I connected a 2000W inverter to connect to a 48v battery and experienced a large spark. What size/type resistor should I purchase to prevent the spark? Thanks in advance.
12v automotive light bulb works just as well and you can visually see when the inverter capacitors are charged when the bulb ceases to glow. the battery units with switches don't prevent inrush current going to the inverter which is what can damage the BMS or inverter so it's still advised to precharge the inverter capacitors
Is there a good one at ebay? Amazon is not so good in Sweden. Does the same resistor work when connecting solar cables? Thank you for good video!

Do i need a fuse or a circuit breaker in between the battery and the inverter?
inverters have built in fuses but it's always best to have an appropriately rated fuse right at the battery before the wires
Could you also use a battery disconnect to prevent a spark?

@@drewe9514 depends on the battery. Many batteries have internal electronics to provide battery status information, etc. Even though your device is not hooked up to the battery a complete circuit is being made with the battery's internal electronics and it still sparks...
How many Ohms the Resistor ?
30 Ohms, 25W wirewound resistors.
ShopSolar doesn't include this advice and a cheap resistor in their "complete kit" which includes SOK batteries so customers experience the spark before finding this video.
This is extremely misleading. You need to specify that it needs to be a certain type of resistor for this to work.
