    Worked at a place that made neodymium magnets. They melt the iron then add the boron and neodymium plus a little nickel and cobalt. Then it is cast and crushed to fine powder under nitrogen. This powder is pressed into blanks that are sintered under a vacuum with a rather weak magnetic field on it, This weak field does not charge the magnet but polarized the crystal structure so it can accept a charge. Next they are cut and ground to spec and coated with epoxy or plated with nickel. When they are ready they are charged by a powerful pulsed electromagnet. It has a field a couple orders of magnatude stronger than the resulting magnet. It will wipe your credit cards from 12 feet away.😮

    I purchased a sample pack of rare-earth magnets from AMF in Australia about 6 years ago for $25. My only online purchase ever. Those cute little magnets have transformed my workshop. Tool holding and so many projects, I'm amazed there are still a few "wasted" holding photos on the fridge. I should proabably order some more. $0.02

    One of mankinds greatest failings has been to not see the full potential of what can be done with magnets. Typically, we just thought there was nothing left to be discovered about magnetism, so we didnt try. Same with crystallization, photosynthesis, ion collection and storage, chromosome manipulation.

      Yes same here!😂 note an easier way of creating a copper wire is to create a 10 foot tall box for molten copper sand casting. Set it to stand leangth wise in end. Then suspend rows of thick yarn, with a wax ball at the end to weight it down & keep it straight. Then fill in the 10 foot tall mold with oiled sand. Once the sand has settled into place pour the molten copper into the mold, & it will burn away the yarn & wax and presto! Easy copper wire. It might take a few goes of it though lol.

    • @GalutiaFamilyChannel
      @GalutiaFamilyChannel 2 місяці тому

      Also look into voltage “stepping” with copper coils & spark gap lazers. You can literally create a laser from two metal edges sparking together to create a plasma laser

    There are so many videos on UA-cam detailing this process. They all use this exact footage and very similar wording. They cover the same points in the same order. Even the list of ingredients is the exact same in order and wording. And no sources cited. What kind of mass plagiarism is happening with this specific topic?

    This video can't decide if it's a home entertainment video or a technical discussion. It's very important we know thoroughly, but you sprint through induction furnace behavior and metallurgy. Then again if it's entertainment you're dropping terms wayy to hard for kids and norms. Pick.
