Thank you for a very informative video on dtg vs dye sublimation. The next big thing that everyone who wants to start a business with little to money down should consider is drop shipment (ds). No matter what type of business that you wish to start ds is the way to go. In either business for dtg or dye sublimation you have to front the money for everything which includes the machine, the supplies, the shirts, and so on. The opposite is when you do ds you are paying someone else that has all that to complete all your orders. All your customers will think that you are the one doing all the work when you are not. The customer will receive a high quality item with your company logo on each of the tags on the items you are selling on your free website. After you pay for the service the money you receive in your account is profit. So which business is more profitable dtg, dye sublimation, or drop shipment? The answer is obvious. :)
Thanks for this video
Great details
Thanks a lot
Thanks for dis video.
Very informative & quite in detail compared to other videos on this subject
Thank you for your feedback Nishith :)
Very good video.
Thank you for your support!
You can use Chromablast sublimation ink and paper you can print on cotton and cotton blends and with a white polyvinyl pre-print, you can use sublimation on darks. You really need to stay up to date.
Thank you for your great comment, you are right. However, this video is only to explain the basics of these printing methods, and the practical trivial solution of printing on cotton or polyester
RoccosPlace1: Your comment was informative.....then your jab at the end let your true jerk show through.

This is a great presentation. The only thing I missed was the susceptibilty to failure. Murphy's law tells us that if something can go wrong, it WILL go wrong! Which process is the most reliable?
Thank you for your feedback. regarding your question: Dye Sublimation systems usually need less technical attention.
Great video; very informative; I have a question though I’m launching a very small club wear/sportswear line, making all design and assembling clothes at home myself; Because of a small budget investment and trying to keep desirable low number of items per design, I cannot order customised prints rolls of fabric (100ms minimum). I though about sublimation printing. Would you say the « home » printer machines/inks are the same durability and Colors qualities than the professional machines? As well, I’m working often with sequins « glued » on Lycra, or other very stretch fabrics, also sewn on sequins on stretch. When light or silver sequins are used, may I print on them and will that withstand washing as well than on fabric? I hope you can help; thanks again for the great video
Hi Patrick. We are happy that you liked it. And we do understand how difficult and confusing is to start a business. Please contact us on this webform, and some one will return to you with all the details needed.

for both DTG and Dye Sublimation techniques, is it possible to print unto non-flat surfaces? For instance ribbed, ridged or stepped surfaces.
DTG you are limited, but we had successfully printed on shoes for example. In Dye sublimation, it depends on the heating method, if you use an oven, you may print on non-flat surfaces
What's the recommended minimum cotton percentage when mixed with polyester?
To print using Sublimation? 25%-40% depending on the material
Im still confused on which would be the best for a new star- up of course cost wise sublimation printers are deffinitly less expensive than DTG printers. Knowing this its a no brainer if your a new start- up t-shirt,hoodie,etc. company but which will give a bigger variety of things to expand business. Can you tell me of some affordable printers that I can check into for sublimation and heatpress. THANKS
Dear Brian, it really depends on what markets you want to target. But to answer your question, sublimation can do more variety of items, such as hard surfaces also. But in sublimation, it's a must to have polyester material, or a mix of polyester, or a polymer coated materials only. We can help you the most if you visit us to discuss more, and see our machines working in Texgraff Technology Demo center.
Is it possible to dye sublimation print on stretchable fabric? Like polyester + spandex
Yes, possible.
Dont really know about the DTG pretreating made easy slide because at work we use a spray gun and if you know what you're doing you get a nice coat pretty fast and get shirts out quick whereas ay school we use a pretreat machine that actually takes longer as we have to lay down the shirt onto a palet and ultimately lose time setting it to where it gets coated where we want it to and opening and closing is rather time consuming, yes I know it only takes a few seconds but when you're working trying to make every literal second count it does add up. Just food for thought
Thank you @José for your thoughts. You are right, but for some customers, the pretreatment machine is a faster solution.
Anyway, for complete details on pricing and options, please fill out the contact form at texgraff.com/contact
How much pretreat is needed on the shirt? No one ever explains how much coat is needed.
One important point you failed to mention: DTG vs Dye Sublimation-DTG won't burn your finger tips because there are no hot transfer paper to handle!
Easy solution use mittens
all the details are nice but please insert the details and comparison in pricing *average machine price & printing costs and plus regarding sublimation there's other process to it which need the material to be sew and the sublimation process actually takes longer time to produces into a t-shirt.
Thanks Muthusamy for sharing. You have a point, but it depends on many factors.
If you have any questions, please let us know on attached contact details
DTG canot full printing at full t shirt?
Good question. Depends on size of Tshirt, all-over is tricky, but print and stitch can be done
Vuthana Mear
Can you print on a towel
Yes you can, with both the methods
Er, ...... How about mentioning that a DTG setup is about 10x more expensive than sublimation setup and that DTG machines must be run every day or the heads will clog and repairs are very expensive.
Thank you for your interaction with us. That's not exactly true, at least with us.

@@DaMeshMonster or a virgin
Also, on the minute 3:12 you said "or a blend with cotton" but then on the minute 7:20 you said "sublimation is not ideal for cotton" so, with all due respect, what is it...?
To use sublimation to print on cotton, the cotton percentage shall not exceed 25%-40%. Anyway, The best digital cotton printing method is DTG
