When I saw the Corda Rosa I got instantly thought of BK's Hanging in Hawaii (minus the glitters, of course).
Dang I wanted that palette so bad but you just saved me so much money 😂

I hadn’t been interested in any of these comparable palettes when they were released and passed on all of them without regret. And yet, I *love* the look of Cor de Rosa. Now I’m thinking it’s the packaging and presentation that makes me want it as much as I do, and I’m inspired to just dig through my collection and find dupes across a few palettes instead.
I bought the sigma palette but this saved me from buying the Sweet talk, California lovin and the Its All Good palette since I also have the Fortune palette by colourpop. So thank you :)

I already had 9 of the 12 dupes (no CColor or Makeup Revolution), and I STILL got the Cor De Rosa.... I have a problem. But this color story is so gorgeous!!! I absolutely get a lot of use out of those pinky/coral-y/mauve-y/gold-y tones. And I am an absolute sucker for anything with a rose theme. That being said, I love these videos from you! This is so helpful to see what shades we already have - and even what other palettes would coordinate well with what we already have. Thank you for doing these videos!!! 💖

The Cor De Rosa palette also gives me mad ABH Modern Renaissance vibes mixed with Soft Glam. That being said I still prefer the color story, pink backdrop/layout , and overall design and packaging of the Sigma palette as opposed to the ABH ones.

I love, love looking at the new palettes presented here by Jen, her level of research is highly comprehensive. I appreciate how she researches ingredients, color swatches....then her wheels spin into dupes ultimately saving us money. Don't get me wrong I still buy, just more informed buying thank you Jen.

These Videos are sooo important. Before I Buy, I look at the palette and see if I have those shades in my little collection already. If I don't have the colors I put the palette on my Wish List and see after a while if I still want those colors, then I can save up for them and buy the single colors that I don't have in my collection, or look for a more affordable palette that has those colors, like with Colourpop has those Mauve and plum palettes now.
I still want to get the cor de rosa palette. Also the extra spicy palette. 😭😭😭🎨🎨🎨🎨

I totally was not expecting so much overlap! I wasn't going to get the Sigma palette because I'm reining in my makeup spending right now. Since I have California Love - I was definitely not expecting that on the list! - and can pull berry shades from other palettes, I no longer am disappointed.

By looking at the layout at first I immediately think of the abh carli bybel palette! This palette is much warmer though!

Sigma palettes are a really nice formula. I think their Enchanted palette is more of a unique color story than this one if you do decide to try them at some point. 🤗💕

You know what is so sad, if we stop and really think for a min, the amount of pallets and make up that we buy then Throw away pretty much brand new it’s crazy.. like when we watch these declutter videos almost all the make up looks unused🤦♀️

Jennifer Eaves yes absolutely, like we all know we have eyeshadow pallets that have the same colours but u don’t really see just how bad it is until someone lays it out in front of you and u get to see just how similar they really are. It really is mind blowing 🤯 when u watch the declutter vids and almost all the pallets look like they haven’t been touched or barely touched, really how many of the eyeshadows have actually hit pan, maybe 1 or 2, and then the funny part is they are either chucked in the garbage or given away and I bet you that whoever gets them prob holds on to them and throws it away after a while too🤷♀️, maybe minus the women’s shelters....it’s just so much. then u have to add in the highlighters and bronzers and all the other shit, but eye shadow pallets are by far the worst! It’s literally the make up companies make them, we buy them, hold on to them with the intention of using them, then get rid of them...but in the end I know how it is, it’s the fact of “new products” and “new packaging” and shit like that, that get us...this has really opened up my 👀 tho!!
Taylor_ Vancouver23 This is so true. I have so many palettes and the interesting thing is, I am drawn to the same bronzes and taupe and brown shades is any palette. My intention was to seriously down scale the hauling this year and use my stash, & now with this COVID-19 global pandemic and everything non-essential shutting down, I have had to really just use what I have. Which has been a blessing in disguise. It is so tempting to fall for the packaging, but you know, there are only so many colors, and if you have a couple of palettes, you cover almost everything- or at the very least own the colors you are drawn to. So videos like these are so good, because it just emphasizes what you already have. But I still love me some Mother Pat & Juvia’s Place ( my Achilles heel ). 🥰

Great video. Amazing how many close palettes you found. Whenever there is a palette I want, I will go through my eyeshadows to see what I have that is similar to the colors I am drawn to. It has helped me from buying as much makeup as I have in the past.

Wow, I'm surprised at how many similarities there were. But you're so right - the packaging and layout can really make a palette look different. I keep trying to shop my stash with my phone ready for swatches and videos like these when I see something that instantly attracts me, so I'm not impulse buying like I would have in the past!
That's a great idea to check first! Impulse buying is strong with makeup so it definitely helps to think about it first. Usually when I do that I decide I don't need it.

Dragon Stone I don’t either (even though I’m sure I could find a color here & there from my other palettes) so instead of getting the Sigma I’m getting the CColor for a 1/4 of the price.

I have no FOMO thank god but I just placed a coulorpop order 😬 I think I picked up 5 palette and 3 of which I wanted for a year now the going coconuts has been calling me since the launch and the baby got peach so I figured I wanted them this long I might as well do it but with baby got peach I feel like sweet talk is so close I’m not sure why I wanted it so bad I figured sweet peach would make me not want it but nope

Love that you included the dupes. I really love the colors in this palette and I don't actually have any of the palettes that you mentioned as dupes.
