Thanks for the REALITY CHECK. It's obvious that paradise in these islands, like Mauritius and the Maldives, exists only if you stay in luxury resorts, locked in like a zoo animal. It's funny that people have this perception that these islands are somehow superior compared to other seaside countries. This is a fake image created by travel agencies. Thanks for showing people how these islands actually look-beautiful nature, regular beaches like everywhere else, but also some beaches that look nothing like the pictures from travel agencies. I appreciate this video. I am tired of the fake Instagram pictures.
Thank you so much for your feedback. It is really much appreciated!! This is exactly what we saw and shared . We had lods of negative messages from locals, very rude, hating us , but we do not have anything against Mauritius or any other country from the world....we are only sharing our experiences and ideas , without filters.
@@wingstf Thank you so much for not sugar coating. I am tired of people trying to hide their real experience while travelling. Perhaps, people prefer just to close their eyes and imagine that everything is so perfect in the expensive islands. There is no paradise on earth. Just NORMAL beautiful nature. Of course its different nature in different in different parts of the world. One thing clear: travel agencies are painting FAKE reality in order to get people spend money on luxury resorts.
@@pinakkoladaa I was brought up in Mauritius and I have to say this video doesn't do it any justice at all. Mauritius is even more gorgeous than those agencies pics and yet to meet 1 person that regretted visiting Mauritius. I visit Mauritius very regularly it's beautiful. I hope you have the opportunity to visit one day so that you can experience this little island's beauty for yourself ❤️
You needed to visit Pointe d'Esny - La cambuse - Trou aux Biches - Riambel - Poste de Flacq next to St Geran - Baie du Tombeau - Balaclava - but like many ignorant tourists you didn't think to ask a Mauritian but stuck to the tourist guide book.

@@wingstf You didn't visit the main beach at Tamarin, you needed to cross Black river to get to it, a unique and beautiful black lava soft sand beach offering the best body surfing on the island. If you are still on the island, you should try to discover La Cambuse east of the airport and Point d'Esny on the way to Blue Bay. Find the narrow foot paths that lead from the coast road down to the beach between the private residences, AND never forget that the sand beach between low tide and high tide is called crown land, and is owned by the government and therefore accessible to all including tourists. I like that not everybody has lost their sense of humour yet ! Next I expect from you guys is an extended family trip with kids and grandparents from both sides. Please, do it ! Do not disappoint me, I'll be waiting !🤣😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Just back myself from Mauritius, stayed at La Pirogue, in Flic en Flac…..beach was very rough covered with dead coral, very unlike our last visit in 2007…..reason, the island was hit by a Cyclone in January, and there were 3m waves crashing up the beach, leaving lots of coral….such is nature….it will recover and reset…. Wonderful island….back next year…
It is a beautiful island indeed!!We had very nice and relaxing sunset evenings on the beach at Flic en Flac. Happy you enjoyed your holiday. Thank you for sharing with us your experience 😊👍

You went to the wrong beaches this video is wrong!! Why don’t you go to the best beaches and show the reality? Tamarin isn’t the most beautiful beaches! It’s grey it’s open sea there’s no coral reefs there and you will not see blue lagoon because there’s no lagoon there!!
The video is not wrong and the beaches are not wrong as well. Mauritius like all other countries from the world has pro and cons. Did you see the whole video or only the part with Tamarin??
I also wanted to leave a bad comment or thumbs down because of the trashing of Mauritius throughout the video but these guys show both the bad .. and the good side.. so, all in all this is what Mauritius is about. It’s got a good balance of awesomeness and like any other country, a not so great side. P.s: I am Mauritian by birth (so I know the country..) and there’s a lot of other nicer beaches and places/ activities to visit/ do. Just not shown in this video.
