Ok, I know that everyone is scared and freaking out in the comments, but can we just take a second to admire her computer screen in the background?? It changes colors!! Am I the only one that couldn't stop looking at it??
She cares about them but there are many many many more that care about their fans. While there are tons of people who don't, there are also tons of people who do and Colleen just happens to be 1 of the many that do care
Colleen you were probably having a WILD (wake induced lucid dream) it's where u are lucid dreaming, but many people experience a feeling of pressure on their chests and seeing a shadowy figure. Also this causes sleep paralysis which is where you wake up but can't move
This is sleep paralysis all the things you said described it. Not being able to move, seeing things, feeling things and trying to speak but nothing happens. Sleep paralysis can be very real but when someone wakes you up everything stops. Sleep paralysis is when your mind has woken up but your body has not. With you not being able to move, your mind starts thinking of things your terrified of, making them a reality. Sleep paralysis is in some cases scary and others completely fine. Sleep paralysis is normal so you have nothing to worry about.
I had sleep paralysis once luckily it wasn’t to scary but it was about the thing that I was scared of the most and my experience with sleep paralysis was that I didn’t feel like I couldn’t move but I didn’t move if you know what I mean like I didn’t feel like I was paralyzed or couldn’t move I just didn’t move.
Why do we all see the same dark figure during sleep paralysis? I’ve always been interested in learning more about this. My sleep paralysis makes me have audio hallucinations as I fall asleep. I have exploding head syndrome too 🤦♀️
ok, ok. I know everyone already knows this.... but that was indeed sleep paralysis. But don't say "its just sleep paralysis she's fine" if you've ever had it, you know the scarring that can come from it. Sleep Paralysis is basically where a part of your brain is still in sleep mode, the part of the brain that makes you move, so you are physically sleeping, but emotionally and mentally awake. All your senses still work, but you can't react to anything. Hallucinations start to occur, but in most cases, they are demon like, shadowy figures. No one knows why they are usually always shadowy, demon like figures. Maybe they are actual demons in our brain. :o
It was sleep paralysis, there are two kinds, one where youre fine, no dark shadows, no pressure, youre just confused and paralized. The other is terrifying and it literally just feeds the fear section of your brain. It makes you see dark figures, sometimes people see them sitting on their chest, because they feel the pressure of 'it'. I know it seems so real, but if this ever happens again, just focus on closing your eyes, blocking it all out, and start trying to move your limbs starting with your feet/hands, then calves/lower arms, thighs/biceps, etc. Usually once you get to your calves/lower arms you'll snap out of it. I've had it happen before, it's terrifying, I know :(
This has happened to me alot of times where I'm awake I can't move I can't talk but my eyes are wide open and tears are just pouring down my face cuz I'm just so terrified sometimes it happens when I'm sleeping in my side and it feels like someone's behind me but I can't move oh it's just the most horrible thing
You're right and that does happen to a lot of people but in different situations. But I think what happened to Colleen was more of a demonic attack especially since it wast at around 3 o clock in the morning and you never know what might of been in that cottage. Who knows maybe someone did some type of other worldly ritual there. But that's just my opinion :)
I remember watching this years ago and being shook. Then this year in AP psych we learned about sleep paralysis and this is basically all of the symptoms
That's freakin horrifying! I'm going to have nightmares now, lol. Actually, I remember that a couple years ago, I was staying at my mom's apartment and I tried going to bed around 3:00 AM and (prepare for a long story) I don't remember closing my eyes so I thought I was awake the whole time. My bed was facing a window that had blinds, and I'm guessing a car went through the parking lot with it's bright lights on, and they were on for a long time. Suddenly the lights, to me, seemed to get brighter, and suddenly it sounded like a chainsaw was going off by my ear, it was so freakin loud. I tried to cover my ears, but I couldn't move anything. I was paralyzed, and I felt sweat and tears coming out of my eyes. I looked in the corner of my room and I saw a small shadow in the corner just standing there staring at me, and my heart was racing! I tried moving so bad, but I couldn't. Then, I tried to open my mouth and scream for my mom, but nothing came out, and afterwards my mouth wouldn't close. I looked back in the corner of my room, and instead of one shadow, I saw probably 5 more shadows. I felt my mouth beginning to stretch as if something was trying to pull my mouth apartment, and I began to feel my body rise from my bed. At this point, it felt like something was forcing my eyes closed, but I was afraid to close them bc I felt that if I did I was never going to open my eyes ever again. But eventually all my tears blinded my eyes, and in one blink it felt like my body fell on my bed, and everything got quiet and dark. Everything was normal, but I was so f*cking terrified at that point bc I did not remember going to sleep, and I was debating in my head on wtf just happened, lol. I laid in my bed frozen for about 3 minutes before I looked at my phone and it said 3:20 AM. I was all sweaty, and I still had tears pouring out, and idk if I was crying or if they were just coming out just because. But anyways, that was probably one of the scariest nights I ever had. But listening to your story Colleen, that scares me, because I do believe in God, Satan, Angels, and Demons (stuff like that) and I also watch the TV Show Supernatural lol, and they talk about Demons leaving tracks like Sulfur behind. Even though it may or may bot have been sleep paralysis, I still won't put my beliefs aside (sorry if people think I'm crazy or stupid but deal with it). Holy crap, I just looked at my comment and saw how long it is, haha.
