Music then was incredible great. Vocals and words were CLEARLY heard. Best times in the 60's and 70's. Words, vocals, lyrics were so clear and anyone could sing along. Instruments were not too loud, overwhelming the voices. Stupendous music.
@@tominnc315A "TV track" is all the music on the record, minus the lead vocal. Sometmes, it's minus all of the vocals. That is why you used to see bands on TV shows with none of the guitars plugged in. That was before the wireless hookups that guitarists can use today.
I could listen to 60s hits all day and not be bored. The decade had it's problems but man, the music sure took the sting away. What a great decade to be young and in love with life.
Great summer time songs on the AM radio during summertime when we didn't have air-conditioning. We were just happy with what we had.My 1st job paid me at the age of 13,.25c per hour.
The story they tell is that some guy dropped off a demo tape at a radio station of 3-4 songs he had written that he wanted the Buckinghams to record. The songs turned into big hits.

Yeah! what happened? The 50's & 60'swere great.
Oh yeah...I was real little but I remember this. Reminds me of my brothers.
The 1960s was one of the best decades for music.
and the first half of the 70's, I think!
Classic rock, Motown, soft rock, British Invasion - we had it all. From there, it was all downhill.
A great band… the music of the period was incredible…. We have sunk so low in 2024….

So much great music back then, tunes with identity, memorable tunes!
You Misunderstand Me is another really nice tune of theirs.
I'm right there with you @Vicki1951. The 60s was indeed the best decade for music imo. I'm 74 yo and it is definitely my favorite.

Hi
Nothing like the 60’s. Great bands. 🤩
music is like a time machine.
And the best music stands the test of time!
Cant explain the mood the two chords express in the best Buckinghams song in those days.
Yeah, these chords (from 1960's) are still different to me 2024 and very fresh to hear. Love this music.
