads of friends and family I like to go outdoors a lot to exercise and get fresh air to reduce the boredom of being inside but most the time the weather is gloomy eg it’s like I wanted to go for a long walk the other day and it was p***** it down all day and it’s mid summer - then we get tons of windy cloudy miserable days were it’s hard to motivate yourself to even leave the house - the weathers so unpredictable in the uk as well and you never know how it’s going to behave from one moment to another and that’s just summer - then there’s winter - freezing , raining, windy , Ice, cloudy , it starts getting dark by 2pm and is dark by 4pm - it’s so depressing . And then when you eventually get a good day but because you’ve been so depressed having been stuck inside because of the bad weather you find it hard to motivate yourself to go outside then there’s all the heating bills you have to pay just to keep your house warm most of the year . Then when you do go outside your breathing in all the crap air full of pollutants so your probably doing yourself more harm than good and especially a lot of the beaches are polluted and the water is freezing and a lot of the food is highly processed and a lot of people are in poor health . I hate the UK- it’s just a small crappy post industrial island . I mean there are worst places in the world and it wouldn’t be a bad place if the weather was better and the days were longer in winter as our economy is quite good and there are some interesting places to visit and there are things to do eg night clubs , bars, theatres , cinema , parks etc but when the weathers bad they are not that appealing . That’s why a lot of people move abroad from here which is what am going to do soon and am sure I’ll never look back . Cheers
200% agree with you. It's about character and values that lead to a life of significance and sustainable happiness. I would recommend a book here as well to really know what success is "The only way to Win".
I have the option of moving to Scotland, a remote town north of Aberdeen. Now as a South Asian, is it worth the move with family in terms of food choices, shopping, rent and work life balance?
I can't really tell without knowing the name of the town, but you can google it and check for crime rate, how far away all amenities are, distance to other cities etc.
Between Manchester ,Birmingham, and leeds which country is better for a student which one contains a lot of opportunities for work after graduating and part time job ?

Hello Ashika , thanks for your wonderful videos and information regarding UK. Please share some more details of Leicester because I heard its a good place for Gujarati's.
Yes Absolutely. One of the best place for gujarati's and affordable than all. 2 BHK rent average is 1,000 GBP. And you get all the Indian groceries than rest of the UK
@@AbsolutelyAshika I got unconditional offer from Durham Uni and Bristol uni for LLM. I'm confused to choose between them, could you please suggest one of the above with your personal knowledge and experience.

Correction Manchester is the best place to live in the North West NOT Liverpool. Don't take the poll too seriously the sunday times is not an expert on the whole of the UK, these are just some peoples opinions based on certain factors, it doesn't take absolutely everything into account.
Hey there Ashika how've you been? My goodness! You always provide every single chunk of information in your every single video! Absolutely Ashika Rocks 😊👍
The bell tone is very irritating. Other than that, good vlog.
Every place is good to live until you run out of money and jobs.
That’s universal isn’t it?
@@AbsolutelyAshika It is
In the uk? Ever been to Bradford?😂
Leeds???? Err no. Sheffield the only city with a national park, and a far superior University than Leeds yes.
Bristol is the South West of England, not South East and I am pretty sure Bristol does not have a higher crime rate than Manchester??

Cornwall, devon ,plymouth ,burenmouth.

Why you dont include Newcastle city
Hi Ashika ! How’s Sheffield?
Between Manchester ,Birmingham, and leeds which country is better for a student which one contains a lot of opportunities for work after graduating and part time job ?
Norwich is the greatest city ever! (And it's in the UK!)
I also take safety of the city into account so no to Birmingham & Leeds. If I had the money Oxford would be my first choice always.
Quick Feedback: When you give details for Reading, but you keep saying Birmingham
Hahaha good list but you still did not mention the best of the best ... which is where I live... shhhh let it be a secret 😉
There are no secrets here. Tell us!!