Sleep paralysis isn't just not being able to move. Essentially you are awake, but your brain is still in a dream state. You can experience physical, visual, auditory sensations just like you would in a dream, but are not actually occurring in real life. The feeling that what you are seeing, hearing, smelling and your physical sensations are real is incredibly intense and terrifying because your brain has no way to discern what is real and what is not, all you know is that it seems you have woken up in a nightmare world. I hope you don't have these frequently! :)
Colleen, I for one am not trying to say "you're wrong" by calling it something else other than "demon". I am not sure why you were upset to hear it called that (sleep paralysis). If you read about people's experiences with it, it's basically just what happened to you.. What you described is exactly what happened to me (several times; I had roughly 7 episodes in my 20s). Couldn't talk, scream, or move (that's sleep paralysis in a nutshell) and felt something was trying to choke me, hold me down, suffocate me. (Some people see the "intruder"/attacker/"demon"). In my experiences, I felt a presence in the room that I was fighting off. A few other times I felt extreme electrical charges too, like something was trying to take me away/pull me away from my home. All of this occurred in my 20s. I only ever told my mom about this because I thought for sure I was alone and this was crazy. No one had ever told me their experience like this. But as I have gotten older, I hear from others it's happened to. Whatever you want to call it - demon, sleep paralysis- it is real and it is terrifying.
I'm really scared its happened to my brother and my mom but my mom said she could close her eyes and it wasn't that scary because she was sleeping over at her friends and they had like some relative die there so she knew it was that relative/spirit because she saw the shadow. But anyways I'm very scared its going to happen to me! I don't want to die I'll be terrified if it does happen! Does it hurt you after it stops? Do you know how long it lasts usually?
No this is an actual demon. My mom is a catholic and she got visited by a demon. She was standing up, folding laundry, and then she smelled something really acrid. She looks down the hallway and sees an ugly thing walking towards her. She was completely paralyzed. Not with fear, but because she could not move. So this is not sleep paralysis.
***** It was sleep paralysis. She was having a nightmare, but her nightmare included the realistic setting of her bedroom. As you know, you can experience all five senses in your nightmare. It's scary, but it is also harmless. An Ouija board also has no connection to the spiritual realm. I forget the term, but it has something to do with your subconscious, and the subconscious of the person you're doing the Ouija with. If it really had something to do with the paranormal, then you would be able to do it yourself.
Diedra Aliza It can. I get night terrors quite rarely now, but when I was in my early teens I'd have sleep paralysis too. Every time it happened I'd also see black humanoid shapes crawling up my walls, on my ceiling, and around my bed. Sometimes some of them would stop and just stare at me too. Totally terrifying, but it went away after a while. Luckily it happens to a lot of people in my family, so I was warned about it before it even started. That being said, I don't know if what happened to Colleen was sleep paralysis or not. There are some similarities though.
Diedra Aliza "It is often accompanied by terrifying hallucinations (such as an intruder in the room) to which one is unable to react due to paralysis, and physical experiences (such as strong current running through the upper body)."
I believe you about whatever the haunting was. People that don't believe it and are trying to prove you wrong, are just too scared to admit that it was real.
Nope. I'm just an empiricist. I suppose it's not 100% impossible that it could have been some being not yet discovered by science, but I find that to be _extremely_ unlikely. Also, by that rationale, could it be that YOU'RE afraid to admit that it's _not_ real? And that many things you believe in might not be real?
For those of you who are getting scared/getting freaked out by these sleep paralysis stories, I want to share my story with you that will hopefully make you feel better or try to make you laugh :) So, I have also experienced sleep paralysis, a little more than I can count. But there is one I remember really vividly because of how ridiculous it was. I woke up around 3 am ish, and I knew something didn't feel right. I looked at the foot of my bed and saw a tall shadowy figure. I couldn't move or call out for help because sleep paralysis is awesome. I thought it looked like Slenderman, now get this, it all of a sudden started dancing. Swaying his arms around and such. I know that sounds absolutely absurd, but I honest to God am telling the truth. At first I was sort of creeped out, but I just think about it and laugh.
Thanks xDD I think of that and remember the "Like an Enderman" song and the be5ter animations mine craft mod.. Just hilarious xD thank you! My guardian angel is probably that guy. 😂
That is called sleep paralysis. When you are alseep your body goes into a state of paralysis so that when you are dreaming you don't hurt yourself when moving. Sometimes when you wake up suddenly from a deep sleep the paralysis is still there so you cant move or talk. When people wake up and are paralyzed they often hallucinate monsters. So don't worry about it, this is totally normal :)
ariana grandefaneeow it’s normal bro I experienced it too and I saw this white thing laughing at me and another time was when my head was like drilling and I also saw that white figure and it’s sleep paralysis like it just lasts a few seconds and you’ll wake up
For all you people that are having similar experiences i have too but I had sleep paralysis and I have told my family , who are Christians, and they prayed for me , and I promise you , my life has been SO much better and relaxing , and I'm not scared of that or have a hard time sleeping becuase I know that I am being taken care of by God , demons , those creatures , they are afraid of him , he is their weekends , during that or when you think it's going to happen yell out his name ! Or while it's happening , pray in your head and try your best to talk!! It works
I've had the some what exact same thing happen to me... I was on my ipod at like 2:30 in the morning and I was playing a game. I had just happened to look down the hallway and look in my bathroom because I thought I heard something and I did. I saw this black shadow that looked like a little girl. I kept saying hello hello hello and I got no reply. I tried going back to sleep but every time I shut my eyes I saw fire!! I looked down the hall again and she kept coming closer and closer and I finally said " What's your name?" I heard " my name is Hellen" I freaked out because the first ever owner of my house her name was Hellen. She finally said " can you help me because my heart hurts" I thought about what my mom had told me " Hellen was the name of the owner of this house and she died in a hospital" I'm like " Um are you ok?" Then she finally said " yes but your not:) because you fucking an ass you hell of a bitch!" Then she disappear and it all was over and she never came back again
Having the presence of an intruder while under sleep paralysis is a common experience. This is because when someone wakes up with the inability to move, the brain goes under a deep terror since it would be vulnerable to an attack. The dark shadowy figure is just your brain imagining things, or just something that looks like a demon in the dark like luggage, a broom, a sweater on a hook, etc. The weight being pressed onto you is just your chest having been pulled gown by gravity for a while making it feel more intense then it should, which is typical when you can't move and yet feel everything around you, also your ability to speak is impaired when under sleep paralysis.
