I've been reheating pizza in the microwave for nearly 30 years. People need to know that there are various power levels on the microwave. 80 is for reheating. I know that if I put 2 pieces of pizza in the microwave, with my wattage, it takes 1:45 at 80 power and what comes out is hot, delicisous pizza. If I could teach people two things it would be how to drive, and the second is to use the power levels on your microwave.
It’s nice to see intellectual people like you nowadays. I hate hearing people say “Just put it in the oven! Microwave food is always soggy!” No, you just don’t know how to properly use a microwave.
The best way is using both microwave and stove. Start by heating up a non-stick skillet on medium high heat. Reheat the pizza in the microwave but 10-15 seconds less than usual. Toss that slice into the now hot frying pan and get it crispy. Works every time! It's a really good method for things like frozen chicken nuggets, fries, or whatever you microwave but want crispy. You're welcome!
If you like your pizza really crispy set your oven to 475°F (245°C), then just set your pizza on the rack and let it cook for ten minutes and it’ll be really crispy and crunchy 👍
If you don't have paper towel, soak your pizza slices in a bowl of water for about 30 seconds, or enough time where the crust especially is damp, not hard or soggy. I've ran slices of pizza under water from the sink for 10 to 30 seconds, and made sure the water penetrated the crust through the sides and threw it in the microwave on a folded 2 ply paper towel for about 30 sec on the Pasta setting, or less than 2 minutes on a standard microwave. It came out with the cheesy, soft crust like I picked it up from the store. The magic is in the water. Let it soak the bread just enough but not too much. Doesn't matter if it's a paper towel included or not.
Same lol. With that $7 deal lovers thing they got ive been having one medium pizza for dinner one day and reheating the other medium pizza another day. Worked way better than i expected
i tried this with salad pizza (took off as much off the lettuce and chicken, put the chicken back on while microwaved) put the lettuce on after. really good.
DreamThreats i dont... i usually just use a an iron skillet but pretty much any frying pan will do. i suppose u can use a lil oil but i would only use a light coat... maybe even wipe it in using a ppr towel. it will definitely toast up well and help protect the pan. if u use olive oil, add some butter due to olive oil's low smoke point.
I like to wet the top of the pizza to rehydrate the cheese and then put it on the microwave for 1 min. After that, I put it in the oven 350-400 degrees for 5-10 mins to crisp up the bottom and the toppings a bit. It took me so many attempts to create this method lol
Hahah no problem I’m glad it helped you out. I actually found a much better method using the stove top if you wanna check it out here it is: ua-cam.com/video/JkiPiWc1Omc/v-deo.html
Can you only do this with pepperoni? Because I tried it with cheese and the paper towel stuck to all the cheese and I wasn’t even able to eat the pizza. Massively disappointed
I just use it to prevent too much moisture on the underside of the pizza. It tends to happen on a glass plate in the microwave then the crust is a little bit soggy. So the paper towel helps absorb some of the extra moisture
Yeah you could use it for French fries however they will probably be limp. If you want to crisp up leftover fries try my air fryer method shown here: ua-cam.com/video/XWZ54Kpn4kc/v-deo.html
Its not to help it not get soggy, its to keep it moist, and more specifically keep the crust from drying out and becoming rock hard, so yes for best results follow this method fully, including the wet paper towel
Well this method uses a microwave not an oven, so no you don't preheat a microwave. I do have a toaster oven method here: ua-cam.com/video/XPuCSXglIIc/v-deo.html
I haven't own a microwave in years because I want my kids to learn how to cook. Now, they're 18 and 17, my family gifted me a microwave this passed Christmas. And I'm here how to microwave a slice of pizza 🙄
Rob Some Knowledge Really? I just wanna make sure coz I got traumatized when I’ve mistakenly used foil and it sparks ⚡️ right away 😆. Thanks for the info. I’ve used to have a left over more often too 😂
Rob Some Knowledge Now I’m so careful in warming up my food and making sure that I’ll use my microwaveable plate 😂 How about the metal steel where they put as a stand of the pizza inside the microwave, it won’t spark too? I’ve seen some videos pizza maker and they’ve been using that metal steel stand - I was wondering if it won’t spark 😀
if you're doing a single slice, put it in for 30ish seconds and then take it out and wipe the moisture completely off the bottom of the plate and pizza, then put it back in for another 30ish seconds..with pizza you are almost always going to run into soggy crust before it dries out...
I just tried this method. I'm undecided on whether the best part was seeing the cheese stick to the wet paper towel as I pulled it away, or the fact that the edges were 10 times hotter than the center. Lesson learned... DON'T MICROWAVE PIZZA!
I mean sure but that kinda takes away the whole point of the video lol. The paper towel is optimal as it helps with retaining moisture in the cheese while also helping absorb extra moisture on the undercarriage preventing a soggy waterlogged crust.
I mean are you planning on doing this in front of a stadium of people or something lol? Who’s gonna think your insane for reheating pizza to perfection?
The best way to reheat pizza the next day, is to put it in a frying pan on low heat with a cover. It comes out amazing and crispy. You will never microwave pizza again.
So I wasn’t saying microwaving WAS the best way to do it. Just that this way is the BEST way if you must use a microwave. I actually have a video on the pan method also. How to Reheat Pizza with a Perfect Crispy Crust ua-cam.com/video/JkiPiWc1Omc/v-deo.html. I would agree between that and air fryer are the best reheat methods.
@@RobSomeKnowledge True. I guess I just wish to capture the most of the original taste I can without the strange fridge flavor and the microwave. I’ll absolutely try this towel method 👍🏼 Thank you for the video.
@@ConnerTheEsquire what do you mean by fridge taste? Lol that may be your problem. If your getting weird taste maybe next time try storing it in something air tight like a Tupperware container, instead of the box it came in. It may be absorbing smell/flavors from other foods/stuff in your fridge possibly?
Try the Air Fryer method: ua-cam.com/video/XWZ54Kpn4kc/v-deo.html
Try my toaster oven method: ua-cam.com/video/XPuCSXglIIc/v-deo.html
Yes I did search this ...
Same, I need good left over pizza
I am also strictly here on business.
Same Im tired of lame reheated pizza
lmfao
Same😂
I knew there was a way to do it in the Microwave. thanks rob.
I reheated my 2 day old pizza as he did step by step and let me tell you wow 100% recommend

