This is so artfully done - true to the original, and perfectly capturing the simultaneous whimsy and intensity of the music. And I’ll second the appreciation of the birdsong.
That was pretty much a *perfect* playing of that wonderful piece! Probably I shouldn't say this, but I think this might be even a teensy bit better even than De Grassi himself. 👍
How to say it...the best cover I ever heard for this masterpiece. Really impressive rendering for all the variations. Imagine I went to this video hoping to get explanation how to play it: the best advice were there. Play, train, and play again. Like Modigliani said "Art is work wiped away by work". Thank you so much

Absolutely amazing! Hope this gentleman is doing fine, after all these years!
maheux100, thanks for uploading this revision. And, Pierre Fortin, your graceful expertise with De Grassi's intricate songs is such a joy to hear, and an inspiration to watch!
@CosmicPoop : The tuning is this: I have it capo'd on the 2nd fret: EBCFAE. It is a weird minor chord when played open, but it is definetly the tuning that he's using on this vid.
@CosmicPoop The tuning is EBEF#BE naturally, THEN capo'd up. I have been tinkering with it, and that's what is on his guitatr. It's going to be a very slow process....
Molto buona l'esecuzione. Un brano difficilissimo di de Grassi che hai reso al meglio suonando tutte le note... Un giorno o l'altro finirò di impararlo...l'ultima parte è complicatissima...

Beautifully done! One of my favorite solo guitar pieces ever. You played it brilliantly!
I’ve been coming back to hear this for years. The birds going crazy in the background...perfect.
Me too

Beautiful! Ya nailed it! Birds rock too!
that's amazing.....thank you
and the birds singing are a nice touch :)
I love this song!
Wonderfull !!!
Your precision here in emulating what deGrassi wrote is incredible. Kudos!
Performed very fluidly, authentic to the original.
Bravo!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just beautiful, dynamics and all. You even get the De Grassi "jimmy fingers" going at 2:15.

This is absolutely beautiful. Seeing you play it makes me want to try it myself Great fingerwork on the right hand! Wonderfully done, and thank you.

Nice
Is there anywhere I can buy the music for this version?