Not saying this explanation can't be true but also if she knows what she saw and felt then why do people always try to disprove someone's experience. And also if she experienced this why not at her place or some hotel? She would experience this more often but it's only happened in this one place.
TrueFan4EverBACK Sleep paralysis isn't a common thing to experience for most. It's probably just a coincidence. Either that or a demon little girl resides in her body and looking for her next victim ^-^
She didn't have a sleep payalizes! It happened to me you can feel the demon pressing against you you can't talk! Or anything believe me people who invented sleep payalizes have not experienced it!
it doesn't matter what you think we should just listen and if she said she got pesested then she is probably not lying and you people don't know if she is lying or not you can't just hear the story and just cause you don't believe it doesn't mean you can call her a liar.
Ok look Colleen. Just like you i am fascinated and looove paranormal and scary stuff and all that, and as much as I wanna think the same way that you do about that story, i cant. That was nothing but sleep paralysis. During that you are basically awake but your brain is still asleep, and you're basically having nightmares while you're awake. You couldnt move because every night we all go through a fase in our sleep where were so deeply asleep that during our dreams we might get like involuntary movements that could hurt you, so your brain paralyzes you to avoid hurting yourself. And you hallucinate during sleep paralysis, so whatever was at the foot of your bed was not a demon. Now, that being said, the story that you told in another Colleen's Corner where you talk about thinking something was wrong with your roommate's breathing... THAT is something scary and I love it
You can't confirm that when you weren't there. People do experience this stuff & it's pretty damn sad when they try to tell their story but nobody believes them & tries telling them it was something else.... All in all, you wouldn't understand unless it's happened to you.
Colleen, I think what happened to you was a Wild Dream aka a Sleep Paralysis. It's basically when your body is in sleep mode but the only things moving/working are your eyes and your heart. All the brain does is start to hallucinate things and react in panic, which makes you have "living nightmares." As scary as it is, it's not real.
It was a demon. Even if people do not want to believe it, they exist. When I was younger I saw things. things like this are happening between 2am and 4am.
Alphacen when a demon or a person using some king of curse (we can't see them at night, we call them DORLIS, google it) is touching you, you can't move. somebody, beat me and bite me one night and it's the same thing.
You listed ALL the symptoms for sleep paralysis. It's only because the mechanism in your brain relaxing your muscles during sleep, is still active even after you've woken up. If someone talks to you, your brain fully wakes up and it's stops. During sleep paralysis, you see black shadows and feel like your chest is being pushed down. Many people experience it. Just get even more sleep and early night and after a while it will never happen again :)
I've had an experience like that. I woke up, wide awake, at 2:13 in the morning. I couldn't move at all. I started hearing a sort of whistling sound. I couldn't close my eyes. It felt like someone was holding them open. I looked at the foot of my bed and I saw this dark shadow, just grinning at me. It's teeth were yellow and it's eyes glowed green. It's hands grabbed my foot and started squeezing it. My foot felt like it was going to turn purple. I wanted to scream, but nothing was coming out. I was crying hard. Then, it started pulling my leg. I couldn't move until my cat started walking on me. I then started balling my eyes out and didn't fall back asleep until 5 in the morning.
Colleen the same exact demon thing happened to my dad after a ton of freaky things happened in a house that we had moved into. Dresses in the closets were moving, I had claimed I saw a dark figure walk into my room (I was 2) etc. So my dad was sleeping in my room to help me fall asleep, and then he felt what he described as an enormous amount of pressure on him all of a sudden, and he couldn't speak or move. In the bible it says that demons will flee at the very sound of Jesus' name, so he finally screamed "Jesus" and it instantly stopped. After that we had our pastor come pray in every room and nothing else happened. So yes, I know exactly what you're talking about and I believe it was a demon.
You didn't need to add the stupid part about Jesus. Not all people believe in him, so you should keep it to your fucking self. Thanks, and have a nice day.
Okay to that person who was getting all mad about you talking about Jesus, CALM YOURSELF DOWN. It was your choice to read the comment, and it was for COLLEEN, not ignorant people like you.
is it really necessary for you to say all of that. This comment want left for you it was for colleen and summer people believe in Jesus she is just saying what she thinks will help saying wat she thinks allhelp
Dude, Colleen. It is sleep paralysis. I had this happen to me. I was on my stomach, sleeping, and I opened my eyes. There was a HEAVY weight on my back, and when I tried to look behind me (I couldn't move my head, completely unable to move at all) I saw a dark figure behind me. I started to scream, but my voice was not there. After a few minutes, the feeling melted away. I could move, and the shadow was gone. Promise you, girl. It's sleep paralysis. Or thousands of people have been possessed, haha. Still, the most terrifying moment of my life to date.
Yes! that's exactly what happened to me yesterday!! I woke up and my heart was beating so fast and i was sobbing and tears were running from my eyes...I am afraid to go to sleep now. i don't want it to happen again...:(
If sleep paralysis is real, then wouldn't it be logical that everyone's experience would be really unique? All the experiences are very similar, scary and evil, and never wonderful. It seems like the thing/things that's causing "sleep paralysis" is influencing people to think otherwise from the truth, the truth being that it's not "sleep paralysis," therefore keeping us from knowledge that they don't want us to know. I know that lots of people won't like what I said, and will not want to believe it, because eventually, it will lead to certain things that are unattractive, but are good things.
***** What's happening is your body believes you are still asleep and dreaming, when you yourself are awake and conscious. You are temporarily paralyzed because your body prevents you from acting out your dreams naturally. And it is believed that the dark figures are after images left over from your dream, basically.
Anyone else realize in the beginning of the video the apostrophe in "colleen's" was there but when the comment about it not being there, it disappeared until she drew it again?