I'm trying this as you speak

it worked tysm
I try this omg I can't believe what I miss for 20 years
This came out WAY better than i expected. Thank you for this video.
Glad you liked it :)

I watched the video once a while ago and this is now standard.
I’m glad to hear I’ve changed your preferred method! Definitely the best microwave method in my opinion.
This is the best reheating method ive used in my life, thank you so much
also put a cup of water on the side just in case the paper towel doesn’t work
Cup of water in microwave with lower power works wonders for any kind of bread/pizza dough

Yep. Actually just posted a video of that method. Probably by far my favorite way to do if now.

Can we talk about how good his microwave is? Literally it beeped and when he opened the door it actually stopped!!!! 🥲
My dad got a microwave that does the same thing, and I’ve never been jealous over a microwave before
Don't all microwaves do that ?

this is way smarter than just pouring water over it
It really worked! I thought you was just trying to mess around with us.
Just tried this trick with my left over Pizza Hut pizza and it worked great thanks for the video.
Same lol. With that $7 deal lovers thing they got ive been having one medium pizza for dinner one day and reheating the other medium pizza another day. Worked way better than i expected
Wow!! this did actually work. Before trying it, thought this was just another one of those gimmicks.
i tried this with salad pizza (took off as much off the lettuce and chicken, put the chicken back on while microwaved) put the lettuce on after. really good.
Finish it off on a hot frying pan for about a minutes or less, for a thin crispy bottom crust. Try it!
Do I need to add oil or butter or nothing

I just tried it. The method is awesome
Better than any other microwave methods. Its not as good as fresh obviously but it’s good.
Tried it with Digiorni. The cheese stuck to the towel and it came out even more soggy.
Can you only do this with pepperoni? Because I tried it with cheese and the paper towel stuck to all the cheese and I wasn’t even able to eat the pizza. Massively disappointed
Weird. You must have done it wrong, cheese pizza tasted even better than pepperoni with this method
Why all microwaves must beep?
POV this video was not recommended to you.
Pretty decent thanks my man
What does the paper towel between the plate and pizza do?
I just use it to prevent too much moisture on the underside of the pizza. It tends to happen on a glass plate in the microwave then the crust is a little bit soggy. So the paper towel helps absorb some of the extra moisture
Thank you so much! I got melted cheese crust!
Will this work with spooky pizza?
