Hey David, I HIGHLY recommend you watch the ‘The Rolling Giant’ by the UA-cam channel Kane Pixels. It’s a short horror film made about this exact mall and I think as someone who has been there a lot as a kid it would be an incredible watch for you
And that horrifying creature aswell? This mall was copy and pasted a Mile underground and that creepy flower statue thing slaughters any children who find the staircase down
I was born in Dallas in 1980 and this mall was one of my favorite hangout places and even worked in the mailroom at Dillards and since leaving Dallas in 2003 I will always have fond memories 😌😔.
I lived in Dallas from February 2001 to July or August of 2003 and worked at Hat World inside Valley View Mall and have some fond memories at that place. Going to 97.9 The Beat was definitely a highlight of mine. When I moved back to Fort Worth, I would take the TRE train to Valley View and Collin Creek. It makes me feel some type of way seeing those places be memories now. Almost like a piece of my life was taken with those malls. R.I.P. to Valley View Mall and Collin Creek Mall.
Greed of mall owners is also part of the reason that most of the malls spaces are vacant, rents are so high that tenants aren’t willing to do business in malls anymore, poor management is also the causes for store shut down as well.
For the dude who said cane pixels rip-off this is actually real mall from the cane pixels but it wasn't actually a real mall and that got torn down this isn't a rip-off
It's a sign of the REAL economy. Not the BS they tell you on the news. REAL (adjusted) wages are headed towards depression-era levels. Malls are fun-buying and Americans don't have play-$ to blow on impulse buys. They also work more hours and have less kids to take to these places. Mexican couples raise children. White couples raise designer _dogs_
I go to Stonebriar mostly. Sometimes the Galleria and Northpark and Willowbend every once in awhile. I like to go at night on a weeknight. I can't stand malls on a Saturday afternoon. Theree really isn't much that I buy. Most of the stores that I really do buy stuff at like Academy Sports aren't in malls typically. During this holiday season in 2020 with the Pandemic, I would like to go to the mall shop instead of doing it online to help someone's job and help the demand of the mall but it's really kind of hard because they reduced the hours. I'll have to probably do some online shopping. They kind of brought the pain on themselves I guess.
Kane pixel ripe off??? I recently watched a video made by Kane pixels (the same guy that made the backrooms videos), and then I found this. This is clearly a rip-off from the video that Kane pixels made. I mean, come on. Just look at the comparisons. They look almost the exact same. Honestly, this is a shameless cash grab to get money out of fans of Kane pixels. No wonder they demolished it in 2015. They probably got in trouble for this terrible recreation of the oldest view. I hope the people that made this mall see this a feel ashamed of themselves.
@boeinthuziast why would I joke!!! This is serious! Kane pixels needs to press charges on these people. I mean, which side are you on? They clearly ripped off the Kane pixels video. Why should they be able to do that without permission. Shameful indeed.
Kane captured the feel of the mall perfectly.
This mall played a major part in my childhood life and teenage life.
Same man
Same here, my parents met here around when it opened.

They should convert these malls to Gen X retirement communities.

I only know of one city that has thriving malls. That it Las Vegas.
My last mall experience was voting against Joe Biden. Otherwise it's been decades.
Who else came here because of the indie horror film?
I drove past here while going to north park mall and it was gone, the amc theater stayed