I think it was actually a dream paralysis, because in dream paralysis it's normal to see "demons" and it's normal to feel like you're being pushed by something
Colleen, I have experienced both sleep paralysis and visitations and they are two different things. I grew up in a haunted house and used to have something come to me at night sometimes and you feel so helpless. With sleep paralysis you never feel like you are being held down, just that you can't move. It is WAY different, so i don't know if it helps but I believe you
I grew up in a house like that too. At this point I'm used to positive and negative energies, but I've experienced hostile things too. Never been confronted, but I tend to be stalked :/
Rumi C Nope, those 'idiots' use the evidence and facts to determine the cause, rather than resorting to 'OMG I'M BEING ATTACKED! IT WAS A DEMON, I WAS ATTACKED!' Seriously grow up this is real life not a fairy tale >< I have no issue with people who are religious or believe in life after death but sleep paralysis is a well documented biological phenomenon, if you're going to say that you're being attacked, you might as well say that we sneeze because we're being tickled under the nose by an invisible monster, or we vomit because we're poisoned by attackers. Clearly neither of those things are true. (well at least if we are poisoned it'll be by a human nothing supernatural)
Coleen you are awesome and I watch your Miranda Sings channel and it makes me laugh up and down and I just want to thank you because you make my life so easy and joyful and I am wishing you a Merry Christmas too. Thank you:)
Once upon a time.. There was a girl. With great lipstick. She had a dream..to be a singer! Her name was... MIRANDA SINGS She made vids with her uncle. And was the favorite child. *Emily screams at me* And she became viral on youtube and earned lots of baes. THE END.
Me too that happens to me Maëva Gosselin and when she said it I started felling the same thing as her and ran as fast as I could to my brother and dad I was terrified.
Ya, that used to happen to me a lot and I went to the doctor and it turned out to be sleep paralysis, it at least happens once in a persons life caused by lack of oxygen
Yeah it definitely was because you see shadows and things coming towards you when they aren't there and you can't move or speak you are just stuck there
Colleen I totally get you. One night I was sleeping on my couch in my living room and my living room connects with my kitchen with two wide steps. The next morning was supposed to be Easter so I was sleeping on Easter night basically. I woke up wide awake in the middle of the night hearing rustling in my kitchen I knew it wasn't any of my family cause I can tell by their footsteps. I was littler at this time so I still believed in the Easter bunny. And the rustling moved my Parlor which is on the other side connected with my kitchen. And it got louder coming back into the kitchen. You move from my kitchen into the living room there's a little platform before you can go down the two steps and basically something walked out on that platform. I was scared shitless. I couldn't move at all. Footsteps to wrestling on the platform and suddenly they stopped. It was really quiet for a few seconds and I could hear my heart beating loud and clear. All of a sudden the footsteps came running down the stairs towards me and I screamed bloody murder. My couch is facing away from the stairs so I never actually saw anything but I swear to fucking God it was the damn Easter bunny coming to murder me in my house at night. Don't believe those people who say sleep paralysis I know what I saw and I believe you 100% demons and Easter bunnies will fucking murder you in your sleep so watch you back. Love ya ❤️
+Maddy Deck That's sleep paralysis. Your mind is half asleep, but you are conscious. Your dreams cause you to hallucinate, but because you aren't fully awake you can't move- but it feels totally real.
2:36 Colleen I have fact: When you wake up at 3:00 a.m and you don't know why.. It means someone's looking at you at that time... (I know it's creepy but I'm not sure if it's real..)
No that just happen to me I woke up and felt someone grab my wrist I thought my sister wasp pranking me until I woke up I tried to scream move but nothing I was screaming for my dad even though he is out of town and for my mom and sister just everyone I got so freaked out
If sleep paralysis is real, then wouldn't it be logical that everyone's experience would be really unique? All the experiences are very similar, scary and evil, and never wonderful. It seems like the thing/things that's causing "sleep paralysis" is influencing people to think otherwise from the truth, the truth being that it's not "sleep paralysis," therefore keeping us from knowledge that they don't want us to know. ***** Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis? It's when you ''wake up'' during you REM sleep and your brain is half awake half asleep. This causes you to hallucinate, because you are half asleep and basically still dreaming, but because you are also half awake you can see these dreams in real life standing next to you. It's is all made up by your brain and the figures or other images aren't real. Its is really scary though, I've had it myself too a couple of times. You are unable to move or speak and you feel like something is holding you down. But when you are experiencing sleep paralysis it's key to try to stay calm and try to move your fingers or head, this will cause you to really wake up and regain control of your body.
SAME spooky thing happened to me!! Except a LOT more of your senses were involved because when I experienced it, I couldn't see the spirit or smell anything, but I definitely struggles to speak, struggled to clearly open my eyes, and only felt and heard the "spirit". It tapped me over the head and said "Boo!" SOOOO weird.. I figured it was sleep paralysis when I researched it.
1:38 same so i was watching a specific show i did not tell any one i was watching it and one person said to me "so are you finish watching that show" he said the same show i watched. I also saw small dots in my house i was like "THATS A CAMERA!" AND I WOULD WAVE AT IT.I i was like "Is my crush watching me?"😂
watched this at night and after the video i got paranoid. i kept hearing rattling noises, but then i remembered i live near an airport and its the vibrations of the airplane doing those sounds. but then i kept hearing this air swooshing sound and it turned out to be my father snoring. never again am i watching things like this before going to bed.
No, it's imperative that we never see Miranda's uncle, or her mother. They must always exist in negative space, 'cause what we can imagine is so much more disturbing than what they can convey. Personally, I like to think that Miranda is actually the most normal member of the family...
It's not demons or ghosts, it's sleep paralysis. "Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon in which a person, either during falling asleep or awakening, temporarily experiences an inability to move, speak, or react. It is a transitional state between wakefulness and sleep, characterized by muscle atonia (muscle weakness). It is often accompanied by terrifying hallucinations (such as an intruder in the room) to which one is unable to react due to paralysis, and physical experiences (such as strong current running through the upper body)."
