Yeah and that’s the thing that’ll screw with a young guy like him, he clearly has problems striking out just in general, match that with bad calls and he is just a worthless player tbh. That’s how we get his 3-37 streaks where he just does absolutely nothing. Once he’s thrown off, he falls off a cliff, and umps like this cause it.
The famous 1975 World Series rematch!!! As a Sox fan, i tip my cap to Abbott tonite. He was sensational and really shut the Sox down. Quick turnaround and hopefully Sox bounce back and win the nex 2 just like they did last week against Phil's and Yanks
@@yusinu6642 Not embarrassing at all! If a pitcher (or batter I believe) disagrees with a ball or stroke call by the home plate umpire, they tap the top of their head (3 times maybe?). There is technology in place for an instant AI review of the pitch in relation to the strike zone. The call is reversed, if incorrect. You can probably find examples fairly easily on UA-cam.
Ump got the reds on the strike zone a few times but the Red Sox d evened it out. Great starting pitching for the red legs. Hot but fun game last night 🔥😅🇺🇸✊🏻
@@oIRONITEo Seriously. Everyone wanted him out after the first month and change. Career slow starter is going to start slow. Great to see the contributions he is making and why the front office went and picked this guy up.
What’s up with Eli bro just almost got struck out by the same fast 💨 ball 4x . And why are you looking 👀 at a close pitch 3-2. Sometime bro looks as if he’s getting it than others time he looks as if the moment is to big?
Ehh, I wouldn't say the reds are a terrible team. In my eyes they're way better than what their record says. I can tell Sox fans are definitely frustrated by this, but this is the same team that also made the DODGERS look foolish. As long as the fielding gets cleaned up, the red sox should be just fine.
Do you mean India or Espinal? Catcher is not pernitted to block the runner's path to the plate unless he's in possession of the ball. Catcher had possession.
@@BasedAurelius exactly, that strike out call was so frustrating. I'm starting to think Elly should start batting lower to counter those terrible calls
The play at home plate why wasn’t a blocking called on cachter he was straddling home plate. That is illegal botched call by home plate umpire. He also made bad calls on the reds hitters doesn’t know the difference between a strike and a ball!
Boy Elly did strike out 3 times , but didn't get no help from home plate ump. Strike out in bottom 3rd, wasn't a strike!!!! Midway between his ankles and kness. Elly's 6'5", these umps don't adjust there strike zone by the hitters , a strike high or low on Elly , is same with T.J. Fredil. Terrible strike zones everyday. Every ump, behind the plate. Looks like major league baseball would bring this up, every week, in zoom calls- meetings, till it got in these guys head. A low strike on Elly, is not same with tj. COM-ON MAN!!!!!!
reds gotta get on heater to make this central division race interesting for us in reds country
Horrible "strike" calls for Elly. He is not playing golf

2:01 Most confdent "In there"! on a low ball i have ever heard. Red Sox commentators have to be on something
Well, if the ump calls it a strike, it's a strike. Can't wait for MLB to adopt the head tap, like they do in the minors.
@@nate78824 ahh this is embarrassing to ask but what is the "head tap" in the minors? I'm still new to baseball.

the candyman really popping off lately
Wow, a Designated Hitter that hits!
The wife and I were there and had a blast. Probably 35000 plus , nice crowd. At least a few thousand disappointed Bosox fans were there too.

Hey Elly, you should pair up with Candy Man during batting practice and take some pointers.
That wasn’t a strike 🪧
Really love how Candy has turned it around

Candelerio has been one of the best additions in the last several years.
No doubt, He has been crushing the ball, started really slow the beginning of the year but the last month or so he has been balling out hard.
Bro has been smacking it 🎉
You should see what they said about him after the first month of the season.

Agree on the ump but I don’t want baseball to lose what makes it great. Sticky situation.
Boston Bushleaguers

It's not good when you end up with more errors than runs scored on offense. Hopefully Boston can bounce back tomorrow.
