People can say what they want but your roller sets be having the hair look straighter than those who get their hair blow dried. The hair be looking silk pressed and curled before it actually gets silk pressed and curled or not depending on if the clients want it curled. Forget the naysayers you know what you're doing and it shows.

Rollersetting is a healthier way to stretch and smooth out the hair than using a blow dryer. It also keeps the hair WAY more moisturized. It eliminates the damaging heat of the blowdryer while doing a much better job of stretching the hair. After watching Eden’s videos, I bought some hourglass rollers and my retention had never been better. Thank you for sharing this technique Eden!

you introduced me to this way of at home styling years ago...I have tried a number of things over the years in an attempt to be able to wear my hair straight and not loosen my curl pattern. Also, being able to wear my hair straight and it last through workouts and sweating without reverting...there is def a learning curve but YOU ARE IT! THIS IS IT! Thank you for educating us.

Soooo pretty! I grew up with my grandma roller setting my hair ( my mom old skool hot combed my two youngest sister's hair; they both had very long super thick ( density & the actual strands lol) coarser textured hair, but my mother never did mine because she said i didn't have the right kind of hair to handle the heat of the comb. I snuck once when she wasn't near by and grabbed the comb and ran it through a bit of my hair...it literally melted like synthetic doll hair 🤦♀️😭
For years I wished I could have my hair straight or just anything other than the finger twirled Shirley temple curl ponytails, reg pony tails, and French braids my mom did on me...finally my grandma had taught me about roller setting when I was about 15 and what a life changer!💞❤ I still usually just leave my wavy/curly hair as it is but when I want to stretch my hair I roller set. Then wear in a loose bun for a day or so and then end up with nice big waves
If the client is ok with the extra time spent on their hair tell the haters to get to stepping. The convenience of the hair dryer is not worth losing your hair to broken ends if not hair coming out in clumps. 👍You're doing a great job.

I like the rollers too, actually would have stopped there it looked so good. But people aren’t haters when they don’t see the benefit of rollers. Your threshold for “hate” is so low, live and let live. It’s just an opinion, have some tolerance.
I love volume and body, that rollerset was absolutely gorgeous. That would've been my style right there, you did a beautiful job.
I really admire your ethic, the fact that you are doing what is best suited for the health of the hair, i would much rather have a stylist who will advise me on the best treatment for the hair than someone who just do things irrespective of damage. I enjoy watching your videos

Lady Eden i grew up in Puerto Rico land of my parents but i still consider it my home, Rollers for us in the Island for hair dressing is like culture for us we sleep, clean the House, go shopping with them we even have an old saying BRUSH YOUR HAIR OR WEAR ROLLERS 😂. I enjoy your videos i am planning i hope to visit your hair salon in the near future God willing keep those videos coming.
When I had relaxed hair, I only ever rollerset my hair without any extra heat afterwards. I have been natural for many years, most of my life and I have returned to doing roller sets and but with the addition of the the flat iron. It’s definitely to most gentle way of getting my hair natural hair straight.
The end result was beautufull but i really wish she would feel that happy and comfortable with her texture cause its even more beautiful atleast in my eyes it is.I love my curls.She has great hair!healthy and enough hair for 3 heads .I wish mine was a tad bit fuller

Yeah you right. The roller set is the way to go when drying your hair. I think a lot of breakage happens during the blow drying process.

How long do u let the hair sit in rollers for?
I think where a lot of people went wrong back in the day was NOT roller setting relaxed and natural hair as well. Blow drying can cause a lot of excess drying of the hair sometimes, when used too often. Some are concerned about time and not the health of the hair and some want that extra sleek Caucasian look that I personally do not prefer. Black hair has body and life idk why people like straying away from that. I hate my hair stuck to my scalp feel and look. But a lot of people in the Caribbean till this day still do roller sets and their hair thrive.
Anyone who questions the roller set does not know hair.
Totally agree with you I'm from wales in i have exactly the same hair texture i find that roller are so much better for my hair then straighteners it feels so much better and lasts longer can i ask what straighteners you are using please 😀
Teresa I also have same texture and I like the Tymo straightening (Amazon) comb easier to use than a flat iron for me when I do my own hair. Can use after a roller set or sometimes I just let my hair air dry then straighten if I'm being lazy 😄 & dont feel like roller setting.
