That’s some phenomenal commentary from guys who actually know how to drive there and give us their breaking and heading references. Very cool to hear to the smooth driving of Hesse
Boring and quiet compared to all other GT3 cars if you watch it at the track. The sucking sound of the turbo is nice, but otherwise it lacks character and power in my opinion. The Aston Martin V8 GT3 is also a turbo car, but features a very thick deep rumble that you can feel in your chest.
@@peterfruchtig5334 absolutely I don't mind the sound of the M4 or 296 (especially the latter's downshifts), but they are pretty tame/boring in comparison IMO. The Bentley was great and angry sounding (didn't like the upshift clunk though). I don't think the Nissan was noteworthy in any way but I could be misremembering. It's interesting that the AMG uses the old 6.2L NA SLS engine despite the road version using a newer smaller turbocharged one. I wonder if that would sound decent with turbo?
No. He probably slowed down to create a bit of a gap. You can see on the right that there's no checkered flag shown at the end of the lap (which was shown at the end of the 2nd). So this is the first lap. At least as far as I can make it out.
Probably timing it to where he can get the benefit of the draft in 6th gear without also catching the Audi in the esses and getting blocked/dealing with dirty air.
This is not the pole lap, this is the lap right after the pole lap about six seconds slower. Just by looking at the timer of the video you can already deduce it.
Getting held up into the braking zone and final corners would cost way more time than the slipstream would gain, better to get a little bit of slipstream and leave space
Base on the lap, where he gained & how he gained on the car in front... he should've drafted that car, do slow in fast out thru teargarden to make time on the front straight.
People keep claiming it wasn't the pole lap, but you can see there's no checkered flag at the end (clearly visible in the 2nd run). This IS the pole lap.

Who are the commentators? Is the northeasterner Hindhaugh? I'm bad with remembering names but I'll try lol
I love the sound of the M4 GT3

@@peterfruchtig5334 I love how they ditched the screaming V12 for a turbo V8 and still produced a great (albeit different) sounding car
@@RL- A great example of how turbo cars can still have a great sound if manufacturers put some effort into the design.

Great that it is spoken all the time. Really, really good. Thanks for that.
I mean... i play ACC, have nothing to lose, risk every corner, and barely do a 8:25 lap...

Same.. and it looks I did no mistakes as well :D

Is this not an onboard the 2nd lap of the run and the fastest was on the first? Since he didn't slow after the first lap like in this video

Was about to write exactly the same.
UA-cam hiding comments again, or something.

Hi, how do u add that team name, number and sponsor names at the top?
Why didnt he get more of a slipstream on the back straight? Just curious, Im sure theres a reason

@@TeamAbrams yes, that makes sense, ty !
My first ever lap at the gp track ended in a 180degree in the first corner... 😮💨
Only 23 hours 40 minutes to go

who cares
@BLITZKRIEG1 who cares to see the real pole lap and observe their references.
BMW AG Munich - “please disqualify the Ferrari!!!” 🙄
Pole lap for a 8h uh I mean 24h race
thats 1/3, so we need a 72h Race to have 24h of racing :D

Why denied himself of the draft😢... That M4 must've been running hot! Because he could've lined up better for a proper tow on the last straight....

The commentator's breathing between statements is annoying because he makes a loud noise. I appreciate the footage though!
Bro just shut up and leave us with engine and environment sound effects
