Alot of women with natural hair 4c get teased, hell in certain states the SupremeCourt ruled you can be fired for it. Other textures are more so accepted.
I've been a hairstylist for 28 years and never had a woman talk about another woman wearing her own hair. If anything it starts a conversation with the two women on hair care and how each other take care of their hair at home.

I never understood the concept of wearing weaves everyday. Here in Uganda, women are so natural, no make up and when I explain to most of them that black girls out there are bleaching and putting all those makeups, they get really confused. Vast majority don’t care. They’re happy how they are. Many times we find it strange this is subject for discussion. I’ve never seen a debate about this over here. Strange indeed. Wearing a wig, eyelashes, or nails does not determine the type of man you get, how you wear your wigs, eyelashes, nails ,the content of character and integrity as a woman will. My wigs are very natural. My nails look very natural and I prefer soft, subtle colors. My eyelashes look very natural. I am very classy, I am very beautiful on the inside and the outside. now, I am not into the wild and crazy colors, bat wing lashes or anything like. That’s not my style, but I am not going to pass judgment on those who choose to wear things like that. I have been with my husband almost 20 years and loves every part of me. I’m a lady at all times with or without a wig. It is so easy for us to say, do something about your hair loss, but there are extenuating circumstances in which you either cannot grow hair, or it maybe some type of terminal illness. Some things are not in your control. I do accept the quality of man I have because he is a high value man. A lot of it has to do with how you carry yourself as a woman. Many men who are very successful approach me on a regular, I smile, and politely let them know I’m married.

Some women @ work are mean spirited some family members too. I'm staying natural, so liberating. I do wear cute scarves, headbands, barrettes, clips. I use semi permanent color no dye or bleach. I have traction alopecia.

This is preposterous to say the least. I wore my natural hair for years until I started having issues with my hair due to tight braids, ponytails and other health reasons. That’s when I started wearing wigs and I do not remember anyone teasing or harassing me about why I wore my natural hair. However, when I started wearing wigs, I got judged a lot. Often , I find the natural wearers much more judgemental than the wig wearers. A bit like those who don’t wear makeup always trying to shame those who wear makeup as ugly and insecure without their wigs and makeup. We can’t all be expected to look the same. It’s about personal choices and preferences. Do what works for you and makes u happy unapologetically. If someone doesn’t like it, it’s on them not on u. Some men are the worst critics. This is the funniest shii I’ve heard all day. As a black woman that has been natural for over 10 years and might I mention has very thick long natural hair…I’ve received 99% compliments and admiration about my hair. People LOVE natural hair. They are fascinated by it! However, you have the media and selects groups who consider this unattractive.
The REAL reason why some women wear wigs and eyelashes and might as well add BBLS is because they’re trying to keep up with society’s beauty standard that stems from the sexual objectification of woman that keeps evolving daily . People are conditioned to think that the natural state of a woman is not sexy or glamorous but merely bland and unattractive. Which is not true. But you have social media, tv shows, movies, etc. that constantly shove this in our face on the daily. This can pertain to all ethnic groups but since we’re talking about natural hair then BW.
So don’t blame women for other women not accepting the natural sistas. We accept it. They don’t 💁🏽♀️👨🏻💼👩🏼💼

I don't wear weaves, wigs coz I'm broke and I don't have the time to maintain them.. If I did have the money, I would try one.. I don't hate on a woman who wears weaves, etc coz it's what makes her comfortable or whatever. Plus also men do wear weaves, why can't you speak on that.. Lol.. I don't really like shaming other people on how they choose to live, love be.. they have their reasons and I respect that..

Women who wear wigs don't love themselves enough to know how to appreciate their natural looks, the minute I start learning more about myself,I change I stop wearing fake stuff. I stop bleaching my skin no lashes no fake nails no nail polish, I find myself, I was lost in the system of manipulation,ppl making me feel that I wasn't beautiful because I in my natural self. Why do people think natural hair mean like an afro lol?? I had 3 real relationships in my life. All black women with long hair. Most women who wear wigs are just lazy. Take the extra 30 mins in the morning and do your hair lol. This is wild we even got to this point.

When I met her, she wore perms and braids a lot. Over time she started to go natural because I have locs. She wore a wig one time to a Family Reunion at the beginning of her loc journey because she knew they’d be critical. Even with the wig, they had something to say. She never wore another wig again. That was almost 15 years ago and now she has the longest and healthiest natural hair of any woman she knows.
As politely as I can be I do not give a Ham wat other woman think I wear my own hair and sometimes I wear my braids but honey I’m me allday and what u see is wat u get I could care less that is too much work to be catfishing ppl 😂

I know a lot of women who wear wigs. And this is not the reason😂😂😂😂😂Its a great way to change their look up and a form of protective styling. In fact I'm interested in obtaining some wigs because I have curly hair that's hard to style and manage.

it's actually men...of all races but specifically blk men. as a blk girl who has been natural my whole life, i have never seen or encountered a blk women who has hated on me or another girls natural hair. but on multiple occasions i have had negative comments made abt my hair by men but majority black men, idk where this made up conversation of women who wear wigs doing this that and the other, but all i know is as a man u don't know the conversations women have😭😭 pls talk abt yourself and your own peers cuz it is usually (not all the time) y'all putting down another blk woman🚶🏾♀️

But what if you do both? I would say my natural hair is out 8 months out of the year (winter time I wear wigs and one month out the summer I get box braids). Me appreciating someone’s natural hair doesn’t change if I have a wig in my head

But I’m pretty sure to this dude & a lot of men “natural hair” is still straightened hair, just without extensions- not a lot of men prefer women with kinky/coils.
I wear my natural hair and I wear half wigs but I can admit that I do get a lot of compliments when I am wearing my natural hair either if it’s down or even in a ponytail, they even tell me how your ponytail looks nice❤

I had 3 wigs and all were human hair. Two had bands on them. My hair was breaking from hormonal issues that's why I wore them. When I got my hair issues straightened out I stopped because when I looked in the mirror it just didn't look right to me anymore. So I figured the season was over for wigs for me. I even tried to buy some wigs last year to have a different look, ha it lasted one week. I gave them all to my sister.😂 I've been natural now since 2015. What he is saying right here is just stupid though.

I have been wearing wig for a while after working so many hour at work you’re tired as Hell for me it’s easier to take off my wig when I get home take care of myself and home get some rest when it’s time for work I put on my wig and off I go to work I have a head full of hair I teased no one it’s their choice as to attract a man fuck that I am doing for me and not a man I am talking care of me I like my own money I hate to wait on a man for a nickel and dime it’s best to have your own
You're absolutely right and I've been saying that, if you're a black man who likes black women you don't have a choice but to date a woman with a wig. It's an epidemic, you're hard pressed to find a black woman with her natural hair.
As a grown woman who has been natural since 2009; I cannot say I was ever teased by “wig” wearers. I used to get a lot of adoration from women who were not natural. This may be true for young girls and teens.
The women I know where their natural hair and they look beautiful .
