Personally I love the way the aero has progressed and that is half the tech really, I think it is the bread and butter of time attack cars like the MCA S13 crazy aero in the back yard that takes down Japans best that's where its at for me!

Should be an exciting trip to Japan for the Nemo crew....if that is on the menu.
Can't wait to see how many records it will break.

Finally posted up the Rotary and Drift footage from WTAC 2012, pit and track footage featuring RE-Amemiya Hurricane FD RX7, Panspeed RX8, Bad Bull RX8, Team Orange Evo9, camera is a bit shaky when zoomed though its not really cut out for it..

Yea it should be very interesting when they finally get it over there but like you say its going to come down to the driver and the set up largely, imo it definitely has the potential to be the fastest at the holy grail of time attack tracks Tsukuba!

Well apparently Japan is on the cards Tsukuba almost certainly so I'm with you I think records are going to fall anywhere this beast goes!

i want to see it go up against the big record setters of tsukuba! the only way we can really see how quick the nemo is is to send it against different cars and different tracks... if it can get to the 52 range on tsukuba... well...
only problemw ith taht would be driver experience on the track really i think..

though really, a 51.8 or better would be nice ;)

But who cares how it looks? These aren't production vehicles for the public to look at. It's about who can achieve the lowest possible time around the track. Not for aesthetics. Aero makes that achievable.

So why use road cars as a base, might aswell run some F1 or other pure race bred cars. I like seeing modified road cars racing, and also being "maxed out" - cars like the Mine's R34 or gobstopper Subaru are examples, they're identifiable as road cars but are still seriously modified with huge power. I'd prefer seeing cars like that than these current wings on wheels. I understand it's about being fastest, but I feel that this is now going too far and is shooting itself in the foot.

Don't like the way these cars are evolving in terms of 'looks'. It's turning into "who's got the most ridiculous spoiler competition". I love the Time Attack series, but the regulations need to amended, make the cars more stock looking, not 100% stock obviously. Like when F1 banned all the extra aero devices on the cars body, helped clean up the lines of the car. Mechanically these cars are awesome, but they're statting to look ridiculous.. Let the tech do the talking, not crazy spoilers.