My definition of Sleep Paralysis is just a term for when a demon paralyzes ur body and tries to scare and probably possess u. I've actually experienced this but it felt like someone was sitting on my chest and I didn't see any shadow I just heard giggling
OMFG That's si creepy! When I had sleep paralysis in the beginning of the year the weirdest thing that happened was I was flashbacking BACK ONTO THIS EXACT VIDEO AND WHILE COLLEEN WAS DESCRIBING EVERYTHING THAT SPECIFIC THING HAPPENED TO ME! Then I was like: "COLLEEN WHYY?! 😭😭😭😭" Then the next morning I woke up I was like: "Did I seriously blame Colleen?" Then when I got to school I told everyone and they said they also experienced it! Then for the next 2 weeks I was doing research on SP and made myself scared to sleep.
Sleep Paralysis is a state between wakefulness and sleepfulness, where part of your brain that controls movement is asleep and the other is awake, and you hallucinations of intruders in your room, and you're afraid something might happen to you, so you try to call for help, the more you try the more nothing comes out. While you see The hallucinations, you have a sensational feeling of something pushing/laying on top of you and you struggle to breath, but realistically its just in your mind, but you're not controlling it, its because that's what you were thinking and it put you into shock which made it hard for you to sleep.
Taylor Norman Have you experienced it? Cuz I had sleep paralysis since I was younger but nothing scary has ever happened until last year when I heard giggling and I woke up not being able to move then the feeling of someone on my chest. And I never had a thought of an intruder coming in my house 😂😂 I just thought crap I can't move. And I would try to move and get myself up. I know my definition was weird but I think sleep paralysis can sometimes be demonic. But other times no. I didn't know I've been experiencing sleep paralyis until my scary episode happened last and my friends looked it up for me and told me what it was.
It might have been sleep paralysis, but it might have been something else. Whether it was a vengeful Spirit or a Demon, I can say this-it wanted to make you afraid. Likely if it was a Demon, it wanted to feed off your fear. The best thing you can do is stay calm and tell yourself this will end. Keep trying to move and be patient. The more afraid you are, the worse the experience is because you are giving in and letting it take a firmer hold on you. I've actually been through something like this several times and the worst ones were at this apartment I was at. Anyway, once you are able to stay calm, you will find that these things lose their power over you and it won't be as bad. This message goes to anyone who has this problem. I could go on more, but I'm sure I'll just get a bunch of you're crazy:)
I'd like to hear more of your story if you don't mind. But then again, I don't want to be nosy. And I do have a few questions, how would you describe this figure..? Besides being shadowy, demonic, and very frightening... My other question is, is there a possible way to be cured of getting these hallucinations when you get your sleep paralysis? Thanks.
I have spirits in my house. and I hate it when people say "oh your probably just imagining it" yeah right. I know what I see/saw don't come telling me im psycho when you are! one time before I was sleeping and my eyes just opened up (Like you said in the video) and all of a sudden my heart stopped I sat up really fast and at the end of the bed I saw this girl looking at me with a mean look. so I ran out the room and into my sister's room (thankfully she was awake) and I just started crying I was so scared. just because you didn't see it doesn't mean its fake. what if you say "I saw a unicorn" I wouldn't say 'oh your just imagining it' because maybe you did maybe you didn't im not the one to say you didn't because maybe unicorns are real. I don't know that. so don't say something when you don't know the truth.
Ok, I believe the way to keep yourself safe is to put shiny things like spoons or anything around you, if I'm not mistaken, the demons are afraid of shining things/bright things. Either that or put on a scary mask and jump up an scare them XD
THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE SCARY STORY! OMG! I sometimes i watch once upon a time late into the night, and it was like 2 am, i i wanted to go to sleep. so i closed my iPad, and looked up, and right next to my bed right there was a dark shadowy figure, and his arm was raised. like he was holding a knife or something. i felt like the wind had been knocked out of me, and i couldn't breath for like 20 seconds. then i opened the iPad, to shine some light on it and it was gone and i could breath again. IT WAS SO SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!! colleen, you are not the only one. your not crazy, its happened to me too. and the people who are saying its just sleep paralysis, are just scared people who believe that so they wont be scared of demons.
It has happened to me too!!! I heard two men in my room saying "are you ready"... "It's time! I share a bunk bed with my sister so I heard them climbing up the ladder. I just stayed all the way under my covers praying that my family and I would be alright. After a couple minutes it passed and I went into my parents room, woke my mom up, told her everything that happened and I slept with them. Scariest experience ever!!!
No, you believe in supernatural stuff so when something happens which is in line (even vaguely) with what you believe, you label it as such. 'Oh I see a black figure, no idea what this is therefore must be a demon' as you can't be bothered or dont' want to look for a real explanation. You are right with one respect - I am not scared of demons, but the reason is because they do not exist. What does exist however, is your brain, the neuronal network which runs through your body and is unbelievably well adapted. Think about it, your brain can do so many things, your brain is the reason you dream, day dream, hear your conscience, remember things from decades ago and so much more... you were in a dark room, you saw a shadowy figure which was likely just as you were so tired... it was 2am... you were terrified.. a natural reaction to being scared is the inability to breath or move.. Seriously, I would recommend looking up sleep paralysis before judging it. There was a great documentary on sleep paralysis on youtube if that's still there, otherwise just google it :)
why do you guys assume they are holding a knife or want to hurt you?? for all you know this guy just wants to brighten your... very early morning, by giving you a donut (: lol that's my shot at a logical explanation!
Im actually so freaked out by the demon story omg save me
im freaking out too and probably wont sleep tonight
Omg same
so freaked out as well by that story
Hi holly!
I am too😰
I wouldn't of flipped out if she didn't mention the sulfur... I'm in the supernatural fandom
Ok, I know that everyone is scared and freaking out in the comments, but can we just take a second to admire her computer screen in the background?? It changes colors!! Am I the only one that couldn't stop looking at it??

Same 😨
Me too, but instead, I do it everyday :) I need help :)
Angela is horRENdous Relatable😂
Exactly you spoke my mind
Eeee i actually have sleep paralysis-
I had sleep paralysis once luckily it wasn’t to scary but it was about the thing that I was scared of the most and my experience with sleep paralysis was that I didn’t feel like I couldn’t move but I didn’t move if you know what I mean like I didn’t feel like I was paralyzed or couldn’t move I just didn’t move.
