Miss Blessing, I started watching your videos about 2 months ago. I found you and your videos after my family took a DNA test and found we had a 100% match to Yoruba people on my father's side. Please do not stop! With your help, I'm learning the language that was taken from my family during slavery. You clearly have a passion for what you are doing, and you can help make a difference in peoples lives. Keep going, we love you!!!!!
Thank you so mucj for your kind words! I will definitely continue, I'm so glad you're learning the language.
When you speak Yoruba, it sounds beautiful. And you look even more beautiful when you speak Yoruba than when you speak English.

How Exciting!!
Thank you so much for this. I can only imagine how much effort went into adding subtitles thank you
What matters is you’ve stayed consistent. Breaks are needed so that energy can be regained. You’ve done an amazing job and the website idea is a great idea and hustle💯💯💪🏾🖤. I can’t wait till you have it completed!💖💖. And if you have any questions on building websites I can send you really good resources and ppl that I have learned from on website building and linking.
Thank you so so much! I would really appreciate the resources on website building, it's been such a tedious process for me cause I am really not tech savvy haha.
Thank you for your support! xxx
Appreciate this!
Awesome!!
I think diversification is the right path to go. You're doing a wonderful job.

Ese gan o!
Very nice Blessing! I am delighted that you are taking your niche to the next level.
You are doing very well promoting our language and heritage. You are number 1 on UA-cam for Yoruba lessons.
The website will certainly turn out great as people will be able to purchase courses. Wishing you the very best!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate this
Your videos are great! Keeping an eye out for the scarves, I really liked the ones on this video 💜
I think make more videos with other people as I noticed your videos with mum and dad have more views.
Anyway I enjoy your content as it is.
I just made a suggestion because you asked.
I look forward to your learning resources and using them to teach my son and myself yoruba.
Please translate “As e dey go” by Naira Marley.
Thank you so much!!!
I've tried bringing people back but they're all really aversed to it lol, I've been trying to convince them for ages. But hopefully maybe some friends.
Will make it my next translating video!
Blessing, I hope you are able to travel to Nigeria soon and you are happy there. I visited in 2016 with my husbands family and loved it. A good idea for you, childrens books to learn about Yoruba. My husband is Yoruba (I'm White Manx) and I searched for childrens books last year but struggled. I have 'A fun ABC' by Sade Fadipe and Shedrach Ayalomeh which is wonderful, but I need more! The culture is so rich and it's a shame we don't have more books to read / show our children. Good to see you posting videos again. I look forward to your website ❤
Thank you so much for the suggestion!!! I definitely agree with you. There are so many gaps in the market for this
Ese pupo fun video 😂 LOOOL I tried. Love this video 🔥🔥 just repeating everything you are saying haha. YOU ARE AMAZING 💙
Haha you did well!! xxx
@@DiamanteBox Thank you 💙💙
4:25 there are certain half-English phrases that have become so thouroughly embedded in Yoruba that you hear them all the time, that "ma worry" is a prime example. Another English word I hear all the time (even if people are speaking 99.9% pure Yoruba) is "so" (and just as I was typing this you proved my point, lol 4:33)
😂😂😂😂 100%
Aaaaaa 😊 Thnk
Could you talk about different yoruba accents/dialects? I know it may be difficult to include audio of the different ones, but would you be able to bried=fly talk about them?
I don't know enough about the different dialects to do a meaningul video on them, neither do I know why they pronounce things the way they do.
@@DiamanteBox Thanks for your response!! Idk why it got me gassed😩🥺😭 Ko si wahala. How about a video about Lagos slang?
We have a website, please visit www.yorubalessons.com where you can take independent courses, purchase study materials, flashcards and Yoruba related items.
U enjoy learning yoruba
I
May I ask where you learned Yoruba? I'm African American and learned that most of my ancestry is Nigerian (Yoruba) and Cameroon. I wanted to learn Yoruba, Swahili, and French. (I love the sound of Yoruba. It sounds so fun and happy). There aren't many resources I can find on deep grammar. Thank you. :D
Try watching a lot of yoruba movies with subtitles and combine that with classes. You will learn in a year. You have to immerse yourself daily. My yoruba friend learned Spanish this way by watching telumundo almost all day every day. Now she is a High School Spanish teacher
If you're looking for grammar etc. google FSI Yoruba, they have some free courses developed in the sixties, a bit outdated but very in depth on the language.
I didn’t learn intentionally. I just spoke it back to my parents and I learnt it
Is there a way to learn Yoruba through song? Like are there translated lyrics for popular songs?
I have a translating afrobeafs playlist on my channel. I’m not sure if it’s a complete way to learn though cause it’s mostly slang etc
I am just suggesting, tio ba lo 9ja se eto lori Yoruba movies kio fun wa ni updates botinse affect media. Oluwa ma fun e se
Ami oo
