I hope the mini set adds a neutral colossal and also some more support for SI:7 rogue/Pirate rogue. However I think we'll not see lots of pirates because of the warrior quest (juggernaut).
I say we will see quite a few small pirates for a low roll on juggernaut. Not a ton so the juggernaut still takes work, but enough to water the pool out, and seeing pirates in rogue makes me happy for that as that stops it from being used with quest.
I think something I’ve seen no-one mention with The Demon Hunter one is how killing the main body stops the others from growing in power. I suppose 1/2s that deal 1 is still kind of powerful, but that’s a decent weakness.
Yeah IMO the most overrated one so far. It’s good but tokens have to be good in short for its real strength as 5 annoying minions to shine, but with the feast of souls buff it might be good just to have the tentacles all die for a burst of card draw.
I got azshara in duels, I chose the Horn of the ancient and it gave me gigafin for 1 mana. My opponent was playing a deathrattle deck and he managed to kill gigafin without killing the maw, and i lost the game right after. So basically, if your opponent can kill gigafin with a spell, it's bad, if not, it's actually pretty good i think. You'll have to play gigafin or not depending of the deck your opponent plays. ( Just like playing rattlegore against priest could let your opponent take advantage with copies and silence. )
hunter loses ton of face tools so I don't think it will be a thing for at least this expansion, so what remains is quest hunter and beast hunter and BBH already saw some fringe competitive success and it got some really neat new tools which might even push it further especially in the right meta
I'd rather fight a beast midrange hunter than just face hunter AGAIN for a year hunter has been the same deck for years I'd love a more midrange deck than just aggro poop face
I disagree about colaque, from what we learned about druid, every card can be broken with enough ramp. Now i know a lot ramp is roratiting out, but druid still have guff and having 20 mana a being able to get multiple copies of scares me. There is a relatively small pool of 7 mana minions so the other druid legendary can pull Colaque or hydralodon out pretty consistently. Also mark of the spikeshell can give you multiple shells to keep colaque on board for ages.
I'd bet Colaque is going to be good purely based on the life druid gets off it. It's a 0/8 taunt that gives 8 health, so at minimum if someone wants to face race you're gaining 16 health for 7 mana on top of having a 6/5 left over. In addition it's a pain in the ass for a spell-heavy deck. Your opponent doesn't want to have to burn down a 0/8 minion to get to a immune 6/5 but they're going to have to unless they're already at the point where they can face race. It works against minion-based aggro, and spell-based decks are going to be really annoyed at the hoops they have to jump through to remove it, it'll mostly fail based on if quest hunter is the king deck because that deck is probably able to out-race it and ignore it, otherwise I don't see that much downside.
You can also use the new weapon to discount the Colossal by 2, don't know how reliable that will be though. Worth noting this also works with Shaw+Korrak but only against opponent minions with 6+ attack and you don't fill your board with hydra heads. Probably a meme combo, but fun.
Okay, but in what world is Hunter running an 11 cost board wipe? I have a feeling this card will be run in some decks but will suffer like other Hunter cards because it's not face damage enough
Pirate warrior getting bran for a potential two juggernaut is bad enough. then adding this colossal to give more pirate warrior gas. Unless you're otk'ing them, i don't think a single control deck can outlast pirate warrior at this point.

Priest and Druid Colossal minions are basically copies of Neutral Cards with an extra effect (Priest is Abominable Lieutenant, Druid is City Architect) their extra effects aren't really worth much (If Colaque was 5 mana and Guardian Animals was still in Standard, that's another story as getting a free trade with an Immune Rush would be sick). Shaman Colossal is too easy to remove. 5 health on 7 mana is pathetic... It'll be insane in Arena though where spells are less common and you have to trade into the Taunts. Similar story for Xhilag, it's like a bad Priestess of Fury since it does less damage when played and is easier to neuter. Gigafin, I can't see being played outside of Rogue getting it from Reconnaissance for an extra board clear. It's probably not going to break the game or define any decks, but it's not awful. We'll have to see where Paladin ends up given their Buff strategy that's been their core deck for the past 2 years is rotating with Librams. Hydralodon is an amazing card. But will Hunter actually use it? It's hard to say, especially given there's been some Quest Hunter support recently. Nellie and Crabatoa are basically auto-include cards for most decks. Nellie gives value and burst potential and Crabatoa gives a lot of tempo and board control. Pretty much all archetypes available to Warrior and Rogue like these effects (Even Garrote Rogue can get some value from Crabatoa clearing the board and some extra face damage from weapons)
I think the turtle is way better than people are giving him credit for. He blocks 16 damage with the appendage alone with half being armor and the other half being a taunt. If you’re a spell deck he’s a pain in the ass because you have to sling spells into a 0/8 just to kill him which is really annoying. Against aggro he’ll be alright and what more do you need?
