I liked heavystep. I made tons of fanart of him. Because of his name, I thought that made him seem like a bigger cat which kinda made me feel seen. I loved him and I always will.
6:00 So I just looked at my french edition of Dark River, and it says that Graymist ''montrait les crocs''(was showing her fangs) which is an interesting way to translate ''was curling her lip'', and then it adds ''et elle n'était pas la seule''(and she wasn't the only one). There's no mention of another cat's name here. So the translator was likely aware of the Heavystep mistake, but instead of replacing it with another name, they did this.
Talk about Crookedstar! He’s my all time favorite character and has one of (imo the best) books in the entire series and he has really complex lore with his family Edit: yes I know suggestions aren’t taken from mini talkings but next talking I’ll post the same comment so look out for that if you wanna vote for Crookedstar
The writers forgetting they killed Heavystep is honestly pretty forgiveable imo. He was a nothing character who only existed to fill out RiverClan's roster. Beetlewhisker on the other hand had such in important death it's shocking and kinda anticlimatic he came back. His death scene is a turning point for oots- it's the part where the df trainees realize something more sinister is going on. It's the part where dark forest scenes go from "we are training with our ancestors to protect our clan" to "we are captives being forced to hurt our families or we will die." Beetlewhisker's death completely changes the tone of oots and that makes him a really memorable character. So it's a shame that was sort of ruined by him coming back.
I'd like to see a talking or mini talking about Brambleberry. She's such an underrated character, despite being the only one of Crookedstar's three different mother figures to not be manipulating and rude.
I still remember that in the new prophecy when the clans were travelling to the lake Smokepaw fell off the mountain and died. Next arc Smokepaw is alive and even became a warrior! Smokefoot eventually even got an apprentice too. I always found that interesting and it seams like not a lot of people talk about him.

Also, in Dovewing's Silence, he was said to have died in the Great Battle instead of beforehand, so you could possibily say that he died three (or four!) times: before the Great Battle, during the Great Battle, after The Raging Storm, and after The Darkest Night.

If I were to choose a cat to talk about, it would be Runningnose. I haven’t read the older books recently, but I feel Runningnose has gone through a lot in terms of facing bloodthirsty tyrants who try to manipulate the will of Starclan to their ideals, and how Runningnose was caught in the crossfire. I’m also pretty sure he has a decent interaction with Firestar too.
My vote is Half Moon from dawn of the clans, she has always been an interesting character to me, she led the cats up to the mountains, then when some of the mountain cats came to the original territories that was the future of the clans! I think she is very interesting and I would love to see her, that is if you haven’t talked about her already
