Mr Pool Player yeah growing up as a kid it did kind of bother me because I love animals. But what I figured is as an adult he killed the dog because Chuckie was dead so nobody was going to be there to feed him so he put him out of his misery. And it was a way for him to relieve stress he wanted to shoot something because of everything going on
Yeah man because two children getting gunned down matter less than a dog any day. Also the dog had killed another. It was done. An animal that’s supposed to be domesticated that’s tasted blood can’t be allowed to roam free unfortunately. Fresh had no real way of taking care of it and releasing it as a stray could be potentially dangerous. It’s sad how he shot the dog but it was a necessary evil
The dog would have had no kind of life when Fresh’s plan was complete. He couldn’t abandon the dog and no one else would have able to take care of it. It was also involved in dogfighting which is a horrible life for a dog. He had no other options.
So if Fresh wasn’t a chess pro, he wouldn’t have been clever enough to bamboozle everyone and thus would’ve remained a runner for Esteban, resulting in an unavoidable death at the hands of Corky’s goons Jake, Darryl, Smokey, and Red.