Why do we all see the same dark figure during sleep paralysis? I’ve always been interested in learning more about this. My sleep paralysis makes me have audio hallucinations as I fall asleep. I have exploding head syndrome too 🤦♀️
you said it :)
Thanks for making me less scared 😂
Sxfia lol
wow thanks for that amazing story 😄
+jordan ramji yep happened to me for about 2 months! Exaclty like that ! its horrible
thank you
It was sleep paralysis, there are two kinds, one where youre fine, no dark shadows, no pressure, youre just confused and paralized.
You're right. I get sleep paralysis a lot it's a horrible thing.
Do have an explanation for why she was seeing blood in her eyelids?
stephanievengeance You can hallucinate during sleep paralysis, your still dreaming basically.
When I was younger I would think I was being filmed or that my crushes would be watching me do everything 😂😂😂 omg lol
ME TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OMG IM NOT WEIRD
SAME OMG
OMG same!!
YAS! I totally felt that way!
Oh my god! Me too! I actually still think that... Lol
I remember watching this years ago and being shook. Then this year in AP psych we learned about sleep paralysis and this is basically all of the symptoms
Oh my gosh!! I used to think my life was being filmed as a reality TV show too!!
^that's because you're still a kid x)
Same I'm going to she nightmares now 😈😥
You know what you have some language I can not say but you sound like a great person.😊

Well, watch Haters Back Off to see Miranda's family ♡
Sleep paralysis isn't just not being able to move. Essentially you are awake, but your brain is still in a dream state. You can experience physical, visual, auditory sensations just like you would in a dream, but are not actually occurring in real life. The feeling that what you are seeing, hearing, smelling and your physical sensations are real is incredibly intense and terrifying because your brain has no way to discern what is real and what is not, all you know is that it seems you have woken up in a nightmare world. I hope you don't have these frequently! :)
Heather Leigh I've had it twice about different things and now because of them I have anxiety
Many people with sleep paralysis also think they see demons or a dark shadow person in the corner
She definitely had that
no it's not that It as happened to me it's not maybe if you know what it's feels like then you would find out what it's like
I littterely think that as well: 1:43
Harry Hatcher same
SAME
Yea
Your story scared me.
Me too!
Same here😱😱
Couldn't sleep!
this is before i go to bed so...
Me too, since she posted this video i couldn't sleep well
Colleen, I for one am not trying to say "you're wrong" by calling it something else other than "demon". Whatever you want to call it - demon, sleep paralysis- it is real and it is terrifying.
i hear about this so many times & i never want this too happen to me, sounds terrifying
***** you can't
I'm really scared its happened to my brother and my mom but my mom said she could close her eyes and it wasn't that scary because she was sleeping over at her friends and they had like some relative die there so she knew it was that relative/spirit because she saw the shadow. But anyways I'm very scared its going to happen to me! I don't want to die I'll be terrified if it does happen! Does it hurt you after it stops? Do you know how long it lasts usually?
Maybe there's a demon in your room...?
No this is an actual demon. My mom is a catholic and she got visited by a demon. She was standing up, folding laundry, and then she smelled something really acrid. She looks down the hallway and sees an ugly thing walking towards her. She was completely paralyzed. Not with fear, but because she could not move. So this is not sleep paralysis.
Lol she just explained sleep paralysis...
i dont think a black figure includes in a sleep paralysis
CREEPY
"I still will do fix it" Actual words Colleen said.
I believe you about whatever the haunting was. People that don't believe it and are trying to prove you wrong, are just too scared to admit that it was real.
It was sleep paralysis
Harry Krinkle she described every detail that were symptoms of sleep paralysis
Summerhi Hill Oh, I know. My sister has Sleep Paralysis, and she's experienced most of this. I was refuting the OP.
Harry Krinkle oh ok I was just trying to point out that these are all symptoms of sleep paralysis
For those of you who are getting scared/getting freaked out by these sleep paralysis stories, I want to share my story with you that will hopefully make you feel better or try to make you laugh :)
So, I have also experienced sleep paralysis, a little more than I can count.
Maybe it was doing a Ritual?
Teigan Valder Le gasp! Maybe! O.O
I honestly don't know what it was doing, but I thought it was pretty funny xD
Thanks xDD
I think of that and remember the "Like an Enderman" song and the be5ter animations mine craft mod..
Just hilarious xD thank you! My guardian angel is probably that guy. 😂
livinlikeakat5 ahahhaahah thats funny :DD
livinlikeakat5 haha you just made my day x,D
CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU IN DUBLIN
I follow your twitter, haha! I like your second name
No its not normal not in my no no in the name of Jesus
ariana grandefaneeow it’s normal bro I experienced it too and I saw this white thing laughing at me and another time was when my head was like drilling and I also saw that white figure and it’s sleep paralysis like it just lasts a few seconds and you’ll wake up
I think it was actually a spirit bruh
OMFG that story scared me now I can't sleep
Me too 😭
Me too!!
Same😕
SAME!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Mommy? LOL! Same with me
why it gotta be a BLACK demon........ Just kidding love this video xoxoxoxox
LOL!
Hahahhaha
Hahahaha, maybe funniest youtube comment ever!
Hahaha! I agree. I actually lol'd.
Lol
For all you people that are having similar experiences i have too but I had sleep paralysis and I have told my family , who are Christians, and they prayed for me , and I promise you , my life has been SO much better and relaxing , and I'm not scared of that or have a hard time sleeping becuase I know that I am being taken care of by God , demons , those creatures , they are afraid of him , he is their weekends , during that or when you think it's going to happen yell out his name ! Or while it's happening , pray in your head and try your best to talk!! It works
im a Christian as well, reading these comments FREAKED ME OUT! thanks for the great advice!
