- Students at Alpha School have NO academic teachers.
Instead, they have guides who act like athletic coaches, challenging students and providing motivational and emotional support to help them find their ‘why.’
The primary role of a guide is to know each student personally, facilitate life skills, and engage them in collaborative, hands-on projects.
So, how do students learn their academics without teachers?
They follow a program called 2 Hour Accelerated Learning, completing core subjects in just two hours daily through AI tutors and apps. These tools diagnose where a child might be struggling or excelling, allowing for mastery and accelerated growth. As a result, students grasp material 2.5 times faster 🤯
With four additional hours freed up each day, students can dive deep into workshops, exploring real-world skills and their passions 🫶🤸🏽
Alpha School has a campus in:
Austin, Texas
Brownsville, Texas
Miami, Florida PK-8 opening this fall ‼️
Factoring into that 2 hour learning window is the fact there are no kids with behavioral issues, no kids with family issues, no kids who are chronically late or absent, no special or high needs kids, no kids at the poverty level or on government assistance.
These schools work for ultra rich kids...cause it does not matter for them what to learn as they are already rich in life, no stress for earning
True that!
I'm a homeschooler father, but i watch this and i can reconsider my child education.
This is incredible, thank you for sharing. How can we build these in Los Angeles!? Are there resources that can have data on benefits/successes for the kids who attend this school (and others like it)? Or, rather, how do we determine if these methods are better than traditional?
The issue is not teachers. This school has teachers they just changed their title to guide. These students have structure guided by adults. Part of the role of a great teacher is to guide their students and give them the space to learn. title to this video is very misleading. The real issue is the current “limited” structure and some of the policies of schools (public or private). Even if parents are homeschooling their own child, it’s the structure that is provided and the policies (expectations) that are implemented. If the perspective was shifted from traditional public school structure and traditional teacher roles” this wouldn’t give teachers a negative connotation.
Would love to see how the learning is when the power goes out.
Given that everything in traditional schools is on a Chromebook, Google Slide, or ClassroomScreen, etc... Probably the same amount of learning that would happen here.
These kids all come from decent families that encourage respectful behavior. Critical part to any education. Still, really cool concept. Looking forward to post-graduation reviews of these kids
So the people who teach them math are called guides, coaches, and UA-camrs, but not teachers.
Edit: I’m curious if their guides and/or coaches are required to hold a teaching license.
Whare is this at?
So this is how we lose the future. Google "how expensive are Waldorf schools"?
Wow, this is going to get a lot of push back from teacher Unions. I invision this staying private but hopefully they're collecting enough data to really convince everyone. I hope they succeed.
For $50,000.00... very accessible . LOL~
I wish to be a kid today.....
All the videos I see about AI education use the same propaganda 2x speed, that's too AD
❤️🌹🎄🦚
For the rich and DEI!😂
