    This answers my problem, I had just moderate cracks that I carefully fillered with wood glue fine sawdust and wood filler so it's shells I need. And a small blowtorch I guess. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

      I wish you luck, the gourds are fragile and I found the shellac forms a hard shell around the cracks.
      Be careful with the blowtorch though, it will remove the surrounding varnish if you don't protect it. I used a metal scraper to deflect the heat.

      @@davidhaggarty I will indeed, my other option is to warm in a pastic bag as shellac melts at 50 degree thanks for heads up.

    Some reason you didn't use hide glue? What most luthiers use.

      I had a lifetime supply of shellac so thought I'd give it a go. The result is certainly a firm repair which is what I needed, it being such a delicate instrument. Thanks for watching.

      Look at the effect it gave it man fuck hide glue that shit looks sick!