Of you stick your middle finger up will it banish it down to hell scince the middle finger means go to hell
Or you can close your eyes and wait for it to end because saying a prayer will not change the way your brain is wired and how your brain functions.
Lol no fuck religion
Maybe it was the demon that possessed twaimz 😂 😂 😂 lol
I totally agree !!!! It has happen to me
So many times !!!!
MrBukket Hm, well I guess that's your opinion.
She didn't have a sleep payalizes! It happened to me you can feel the demon pressing against you you can't talk! Or anything believe me people who invented sleep payalizes have not experienced it!
I know you say it's a demon but that's definitely sleep paralysis, it comes with hallucinations and that feeling on your chest.
Yeah that's what I was thinking
it doesn't matter what you think we should just listen and if she said she got pesested then she is probably not lying and you people don't know if she is lying or not you can't just hear the story and just cause you don't believe it doesn't mean you can call her a liar.
no, that "demon" must be the massage lady from Mexico (one that poked her vag...)
Probably not
If you're not being sarcastic, I'm telling you it's a ghost. Sleep paralysis, whatever you call it, happens because of ghosts
I wish I could just listen to all of Colleen's stories all day!
i love your shirt!!!
THAT is something scary and I love it
What video was the weird breathing?
When I was younger I saw things. things like this are happening between 2am and 4am.
i believe her other story about amanda and the breathing but this is sleep paraylisis it matches everything
Alphacen I don't believe it's sleep paralysis and Colleen neither.
it was it had to have been because she couldnt move
Thanks for the tip
No it doesn't sound like sleep paralysis. I've suffered from sleep paralysis & it's much less creepy & demonic than that.
fuck u
+Luci Anna same to u
I believe that it is not sleep paralysis
I never noticed when I watched this years ago, but these clips are out of order😂 in the beginning the apostrophe is already there 🤣🤣
I've had an experience like that. I then started balling my eyes out and didn't fall back asleep until 5 in the morning.
i am so sorry
This is 100% perfectly described what happened to me last night! except i couldn't see the detail of the demon
Really that would have been so scarey
Alana Boa man ive never experieced that but that just souns realy creepy and i feel sorry for you
Rebeka Ecker I know i've never expirenced that befor but iam just thinking about if it happends in the future
Yeah but some people do. She can say what she wants to say without people saying what she can't.
Okay to that person who was getting all mad about you talking about Jesus, CALM YOURSELF DOWN. It was your choice to read the comment, and it was for COLLEEN, not ignorant people like you.
is it really necessary for you to say all of that. This comment want left for you it was for colleen and summer people believe in Jesus she is just saying what she thinks will help
saying wat she thinks allhelp
I have seen the dark shadow 2x's now... Creepy as hell XD
You know Miranda, you should give up this Colleen character that you do. ;)
Comment made my day
Miranda is much mor bootifuler.
This made my fucking day
Colleens character is Miranda
lololololololol, wait, now im confused...
I RELATE SO FREAKING MUCH ON ALL QUESTIONS IM CRYING
I woke up and my heart was beating so fast and i was sobbing and tears were running from my eyes...I am afraid to go to sleep now. i don't want it to happen again...:(
MEE to I can't sleep now and I stay up all night I can't sleep no more it's too scary for me
I would have had nightmares if it wasn't for your comment, thank you so much haha
Didn't Shane talk about this aren't they called shadow people 🤔
yes he did, and the sleep paralysis
Your right
+Princess Loren162 what about my right? my right what?

Today during an assembly at school a girl came out dressed like Miranda and she said the announcements in Miranda's voice
That is amazing.
I'm jealous.
I think it was actually a dream paralysis, because in dream paralysis it's normal to see "demons" and it's normal to feel like you're being pushed by something
Also known as sleep paralysis; ).
+kidcoryx kenshin Yeah, same thing 😄
Actually I've had the same thin happen to me. The bed was even creaking as I was getting pushed down.
+Rachel Ott I searched on Internet and it's normal to be pushed down while sleep paralysis, and everything is in your head
Actually its sleep paralisis
Colleen, I have experienced both sleep paralysis and visitations and they are two different things. I grew up in a haunted house and used to have something come to me at night sometimes and you feel so helpless. With sleep paralysis you never feel like you are being held down, just that you can't move. It is WAY different, so i don't know if it helps but I believe you
I grew up in a house like that too. At this point I'm used to positive and negative energies, but I've experienced hostile things too. Never been confronted, but I tend to be stalked :/
I've had sleep paralysis.. and yes I felt like I was being held down, or like something was sitting on me, making it difficult to breath.
Natalie Rau you tend to be stalked?
Neal G SLEEP PARALYSIS: A cover up title to satisfy the idiots that refuse to believe that they were being attacked.
Thank you:)
Plot twist: Colleen is a character portrayed and created by Miranda.

I'm scared can someone tell me a happy story????
once upon a time there was a rainbow........
Once upon a time Colleen got possessed by a demon and the the demon ran away God came out turned it day and made a rainbow come out. The end

Ya, that used to happen to me a lot and I went to the doctor and it turned out to be sleep paralysis, it at least happens once in a persons life caused by lack of oxygen

me too!!
me too yay.
Love ya ❤️
😘
+Maddy Deck Could you move?
Glacial Echoes No, i was like stuck to my couch
+Maddy Deck That's sleep paralysis. Your mind is half asleep, but you are conscious. Your dreams cause you to hallucinate, but because you aren't fully awake you can't move- but it feels totally real.
Ok, I was in sleep paralysis while the eater bunny was trying to murder me in my sleep :)
2:36 Colleen I have fact: When you wake up at 3:00 a.m and you don't know why.. It means someone's looking at you at that time... (I know it's creepy but I'm not sure if it's real..)
+A for Alex completely fake. no way to prove it.
+A for Alex that used to happen to me before, it happened for like 3 or 4 days then it stopped happening and never happened since then
3:00 is when you do Bloody Mary 😳😱
I have stayed up to 3:00 and even 4:00 and nothing happens
+grace hamilton ik that nothing happens, it's just a fact when you wake up at 3:00 am it means someone's looking right at you...
