My father recommended me this film after watching papillon, shawshank redemption and alcatraz.. the soundtrack of this movie is an absolute masterpiece and i hear it even 2 months after watching the film
Amazing song !!! it's like everything becomes more magical and unexpected and it fits the movie. Total genius Giorgio Moroder .it's beautiful, how much I love listening to this song all the time and being able to be accompanied in such a short life that we have left. --Giorgio Moroder's synthesizers are amazing, it's something delirious .Beautiful song to dream of !!!! Thanks for uploading it...The actor crossed all human limits....CONGRATULATIONS...
I have always wondered why this final track has never been released in the soundtrack, it was the deepest, most struggling musical moment in the movie. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece that makes me cry every single time I hear it...
Indeed! I was also so disappointed after buying the cd, waiting for the moment which never came. And afterwards I searched for special editions, prints from other countries. Nothing. I’m still surprised they’ve never thought of making a new version of the soundtrack including the still missing best track in the movie
❤❤❤ I was just a teenager when I saw this movie. It was unforgettable . Searing . I had cried at the end for him. This music as if stayed in my head all this time.
Yes ,years of pain just because also he was american ...at that time political relationship with the USA and Turkey wasn t good ...because of president Nixon
Incredible composition for the late 70s. Although I realise the pioneers for this music style, were Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman and Jean Michelle Jarre. As for the film, Brad Davis outstanding and a sort of James Dean type quality. Died in 1991 🙏 John Hurt a British actor, also fantastic. It deviates from the actual story, as you probably realise. Especially the ending. This would be probably down to Oliver Stone's screenplay. David Putnam was involved in this film; so it was a good basis. As well as Sir Alan William Parker CBE who died in 2020 aged 76. Thanking you. 🇬🇧🤝🇫🇷
Thanks for acknowledging Alan Parker's death.I'm glad someone out there remembers him.He did an amazing job on this and especially Pink Floyd The Wall!
I too have always wondered why this was not on the soundtrack album, personally I don’t like the soundtrack album because it re-records everything to have a more disco feel to it, but in my opinion this particular track is what won Giorgio Moroder the Academy award.
I remember a briefing we got in Japan during our newcomers orientation from an American who was prisoner for doing drugs there. He told us don’t do it for the consequences were not good for foreigners doing so.
There was some confusion over his death…. I think he got aids via blood transfusions but he didn’t actually have aids his girlfriend at the time confirmed his Tragic ending for a totally underrated actor with a tragically short career Brad Davis

Right the most beautiful moving part of the soundtrack and they never released it.....
Totally agree. Should have been on the original soundtrack lp from 1978.
I remember getting the album after I saw the movie and I was so disappointed they practically turned this haunting theme into a disco number.
Indeed! I was also so disappointed after buying the cd, waiting for the moment which never came. And afterwards I searched for special editions, prints from other countries. Nothing. He also appeared in Chariots of Fire, A Rumor of War, Cold Steel and The Player. He only died in 1991, with The Player being his last movie.
