    Hi David, very helpful video. When you say all three record on HD, you explain why you haven't looked at those who use above HD. I've been comparing sound and video quality and I didn't know any did! Could you say who does? Many thanks.

    I prefer to use zoom, because it is easy to use.
    For security, as long as you as a host understand how to use it, for example using waiting room mode and so on, so far I have been safe.
    My experience using webex for online teaching, for low cellular signals, the video image is often broken and there is a lag in the voice.
    Use zoom, everything is smooth.

However Microsoft teams has the capability to be on cross platform and they are improving it for a big release in windows 11 I am on the inside of program so it’s also something that you can consider.

      Yes, that is so. Cisco is doing this to help the community during this the COVID-19 . Free users can have an unlimited number of meetings per month, up to 24 hours with 100 participants each. The free version is very, very good for most users. The more advanced features like live streaming Meetings to social media, network based recordings, and custom URLs are still for paying customers.

    • @DDibert
      @DDibert 4 роки тому +1

      @@rakshitraj957 Yes, the free time limit changed since my comment was made. As of July 1st, free users can now go up to 50 minutes which is 10 minutes longer than another service offers. BTW, There are some nice features added since then too such as blurred backgrounds, self-view of the shared screen (No more... Can everyone see my screen?), and more. Some mobile enhancements were made too. For example, for schools/teaching, mobile/ipad can now share the screen w/ audio which is great for playing videos. Everyone enjoy!

      Microsoft doesn’t have E2E encryption for calling, messaging, conferencing. Zoom does not, but Is drafting a white paper for E2EE support for conferencing, with beta in July. Webex supports E2EE via custom session type (enterprise plan required), and Webex Teams does support E2EE for messaging, file sharing, and white boarding . And it’s free btw.

    Great info, thanks for putting this together. Two things, Webex has upgraded their free plan tremendously, probably due to competition with Zoom. The second thing is this... I'm working with a tech from our local University that is stuck in the Skype Zone. All fine and dandy but that architecture really sucks in comparison to the newer tools. He's also using Xsplit (for some reason) OBS beats it hands down IMO. So this is my question. Are you aware of a solid functional way, someone who's on Zoom can video conference into a Skype conference? Or on the other hand, how someone on Skype can conference into a Zoom conference. I've found a couple of things but have not had time to test them and I'm just looking to see what you might have learned. Again, enjoyed listening to this and I'll look forward to hearing your thoughts!

      Hi James,
      Cross platform communication is not the most ideal way to use any of these programs. Each one is trying to keep you local to their platform.
      My suggestion would be to convert everyone to teams. From an administration point of view it provides more flexibility and resources to do your job and manage your team properly.

    You are wrong about Skype. Anyone can join with the link on a browser without an account. I just share a link, and people click it and join. You only need an account for hosting a meeting, which is the same with Zoom. Skype and Teams are both available on every platform and in a browser. The nice thing about Zoom is the only thing you can do is a video call...that's the only reason it is more simple....because it lacks the chat features of Skype.
