I don't know if you considered AS seasons for this video, but I think that the hotel challange from AS5 could also fit in very well into this category, given that the the winning team created something similar to a sketch that was in the bottom in the previous AS season, and that the winner came from a different team which got harsh critiques by the judges

If you see the movie (Precious), Stacy did a strong impression that was made comical, because it wasn't a funny character at all and actually a tragic one.

Gigi Goode shouldn't have won the "Just the mirror" aka the last episode challenge. Jaida had better critiques on the one hand and on the other hand nobody won the last challenge before or after that.

The girl group challenge on down under shouldn’t have had a winner imo, here’s why: For starters, it is COMPLETE BS to judge it individually when the best performances will be when the teams work well together. They obviously just did this so they could give a win to Skkkartlett without having to also give it to other queens and have them on the same level as her, especially seeing as it would have been Anita’s second win making her the front runner and it’s obvious they were planning to f her over for shock value from the start. But even if we pretend it should have been judged individually, none of them did that great a job enough to win. Scarlett had the third/fourth best verse and whilst her performance was fine, I didn’t think her runway actually met the category (it’s bogan prom REALNESS, she served something camp. Imo that’s completely misunderstanding the assignment and shouldn’t be rewarded unless she had a stellar performance otherwise, which she didn’t. Anita and Kita easily had the best verses but one fucked her performance and the other fucked her runway. Even so I supposed if they HAD to have a winner and they were rigging it in someone’s favour it could have been them, but still kinda undeserved imo. If we judge correctly and go by group wins, none of the groups stood out from each other. They basically both had 1 or 2 good verses, 1 safe verse and 1 or 2 shit verses. Their performances weren’t stellar and the runway category was so confusing that honestly I don’t think anyone really hit the nail on the head, except for maybe Electra, Coco and Maxi (for her version of it at least) but even then they weren’t great and all three were put in the bottom by the judges. Overall I think 1) these challenges should stay as group wins and 2) nobody should have won as no one did good in all three aspects of the episode, let alone great.
When they did #1 on your list, that was one of the most disappointing episodes to ever air. As a huge horror fan, I couldn’t believe just how badly almost every contestant butchered that when it should have been a pretty easy week to be very creative.
I don't typically comment, but even though i don't think either Raja or Silky should have won because of their other Monster Ball looks, i don't think their witch looks should be discounted because they looked to black iconography as their references. Plenty of white references are celebrated and raised up and even explained, so I think Silky's look especially, should be as well recieved as say, Nina's.
Yeah but Silky's look was incomplete. The actual look has completely different UGLY make up, complete with prosthetics and the dress is much more elaborate. When you pull an actual reference in drag you are supposed to make it bigger, not party store version. She could have done it with beautiful make up still I guess but just make it much more intense (and maybe it would have solved her disaster of a monster look).
Exactly. I don't want queens on international seasons to change their references to cater to an American audience either (looking at you Ru with your Snatch Game requests)
I don't think the winner of the challenge needs to be "excellent"; some challenges are more exciting than others. in that sense, the only reason to have a no-winner episode would be if everyone was really, I mean REALLY bad, which wasn't even the case in the UK S3 - River won that.

I have been saying that since the episode aired that Sasha was very basic in that challenge. I mean call me biased or not but Alexis Michelle at least made an interesting corset. It wasn't the best look but I still prefer Alexis' native American look over Sasha's ranger look.
Yeah for me Sasha's bandana look was not just basic, it was also not flattering. But her unicorn slayed and her rainbow look while basic, had gay references and also did not assault my eyes like Alexis' did.

