    The beat sounds like the machine looks. That's a compliment for the beatmaker and the designer of the hardware.

      To me, this one sounds like it was made with Opz.

    the stereo spread on the snare and synths are nice. sounds like you can get some good dynamics and space on this machine. Excellent work!

    Those deep bass notes sound good. More companies should make warm bass tones.

    Could you please help) and tell me, if I use Seqtrack as a midi sound module, how exactly to select sounds to play (without using program change)? For example, one needs to select a piano sound. Will the selection of timbres for playback via midi by knob? Another question: are the effects settings connected to the timbre itself in one program? Or is it stored in the project and the timbre is independent of the effect? If I want to switch the grand piano to a DX piano, will I need to change the track? Or spin another knob? My controller is a Casio CTS1. If I connect it to a MIDI USB HOST adapter, will Seqtrak play if I connect it to the host with a midi cable? Sincerely, Alexander

      The buttons and knobs are used to select instruments.
      The FM engine is on a separate MIDI channel. You will need to change the channel your controller is using to send data to the SeqTrak to switch from an AWM2 instrument to a FM instrument.
      You would connect the Casio with a USB cable, not a MIDI cable. The problem with modern low end Casios is they weren’t intended for use with external hardware but a MIDI host so you’ll need a MIDI host box to server as an intermediate device. Casio only intended these keyboards to connect with a host (computer). Buying a limited device such as the Casiotones requires a work around.

      Not sure if the CTS1 is usb midi class compliant but I assume. So all you need is a cable that connects USC Micro with USB C. (The SeqTrak, can act as USB MIDI Host, unlike many other groove boxes). Now using it as a sound module is possible but only for jamming/recording at home. For selecting the sound you need to select the synth engine(Synth1/2/DX/Sampler) via the App/Knop,select the patch(which includes the Insert effects/but you can save your own), and select on the Casio the right midi channel (default is 1, you need to switch to 8/9/10/11 accordingly using +/- G2# 7/8/9/10 times), which is for live not perfect.
      The sounds are really good especially the non synth AWM2 ones are really good (similar to MODX).

      Yes it has some memory and you can also load in packs through the app and save them there too. It's Amazing really.

    If they add probability / randomization to the sequencer this machine will be super powerful for what it is.

      seqtrak 100% it is a powerhouse, 128 voice polyphony alone makes it a top. 11 tracks, 2000+sounds, and so much more, sampling.. so much more. You gotta look at the specs of the Seqtrak they are absolutely insane actually.
      I have owned many many grooveboxes\samplers and this is top tier. Especially at this price range.
      For people who complain there's no screen, the app turns your phone or tablet in the screen and it opens up an absolute multitude of options and customization. And hands on learning tools. Yamaha hit it out of the park with this, the Sat back and observed and swooped in with a bang.

      As somebody who suffers eye fatigue very often, I'd rather a bunch of shortcuts. You can use your phone as the screen with the app.

  • @eaman11
    @eaman11 10 місяців тому

    I don't get it: I could make that on a laptop in less time and much easier. What's the point of a grove box that is so limited and so painful to use when is costs like a laptop?

    • @eaman11
      @eaman11 10 місяців тому

      @_itattracts OMG the "I stare to a computer screen all day" mantra. OMG...
      You are telling me that the tactile feeling of the bad keys of that thing are better than my Thinkpad keybeds? You do realize that that thing is a supercheap SBC running Limux? I can run Bitwig on my laptop with any decent MIDI controller.
      What happens when you use the companion app?

      I suffer a lot from eye fatigue from screens. This kind of groove box really makes a difference for somebody like me. That might only be able to Look at the phone in passing glances. I can not tell you how miserable it is. Using the m c 101 screen ALL THE TIME.
      But something that can have the screen in taken away if needed and I can operate off of shortcuts. Take strain right off my eyes.
      I I think this beats the o p z with that. This device ticks all my boxes because I like tactile things but bright box, like novation circuit, ALSO HURT. So a device like this is exactly what i've been waiting for.