It is cool when you talk about both. I come to you when I am sad. You make me laugh so much.
YOUR. SHIRT. WHERE DID YOU GET IT. I NEED IT.
I love it to!
"same" (colleen voice)
Same
literally same i love disney
What you just described is called sleep paralysis. It's pretty common. Look it up!
No
supergirly Love i didnt
I know that lots of people won't like what I said, and will not want to believe it, because eventually, it will lead to certain things that are unattractive, but are good things.
WHERE IS YOUR SHIRT FROM????? I REALLY LOVE IT AND NEED IT IN MY LIFE!!!!!!
Its a sweater i have it and i got it from a store named ross but its a disney clothing piece
Omg something like this happened to me about 2 1/2 years ago!!!!😲😰😱😨
SAME spooky thing happened to me!! Except a LOT more of your senses were involved because when I experienced it, I couldn't see the spirit or smell anything, but I definitely struggles to speak, struggled to clearly open my eyes, and only felt and heard the "spirit". It tapped me over the head and said "Boo!" SOOOO weird.. I figured it was sleep paralysis when I researched it.
definitely felt like some sort of dark spirit was in my presence though
Now that apostrophe is bothering me
Good for you.
Since you noticted it you can't go back
I saw the title and i immediately thought - Yeah, the demons called Miranda
Wow good joke -_-
why would the demons call Miranda? unless you mean the demon's called Miranda
1:38 same so i was watching a specific show i did not tell any one i was watching it and one person said to me "so are you finish watching that show" he said the same show i watched. I also saw small dots in my house i was like "THATS A CAMERA!" AND I WOULD WAVE AT IT.I i was like "Is my crush watching me?"😂
Well there goes my sleep.
There goes mine
+Taylor Marie its just sleep paralysis :)
mine too
***** yes it is look it up -_-
***** ok 10 yr old.
watched this at night and after the video i got paranoid. i kept hearing rattling noises, but then i remembered i live near an airport and its the vibrations of the airplane doing those sounds. but then i kept hearing this air swooshing sound and it turned out to be my father snoring. never again am i watching things like this before going to bed.
i'm going to go watch hannah montana now to get my mind off these things
I would really love to meet miranda's uncle (played by josh).
What about Miranda is dressed up like her family?? (Like Miranda is dressed up as her uncle ) 😊
22EllaGrace if we go with deeper thoughts, that would be kinda sad.
No, it's imperative that we never see Miranda's uncle, or her mother. They must always exist in negative space, 'cause what we can imagine is so much more disturbing than what they can convey. Personally, I like to think that Miranda is actually the most normal member of the family...
Miranda's Uncle Is Kory. Lol. I Think.
Love her shirt. YOUR PREGNANT CONGRATULATIONS! IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU❤️❤️ I ALSO MISS THESE VIDEOS BUT IM SO EXCITED
I'm watching this at night and I got do freaked out when she told us about the demon thing. bad idea for me
I know right omfg im just done i love ghosts and demons but like aaaahhh
It's not demons or ghosts, it's sleep paralysis. "Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon in which a person, either during falling asleep or awakening, temporarily experiences an inability to move, speak, or react. It is a transitional state between wakefulness and sleep, characterized by muscle atonia (muscle weakness). It is often accompanied by terrifying hallucinations (such as an intruder in the room) to which one is unable to react due to paralysis, and physical experiences (such as strong current running through the upper body)."
me too
omg same
+Denver Patterson errrr well I belie her completely 😊
Never watch this at 12:00pm, I have lost all ability to sleep
Crap
at l7nch?
12pm is lunch time, wtf
I'm watching this at 12 am lol I'll still sleep..... Maybe
FR!!!
Sleep paralysis you can see anything your brain is still half asleep it's like a nightmare in real life
+Chioma E "my definition" "demon paralyzes ur body" lol ok.
I didn't know I've been experiencing sleep paralyis until my scary episode happened last and my friends looked it up for me and told me what it was.
this was the perfect combination of funny/scary lmao probably one of my favourite colleen's corner
I am watching this at night while it's raining SO heavy outside. Help me I'M SO SCARED. Guess who's going to watch spongebob before bed
You should have called Sam and Dean
People theses days sam and dean are here to help you go for it callem they wont bite they will save you!😱 jk😝

best show in the world
The girl in the intro said "Culleen" and it is REALLY TITTING ME OFF
ticking?
person:were you in cheerleading in highschool? colleen: evil laugh nooooo 😂😂😂😂
Thanks.
Eliza Aniceto no there is no way to cure sleep peralysis except to read a bible and pray...
Oh ok, thanks. :)
your welcome... if you ever need anything, you know who to ask, and maybe we can be friends
Does everyone get sleep paralysis? And if so, is there a way to prevent it like a certain way to sleep or a certain time to go to sleep?
Now we've actually met Miranda's family on Haters Back Off!
That broccoli impression was on point.
I think I'm being followed by cameras for a tv show too, I always think about ! I'm not alone 😂
Try saying Jesus and they will go away. I promise :)
Puppy Cat -_-
Ok, I believe the way to keep yourself safe is to put shiny things like spoons or anything around you, if I'm not mistaken, the demons are afraid of shining things/bright things. Either that or put on a scary mask and jump up an scare them XD
Oh my gosh that's exactly what happened to me when I was 10!! A young girl just staring at me, and had such an evil look!!
Just an FYI ghosts aren't real but spirits are
THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Casey and Carly Herman totally.
Scared so that we won't be scared...
why do you guys assume they are holding a knife or want to hurt you?? for all you know this guy just wants to brighten your... very early morning, by giving you a donut (: lol that's my shot at a logical explanation!
OMG I *NEED* THAT SWEATER!! OMG
Same! I can't find it anywhere.
The hunt!!
i like colleen talking about miranda.
