I am wondering the brace height of the Korean bow. My black shadow is only 14cm, and my turkish bow from AFarchery is 18cm. In my opinion, the turkish bow is much comfortable to draw and more accuracy(but slower). Should I make the string shorter?
Hello there. Very nice bow. I have a question. What is the function of the string on the thumb ring strapped to your wrist? I started my journey on increasing the weight of my draw, inspired by your videos, so I got a metal thumb ring from Alibow, and it comes with that same string. To be very honest, I didn't feel any difference when using it, and I have no idea what it's purpose is. So, I'm not using it. What am I doing wrong? What is it supposed to do? Thanks a lot.

From what i've read on forums daylite bows, white feather bows and the "nomade" series of bows by freddie are all manufactured by the same korean company "HMG" hence why they look like they use the same arrow rests, wrappings, handles, have the same available sizes, etc... And most models have the same laminations too. The monarq is supposed to be a bit different because of the higher quality carbon in it. Where i am i can get the black shadow (or a similar HMG bow) for 150 euros and the monarq for 200. In your opinion since you have both, any notable difference in the way these two bows behave. Thank you for your input.

For instance Freddie is the most notorious of those middlemen, doesn't make bows but sells of various makers. The basic freddie bows (made by HMG i guess) are sold one price on his site but you can find them for much cheaper in any European archery shop (140-160 euros). Apparently most of these bows are just reskins of one another with different handles and cosmetic features. Anyway i'm just trying to figure out if the monarq is identical to its cheaper twin the "white feather forever" or if it's worth spending the extra 60 euros.

Multiple arrows at 10gpp would have been more accurate. He only took one shot with a 9gpp. Most people are not shooting 330gr or 1000gr arrows from a 60lbs bow. Review could have been better.

korean bows have very short brace height in general.
At 28" draw, what's the draw weight and what's the speed with 585 grains arrow and mediteranian draw?
Koreans measure a little different with archery. They are sold as at 31 inches instead of at 28 inches.
It’s so interesting how longbows and recurves bow get marginally outpaced by a compound bow while a composite/horse bow only has a 10/15% difference
it depends, some well made self bows are very close to composite bows depending on arrow weight
a poorly made composite bow shoots slower than a well made self bow

You don't really "aim" with Asiatic bows. It's like throwing baseball or basketball, you just get it with trainings and practices.
