Wow your lucky people i love a bath tub wow looks nice one to Lance is a very had worker he is so talented every thing he does and your cutting the timber is fantastic Cinda i love that porch wow nice
Yes, we would have had to get a lot of help to move that tub, it weighs well over 500 pounds! Not everyone has had a crane In their house!😂😂😁Nice that you have some roots here in Arkansas. 😊👍
We have a couple chairs, but keeping our eyes open for some sturdy rockers. A porch just NEEDS rocking chairs!😂 we probably won’t build them ourselves though, we’ve got too many things on our list already😂😂
Hello you two! That looks very good again. Now a table and a bench for the terrace, and dinner can be served 👍. Lance, you've used half a box of screws again, so this has to hold up. Good work👌. Best regards from Hans and Cheers 🍻🇦🇹.
The porch looks wonderful - and inviting. So do the worktops! I hope you got that bath levelled (if it needed it) for draining away. You two are just an inspiration - great reilience and determination and skill. Cinda's milling skills are boundless. God continue to bless you with robust health and length of days.
Thanks Jim! Yes the tub bottom was actually level when we checked it. The top edge was made on a slant, I’m not sure why😂 But it drains just fine. We are super happy to get the porch done! Going to build a side deck also for a eating and barbecue area, and then bring in some good dirt and do some landscaping. 😊👍
@@natureartgirl will be great to see it all developing. So jealous of your being able to sit out so much. Make the most of it and enjoy all God’s good gifts.
Hey this couple is doing a fantastic job on this log cabin!! Looks like they are doing every thing up to par !?! No I've never built a log cabin... but I have watched a plenty of them being built so far here on you tube. I AM impressed with this one. * These two seem to work together pretty good with complete cooperation with each other. * She MUST be eager to get this cabin up & running cause she "giggles" a LOT... HA!! 🤣
I love everything you and Cinda have done. But when it comes to steps I love them when they go all the way across the front deck. You two are amazing. Love to you both. Vicki Australia.
You must not be out far enough to where you don't have water and electricity that's pretty nice it's not really roughing it but it is getting away when you get out in the woods like that I was beginning to wonder if you were ever going to put a front porch on that cabin but that's fine a lot of people do it right away and I guess a lot of people take their time good job looks real good
Yes, we are only 12 miles from Hot Springs. We have been anxious to build the porch, but took a while to get all the wood milled. We have too many other things going on. Hard to know what to do first! But for sure had to get the tub in so we could use the crane. Couldn’t do that after the porch was built!😊👍
I binged watched all 39 of your videos, thus far and I have enjoyed all the work you have accomplished so far. In addition, your humor is so enjoyable. I look forward to watching each videos as they get released, The both of you and your dogs are absolutely wonderful to watch.
Great work Lance and Cinda as always! Porch looks fantastic. I watch a few cabin build and homestead channels and people have all sorts of tools and systems to help overcome the problems that can come along but no-one has anything like your Puffing Billy. What a huge time and labour-saver that machine is - incredibly versatile! Congratulations from here in rainy London England on the continuing achievements and reaching another landmark stage in the cabin build. Inspiring and educational at the same time.
Howdy y’all- porch looks great! Yeah, this new stuff doesn’t last all that well so I’m using post oak and red cedar more for the porches. I’m sure what you’ve done will hold up a long time. It’s great to have a sawmill. Enjoy the cooler weather. Take care and God bless
Yes the cedar is a good idea and it’s beautiful as well! We are running short in the finance department right now, so using what we have on hand. We may have to replace it later, but it should last a while. This weather has been great! It’s our favorite time of year! Hope you both are doing well! Take care!😊
@@natureartgirl I certainly understand what it is to be running thin with finances. I built our house on a shoestring budget. If you ever need red cedar, I deal with a sawmill that gets lots of cedar. It’s cut into cants and hauled out by the tractor trailer loads. Blessings to y’all
It lightens up a lot the first two weeks. They send you a sample and tell you to try it on your wood and wait a couple weeks to see the final color. It may lighten a little bit after that. Haven’t noticed too much more so far.
Thanks! The weather has been much nicer to work. Hope your build is going well. We didn’t get to watch your new video yet. Been working like slaves to get this finished while the weather is nice!
@@natureartgirl We have the same way. We had rainy weather for almost the whole of September, but this week the weather improved and we are at the construction site all the time. We wish you everything in time before the start of frost.
I have watched you guys from the beginning and I have to say CONGRATULATIONS on your commitment to a very hard project. Turned out so Beautiful you guys should be so Proud of yourselves. All Done!!!
Tell you what that little crane lift you have must been life saver for this log cabin build . I never see a crane like that before. Wondering if someone made build that crane
Hi, it is called an EZ-hauler. It is pretty old, but was made for drilling holes and setting poles. It also has an auger attachment. It is super handy!
Yes, some places are pretty strict about things. Our son moved to Florida and you can’t do the smallest thing without getting a permit and going through red tape. They are pretty strict here about water run off if you do any excavation work. But not too crazy in other departments. 😊
I would have painted that metal trim the same color as the wall. Is there going to be any railing around the porch or are you leaving it open? Now you guys need a couple rocking chairs, maybe one of those porch swings? It's looking real good.
We haven’t decided on the railing yet. Probably put up a handrail for one side of the stairs at least. But we kind of are leaning to leaving it open. We are bringing in some dirt and landscaping on the low side. Then we will see how it looks.
It is a form of boric acid called solubor. We have a lot of wood boring insects here and it is a relatively safe way to kill them. It only affects bugs that eat the wood. We diluted it in water and sprayed all our logs, but we didn’t want these boards to warp, so put it on dry. It also helps to prevent wood rot.
I think the brand was American standard. Lowe’s sells them. It was no problem to install, we just followed the directions. It is MUCH easier to keep clean since there are not so many places to catch dirt. We love it! (As much as you can love a toilet!😜🤣)
It is an EZ-hauler 2500. It’s pretty old. I don’t know if they still make them. But you can probably find something similar. It is made for angering out holes and setting poles. Like telephone poles or electrical poles.

So true! We thought we were going to have to recruit some help for that job, but ended up working pretty well😊

Looking outstanding! Lance what was that powder you put on one of the planks for the water heater house?

We diluted it in water and sprayed all our logs, but we didn’t want these boards to warp, so put it on dry. It also helps to prevent wood rot.
