I have that same EQ pedal. Had it for years. YES... it works! I use mine in the loop tho.
I use mine in the loop as well. What's the difference between loop or in front?
@@Lesspaw41 Typically, the loop is after the preamp, and before the power amp. Some effects work better in-front of the preamp, some work better after it.

So basically the secret is a noise gate and raising the mid freq killing the bass freq.. the single pedal from horizon devices does the same thing.
Kill the bass and push the highs…basically is destroying the DI signal :)

It's a great tool! You can even use it to stack before or after an overdrive to tighten the tone or accentuate the high or low chug frequencies. Also they are great in the effects loop to act as "fine tuning" for your tone controls - very good for players on a budget as you can really improve the sound of an inexpensive combo amp. Enjoy!

Hi mate,New subscriber here.I have been using the 7 band eq as the last pedal in the FX loop and i precision overdrive at the start of my chain.
If I played a 10 band eq pedal at the front of my chain could I still stack it with an overdrive and if so would you go noise gate then 10 band eq then overdrive?Thanks
For sure! even better will be to place the noise gate with the 4 cable method placing both in front and in the llop of the amplifier to reduce both the noise of the pedals and the amp
@@MadSteex is there much difference between a 7 band eq and a 10 band eq?.Is it worth the upgrade with already having a 7 band eq pedal.
@@gazzaduce3424 It depends on the frequencies as you have seen with the Supro I needed specific frequencies to be more surgical, but if you want to use the eq before and after the amp you need anyway 2 eqs, the first in front to make the amp chug and the second after the amp to preserve bottom and other post eq

It definatley tighens it up. But im not so sure that it sounds good though, maybe its just me.
I think this is just an example, as a EQ boost for the amp it will get better if you add a Maxon 808 or tube screamer

man can you try to achieve the samurai tone ? base urself on “archangel samurai” it’s like a a beefy tone but it’s not too loud like most of them are i would love it
