Best ensemble cast in a long time. This guy is great, though. I looked forward to every Bob scene. I'd want a whole series about him, but it probably works better in doses. I do wish they'd do a sequel to The Offer though.
Bob Evans was such a larger than life icon. I remember seeing the documentary The Kid Stays In The Picture and aside from being mesmerised I was a bit sceptical that this walking stereotype of a flash Hollywood studio mogul was actually real. Great performance in the Offer, the voice, the slick charm, the style, loved it.
I haven’t seen the show yet but when he was super drunk at the club I knew he was going to throw this glass. Those last scenes were funny and sad b/c he really went off the deep end. I felt bad for him.
1:37 THIS. This is what makes great companies. Leaders like Bob mofuggin' Evans. As someone who did the corpo thing for a while, you get real sick of your superiors not putting their money where their mouth is. SIck of bosses who cut out when things get tough. But not Bob. He's ready to run right into the fire for his ass, and everyone else's ass. That's grade-A leadership right there. That's a man you can follow to Hell and back, and that's why Paramount used to be a killer studio.
Cannot believe Ali Mccraw cheated on Evans with McQueen …I mean it’s believable in that world but wow apparently it was a huge breakup at the time …oh to be alive then😳❣️
Yeah, Coppola never wanted him for that part. But it was a compromise to let Coppola use Pacino as Michael, ultimately. The studio didn't think they could sell the movie without at least one established star in it.
@@crazyralph6386 He was literally the least Italian human being on the planet; it never made any sense. Caan played the role beautifully, of course because he's a great actor - but it never made any sense, physically.
@@redadamearth Really odd, though, how _The Offer_ miniseries omits how Coppola literally just directed Caan and Robert Duvall in 1969’s _The Rain People._
I can only imagine Bob Iger, Kathleen Kennedy and Kevin Feige’s faces when they see a Star Wars, Marvel or Disney movie that’s not woke and made a lot of money than the other woke movies! They’d be super pissed off!!!! And that’s good!
what's your damage with "woke?" What does woke have anything to do with Bob Evans? Are you angry because you can't roll around using the N-word like you used to?
I never ever said the N-word and I’m white. You know how people were excited for sequels but they’re sick and tired of it because they keep getting bad and stale and are not as exciting as the classics?
His performance as Evans made that entire series. It wasn't just an impression; it was an embodiment. And he played the entire arc beautifully.
goode's screen presence is electric. bob would've been proud

This guy was born for this role. He is amazing!
Matthew goode is fucking brilliant! Wow what an impression
Would you expect anything less from Ozymandias?
“You’re fucking the blob!”😂😂😂😂😂
It’s one thing to do a great impression, but it’s a whole other level to be able to emote through that impression and make it a real person.
"WELL THEN YOU FUCKIN UNSET HIM" God his voice, the tone, its hilarious 😂😂😂
I'm still surprised how Matthew didn't get Oscar for this role ?
Because Oscars are for movies and this isn't one.
He should have won an emmy
This whole series was snubbed by the Emmy’s

Goode was simply awesome as Evans and one of my favorite parts of the show!
Wow, that’s a great Robert Evans.
Paramount was never the same after he left
He was the best part of the series, I really only finished it to make sure I didn’t miss any scenes with him
Matthew Goode was phenomenal in this series his performance stole the series
Then you effffin unsaid it😬😂 ok bubbe!!
Gret job actor who did Evans
What a great series!
.. this show has to come back !!!!!!
I know, they could do another series on the making of Godfather 2 because there was just as much behind the scenes drama there
Bob was awsome in this series loved his character in this series

I'm a bad guru!! hahaha
Holy shit he's doing all this while running a restaurant chain in Ohio?
Esta serie es una obra maestra.
Goode stole the show with a brilliant performance.

Caan was always a distraction for me, he never looked like a family member.
Haha true! Caan was the most un-Italian looking of the Corleones but his acting was brilliant ! He owned that role
@@PeirithousI couldn’t imagine anyone else playing Sonny? He was brilliant

I loved the series! Because of Goode lol
