Love this. A little hint with pyramid molds, place a little corn starch in the plastic housing before putting the mold in. It will slide right into place and it will come out much easier, plus it will be centered exactly so you don't get a corner that's misshapen. Love those chrome powders.
So perfect! Id also like to say a BIG thank you for not quitting you tube. I was watching a video from 2 years ago about a troll giving you a hard time. So glad you didnt let the make you give up. I have learned so much watching your videos. Thank you for sharing some of your life!❤
Oooooo that chrome gnome Santa looks so cool! The bird on the hat being red is perfect, in my opinion, because it reminds me of a Cardinal. I love how it turned out! Would also be a cool chrome Santa for a snow globe too. Thank you for the awesome project! You always have amazing videos and crafts, and I appreciate it!
WOW! That gnome looks like the old German mercury glass ornaments like our grandparents had!!!! Your suspension system is MUCH, MUCH better than suspending larger items with string. Thank you!!
Holy cow, i got these molds a couple weeks ago and I've been doing white resin and then painting it after I take it out of the mold, I can't believe you managed to do all that painting so clean with the different colors on the inside of the mold. I could never even do that.much
My goodness! That turned out perfectly! I absolutely love it. A Christmas tree would look amazing in there too. Or a nativity scene. Absolutely stunning! ❤
I really didn't think you added enough glitter for the falling snow , it was just perfect when you took it out . This was a really important lesson for me I would have added way too many that it wouldn't look good. I actually buy alot of the stuff you have because of you when I can find them. I was never interested in resin until I found your videos .
@ well I can tell you that you nailed! I LOVE gnomes… I finally was able to order some moulds… can't wait to use them… but, gonna have to wait a few more days… I just go home from spending a little over a week in the hospital… I had to have surgery on my lower back…. My spinal fusion was broken badly when I had a freak fall in my kitchen of all places… broken the fusion, my tailbone and fractured my pelvis down from the point of where a screw that was used to stabilize spinal fusion was placed… fun times!
Wishing you all the very best for a speedy and full recovery from such a bizarre accident. I hope your crafting gives you all the pleasure you deserve from a fabulous hobby! XxX
@@lisacarter8616 thanks! Things are going well! Got the staples out on Thursday, all 42 of them! Not fun but glad they are gone… just waiting to get approval to go back to the pool again… I swim 3 times a week and i sure Miss it!
Oh, that's just beautiful, Steve! 😊💕 LOVE the wee gnome/Santa, the chrome powders are just fabulous...gotta get me some! The pyramid turned out GREAT! ❤👍😊
Absolutely gorgeous !!! I've got to get some " chrome powders" now!!! You could maybe turn the sides down to get into the hat on your Santa.... At least that's what I would try 😊 Stay safe, you do you, protect yourself and stay crafty 🔔🔔👍👍🦋🦋👑👑
Wow! Those chrome powders are amazing! I really love this! The bird on his hat is a cardinal so maybe you could use a paint marker on his face and feet? This really turned out beautiful! I love it!
One of the tricks used to achieve the most detail in mica painting your molds is to use painter’s tape to remove the “oversmear” from one colour before applying the next one. It turned out well with a less meticulous approach but the smears around the belt have the charm of a child colouring outside the lines. Some will like it for the charm, some will look at it as a defect. The end product looks great and you have some great tips for suspending within resin. I would also recommend a level pouring platform. You can get one of the retail adjustable platforms or get a flat surface and level it with shims.
Steve this turned out amazing! Not a single bubble. What deep pour did you use...because you did it all in one pour right? I didn't think most deep pours could be used for more than 3-4 inches at a time. Was this the JDiction? Thanks for the help and I love your videos 🤩😁
Ohhh, so pretty... Do you think a tiny swirl of silvery blue in the base of the pyramid would add a bit of depth to the snow effect? Or would it detract from the clean look?
I keep trying to get the chrome powders here in the UK, but having no joy, they always give such great results. I’ve got all their chameleon powders and flakes, just so want the chrome. Is there anyway to get them? Thanks Steve ❤
Hey Steve, love the result, but have you considered turning the insert mold, ie the gnome, inside out to dust with powder? I do it with my smaller skull molds and it's much easier to do neatly and less mess! Cheers
Tap the excess off... u should set the jar on paper. (Knowing it like me n knock everything over lol) When ur applying makeup they tap the brush/ sponge on the edge of something hard
I wouldnt say I'm neat when it comes to brushing powders on molds, I just clean up excess powder in spots I don't want it, as best as I can after each color. But it takes a long time.
I always get a residue pattern because of my.mold.release spray, do you ever see that, it's like the patterns that hairspray makes except I don't want them 🤣
@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts ill have to try that, so it's not a brand related thing? It looked like you sprayed that pyramid more than I spray my coasters but video is deceiving so im sure you're right, thanks for the advice!

Love him in the pyramid ❤😊

Thanks so much! 😊 this mould comes with a Christmas tree mould I should have done that as well
Stunning! I don't have a place where I can pour resin, but when I do, you will be a huge source of "you can do it" inspiration.
Love it! Well done Steve! 😀👍
Glad you enjoyed it

Looks Amazing Steve! Nice Job Bud! 🤝
The Santa that you linked was not the one you used? Or unless Amazon brought up the wrong one. 😔
Love it

That Santa came out awesome. I love him❤. Great job, Steve. Thank you for sharing, and I love watching your videos. You always put a smile on my face.
I love how that Santa came out. It was a very smart result.
❤❤ it 😊
At least the bird you accidentally painted red was a Red Cardinal 😂. That pyramid mould is quite daunting 😱
That was a cute pyramid u made!
Beautiful Christmas Pyramid Steve, I love it. -Beverly

I love the santa. Where can I buy one?
❤
Cardinal is a red bird so that's what will go with😊
6:47 looks like a black lab’s head 🤣
HAHAH i went and looked and you are right
😊❤👏🏻👌🏻
The bird on his hat looks like a Cardinal. Aside from a few black markings, they are in fact red.
i usually flip the mold inside out when i'm coloring it.
What’s the story behind the coffee gifts I’ve seen it on a few peoples videos
Tap the excess off... u should set the jar on paper. (Knowing it like me n knock everything over lol) When ur applying makeup they tap the brush/ sponge on the edge of something hard
use longer makeup brushes or attach shorter brushes to a small stick.
Love it but why didn't u just put a bit of white paint on the bird?
I was just going to tell you to tape or glue a stick to the make-up sponge. The handle, I mean.
I wouldnt say I'm neat when it comes to brushing powders on molds, I just clean up excess powder in spots I don't want it, as best as I can after each color. But it takes a long time.
It does take a while. I was surprised at how neat this one came out, which is so unlike me
Frustrating. Can’t get delivery to Australia of chrome parts and lots of other products. Help u Aussies out
That is so annoying as I am sure there is a market for these things in Australia
I always get a residue pattern because of my.mold.release spray, do you ever see that, it's like the patterns that hairspray makes except I don't want them 🤣
I had that at first, I found I was using too much. You only need a very very light spray and let it dry before pouring the resin.
@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts ill have to try that, so it's not a brand related thing? It looked like you sprayed that pyramid more than I spray my coasters but video is deceiving so im sure you're right, thanks for the advice!