This reminds me, in the second episode of drag race France, the critiques were pretty weird as even afterwards I'm still not sure who was the top and bottom. The queens were even shown wondering who was top and bottom, in a pseudo untucked. I would love to see your reaction to that.
I actually hoped they would do a "no winner" stunt for episode three of this season of UK, the camping themed one. I dont think anyone that week really nailed all three of the looks, and therefore i thought no one really was deserving of a win that week
it doesn't count as an official spinoff but in La Más Draga 2's Final 4 the judges made all the queens lipsync for their lives, so no winner in that episode.
I feel like Shea was the clear winner of Gayest Ball on Earth. Her first look wasn't great, but her second two were. I also think clear winners could've been picked for Face of Cakes. Raja was a fair winner. Her undergarments showed, but that aside it was still easily the most fashion-forward outfit there. I actually think Delta should have won that challenge though.
I thought in the cake thing, Yara slayed 😩 and Season 3 snatch game my fav was Raja 😳 In season 11 Unconventional Materials, the best was Yvie 😳 And the monster ball, Scarlet SLAYED, Brooke and Yvie were high and didn't deserve it 😩

If we judge correctly and go by group wins, none of the groups stood out from each other. They basically both had 1 or 2 good verses, 1 safe verse and 1 or 2 shit verses. Their performances weren’t stellar and the runway category was so confusing that honestly I don’t think anyone really hit the nail on the head, except for maybe Electra, Coco and Maxi (for her version of it at least) but even then they weren’t great and all three were put in the bottom by the judges.
Overall I think 1) these challenges should stay as group wins and 2) nobody should have won as no one did good in all three aspects of the episode, let alone great.
When they did #1 on your list, that was one of the most disappointing episodes to ever air. As a huge horror fan, I couldn’t believe just how badly almost every contestant butchered that when it should have been a pretty easy week to be very creative.
This season is over now they eliminated River and Choriza ... literally the only people who were genuinely and charismatic
I don't typically comment, but even though i don't think either Raja or Silky should have won because of their other Monster Ball looks, i don't think their witch looks should be discounted because they looked to black iconography as their references. Plenty of white references are celebrated and raised up and even explained, so I think Silky's look especially, should be as well recieved as say, Nina's.
Yeah but Silky's look was incomplete. The actual look has completely different UGLY make up, complete with prosthetics and the dress is much more elaborate. When you pull an actual reference in drag you are supposed to make it bigger, not party store version. She could have done it with beautiful make up still I guess but just make it much more intense (and maybe it would have solved her disaster of a monster look).
Exactly. I don't want queens on international seasons to change their references to cater to an American audience either (looking at you Ru with your Snatch Game requests)
I don't think the winner of the challenge needs to be "excellent"; some challenges are more exciting than others. in that sense, the only reason to have a no-winner episode would be if everyone was really, I mean REALLY bad, which wasn't even the case in the UK S3 - River won that.

An episode I would personally add (JUST MY OPINION) is the Season 4 makeover. Although Jaremi did the least bad, no look really screamed winner to me

I have been saying that since the episode aired that Sasha was very basic in that challenge. I mean call me biased or not but Alexis Michelle at least made an interesting corset. It wasn't the best look but I still prefer Alexis' native American look over Sasha's ranger look.
Yeah for me Sasha's bandana look was not just basic, it was also not flattering. But her unicorn slayed and her rainbow look while basic, had gay references and also did not assault my eyes like Alexis' did.
Shangela 100% should’ve been in the bottom for the Face of Cakes challenge, she had worst critiques than Alexis and a worst look. And that’s a hill I’ll die on 😂

This reminds me, in the second episode of drag race France, the critiques were pretty weird as even afterwards I'm still not sure who was the top and bottom. The queens were even shown wondering who was top and bottom, in a pseudo untucked. I would love to see your reaction to that.
I actually hoped they would do a "no winner" stunt for episode three of this season of UK, the camping themed one. I dont think anyone that week really nailed all three of the looks, and therefore i thought no one really was deserving of a win that week

it doesn't count as an official spinoff but in La Más Draga 2's Final 4 the judges made all the queens lipsync for their lives, so no winner in that episode.

I feel like Shea was the clear winner of Gayest Ball on Earth. Her first look wasn't great, but her second two were. I also think clear winners could've been picked for Face of Cakes. Raja was a fair winner. Her undergarments showed, but that aside it was still easily the most fashion-forward outfit there. I actually think Delta should have won that challenge though.
The only ever time there was no “winner” was the penultimate episode for season 11.

I am with you, I’m on the train up until the #1 spot, where I would sub out the season 11 snatch game. I would do this because I think the horror ball had queens that I think could have won based in criteria and I was even going to mention both Nina West and Scarlet Envy
