- Hello everybody! In today's video I decided to introduce some ways you can become fluent in Japanese language in 2024. Are you wondering how to learn Japanese in 2024? Since it's the new year, many of you might be looking to improve your Japanese skills, so hopefully these tips will help you out! What are your Japanese goals for this 2024 year? In this video I share my Japanese self study routine and tips for you to improve your Japanese as well!

I'm here to tell you that listening really does help with your accent. I started listening to anime and Japanese music more than a decade ago and every Japanese person I speak with tells me my accent is really good, and my Japanese teacher recently asked me how it got so good lol. I never knew it would have an impact. So listen every chance you get!

So true~ The more you listen, the better your accent becomes. Imitating native Japanese people's accent makes a HUGE difference 💕

I've been into anime for 15 years, Japanese music for about 10 years, and light novels and manga for about 10 years. I have seen some really bad fan translations and fan subs in those years, so I decided that this is going to be the year that I finally stop being lazy and start learning. My goal for the year is just to create a consitant study routine. Hopefully I can create a good routine and get to at least N5 from nothing by the end of the year. I just started learning Kana this week, so it seems impossible right now, but I can be a quick learner if i enjoy something.
My japenese goal for this year is to be able to write and read kana freely and also i want to improve my grammar skills

Wow, thanks for the drama recommendations!! I haven't watched many Japaneses dramas as I prefer to watch Korean dramas! Is Roppongi class the Japanese version of Itaewon class?
My Japanese goal in 2024 is to make some Japanese friends (because i have no friends irl and i'm an introvert). I hope that i can improve in 3 months so i can kinda start to understand this easy manga that i found today.

You can definitely make some Japanese friends if you use a language exchange app! I made friends on apps years ago that I met in real life after I moved to Japan!
I'm learning Japanese because i live in Japan, but i was living in Brazil for 13 years!! And i need to learn to help my mom with some stuffs because she doesn't know Japanese too (actually she knows the basic).
I'm working hard on this because i really love here

i want to be able to have conversations and speak my thoughts without using sentences ive already learned.
That's a great goal! I think it will be helpful to learn a lot of vocab so you can speak more fluently and without thinking too hard~
