You can use the same technique for galaxy design with pink purple and blue paint, just add a flick of splattered white paint to create constellations and stars, wow that's would be so amazing 😍😍✨

Love it, I suggest smearing Vaseline on the exposed rubber, maybe that would stop the colors.

Galaxy shoes sounds fantastic! I found something really interesting that maybe you can make a tutorial on (you can do it in your own way, but I just said how I did it): you can get some cardstock paper (or watercolor paper, whichever you think works best), next get some markers, I used the galaxy colors (you know, purple, pink, blue and black), now start applying them to the paper, I started with black then purple, get some tissue paper and soak it in water, start blending the colors with the wet tissue paper. Continue that until you're done, you can use glitter glue for stars

If they don't stay on your feet without laces, you could use rainbow loom rubber bands to make a stretchy band to loop through the holes, so they stretch to let you put your shoe on but kind of keep the sides together.
I just made some of these for our neighbors little girl! She loves tie dye! They turned out GREAT! I got the marker runs off with patients, qtips, and fingernail polish remover! But I will add I was super careful when adding alcohol!

There are colored laces on the market so if I decide to do a pair of tie dyed sneaks, I would put in colored laces; they would look just so cool
this idea with the sharpies has always been my favorite!! its like tie dye but not tie dye if that makes sense lol

You can remove the sharpie on the rubber with a dry erase Marker or tooth paste

Sarah Johnson You can get them at Walmart for about 5 dollars or so. $5 is Alaska price. We typically pay more than the lower 48.
Sarah Johnson you could probably get these shoes at a sort of places ,if you check thrift stores they have them for very cheap, i got heels from a thrift store for 4.50$

Saw this on Pinterest, I'm sure the steps in the picture were from this video! I obviously needed to watch a UA-cam video of how to do it because knowing me, I would do all of the steps wrong! I would really like to know if these shoes stain your feet or socks. And I wonder why you didn't just sharpie dye the laces.
They don't, as long as you let them dry for a while. And you can also sharpie tie dye the laces, but it will be time consuming.
Mine stain my feet and socks every time it rains a lot or I step in a puddle. I've had mine done for a year to a year and a half and it doesn't bleed as much now.
can you set the color in the dryer? or with vinegar?

Another great use for rubbing alcohol or the more gel formula one is that you can clean the soles of shoes with it! I had a pair where the glue they used when making the shoes had gone on to the sides of the sole etc and I just took some rubbing alcohol and started cleaning them and it came off and the shoes look much better now! :)
So you probably could have used the rubbing alcohol on a piece of fabric or something to get the marker paint off of the soles. (Instead of using a sandpaper) :p
Can you make a video of this but then only the bottom part thing, that you have white shoes with cool accents of you know what i mean! (idk how it just would be very cool)
Wouldn't any normal marker work as a sharpie?? please reply, I want to do this too..
+himani verma Any brand of permanent marker will work. If you use a water-based marker, such as Crayola, it will just wash off after awhile.

You can use acetone (nail polish remover) to get the sharpie off the rubber part at the bottom of the shoe. It may not come off completely and go back to being white but it will get it off pretty well!

For the rubber parts of the shoe try nail polish remover it is really good at taking sharpies off!

These look great. I've always cleaned my converse shoes with nail polish remover, so that might work if you want the bled color off the rubber part of the shoe

you could either tiedye the laces... or use the elastic laces, they come in wild colours.. or use thin leather ties as the laces,,,, would look super cute...

you can cover the rubber part of shoes with masking tape and to fit better with out lace you can try to put in rubber heel stick on you might have to glee gun them in if you wish this idea might help lov,lov,lov the idea

I love the watercolour effect
I would recommend using some sort of topcoat. I usually use a matte varnish. If you don't do that, the excess colour will bleed if they get wet
I'm doing this with cotton candy colors for me and my best friend and I'm soooooooooo exited to try this
To clean the rubber part, nail polish remover (acetone) is perfect. It leaves it spotless.

I love the shoes. I want to try this but I have not yet found plain white canvas shoes. Hope I find some. P.s. try to dye the laces to match your shoes, more comfortable and they would probably blend right in. Thanks for the inspiration.
I just bought white shoes at the dollar store to decorate them purple (my fav color) because I have a purple wind breaker sweater and I want to have matching shoes with it. Thank you for this vid tho. It helped a lot:)💜💜

To remove sharpies stains in general you can use nail polish remover I use it when it comes on my hand or on my desk and it works extremely well. Maybe you could try it.

If you want to do this it is best that you color the shoe from the inside, I learned. I tried this for a pin and I realized that the inside of the shoe looked better than the outside so I started to color the inside and now my shoes are gonna be rockin

if you hadn't found something to hold them on without laces, or for people who want to make them the same way, you could probably sew them. just run a line of stitches along the edge of where you lace them. or some contact cement? I glued the sole back on my shoe with it. if you got clothes pins you could slap sine glue on and clip it down?
