The fact that she constantly showed she was who was best to take the throne and no one stop to look at that all they seen was a woman who was to compassionate is what was really sad. Everyone wanted the throne to be able to do their evil deeds even faster and she was the only one who wanted to save everyone from what was coming.
I think is more fact somebody is always unhappy and everybody just wants iron throne, Targaryen always get bad wrap and yet every house uses brutality on occasion. And I can see rhenyra being a lil corrupt later. Like in got danyers wasn't perfect hero and snow, while starks are most honorable doesn't mean they don't occasionally act stupid. Technically, Aegon II line wasn't extinguished due to his daughter still surviving the Dance of the Dragons, and being married to Aegon III so it can be argued that both Rheanyra and Aegon won the legacy battle.
Jaehaera passed away without giving Aegon III children . Aegon III had children with a second wife so Aegon IIs line was extinguished

They really are very similar, Daenerys and her. They are truly kind and serves equal justice to all. But their pure heart are very fragile. Once bad things pile up against them and their loved ones dying, they start to become ruthless and mad. For any of you guys who watched Naruto “anime”, they are like the Uchihas. Very sincere and pure but once tainted and damaged, they become brutal and unforgiving.
He fails to mention the people began to hate Rhaenyra because she was forced to heavily tax them because Aegon/Aemond's council took all the gold from the treasury before she retook King's Landing. Funny thing is when Cregan Stark shows up, thats one of the first things he forces the "Green" council to do, give back all the gold they took.

Here's the thing, before the dragon riders were very powerful magicians. Then dragon riders. Not all valerians are related to dragon riders. Anyway these magicians, the hightowers descended from them but obviously by this point they got no cool abilities. And these are involved with the maesters who ironically want to squash magic and yet allow a handful to use. It's gatekeeping. But the dragon riders should never existed. Dragons caused the doom. There is still a magic to counter walkers although everybody thought dragons were only way

Like, one of the only reasons I am still following this dumpster fire of a show is to see her get hers... ugh, she's so damn insufferable. Can't wait to see Aemond and Daemon duel it out and plunge to their deaths as well. Actually, if Aemond wasn't deliberately written to be the bad guy, I'd almost be rooting for him. The rest are just about as compelling as a plank of wood and there is little joy in watching this show other than seeing them meet their ends.

Well, in a way she 'won' because...her line continued on: Her son Aegon the Younger (her 4th son with Daemon) became King (later on her youngest son Viserys II also became King). The Greens line died off. Aegon died (poisoned), Aemond died (after the battle with Daemon), Alicent died (allegedly went nutty), Helaena died, Daeron died, and even Jaehara (the granddaughter, daughter of Aegon the elder and Helaena) died after her wedding to Aegon The Younger.
