Wow Crystal, I thought I was the only one I knew that didn’t like to leave their town or their home. Many people get upset with me because I’ve become a hermit I guess, but I live in a valley in a very rural part of WV. My home is surrounded on all 4 sides by mountains & I joke & tell everyone I live in a big bowl in WV…😂 Because there are no craft stores within about 90 minutes from where I live I buy all my yarn online & because I have a very tight budget all my yarn is inexpensive & what’s on sale. Your yarn videos do help me to know which of the inexpensive yarns are the best. Thanx again for all your help ❤
The beauty of your critiques is that, in my experiences, your descriptions about weight, texture, softness, etc are reliable. The bonus is that you share information about prices ,availability, and the best places to get it. Keep it up! ❤
When I was very young, my mom worked at an Import warehouse in NY. She said all companies bought from the same manufacturer. Her job was to put the company's label inside the garments for the amount of garments one company purchased. One item had multiple "name brands" but they all were imported from the same manufacturer. It is how it works. It all comes down to - prices, availability, CUSTOMER SERVICE. And of course the mindset of people who think the BRAND name makes a difference. 😂😂 Love your reviews. I learn more about yarn types, texture, prices, and more. Thank you ❤
Are you able to do a video telling us what yarns on Ice yarns are dupes for other ones? For example mandala yarn = this one from ice. Etc. that would be awesome!
Just wanted you to know that after I watched this, I went to the iceyarns website and bought a total of 16 balls of baby alpaca/merino wool mix for 15.98 and paid 17.95 shipping for a total of 33.93 and my mind is BLOWN. I had to keep checking the listing because it says almost 273 yards per ball, which seems incredible to me and seems to good to be true! Currently, this is the only place I plan on buying yarn from now on. I can't really believe it. I will have to wait and see how this yarn feels, but I'm looking forward to either a shawl or a poncho, one or the other. And I will use one of your patterns. If I have enough, I will also make a hat for one of my sons, or all 3 of them we'll see - and I will use one of your patterns.
Crystal, I , too, do not leave my cabin. If I can help it. I totally understand that part of you. It’s my safe zone. My happy place. And my yarn also is all I need to be happy. lol it’s nice to hear you say that you don’t want to leave your room. Totallyyyy get it. ❤❤❤
One of my favorite yarn stores is Expression Fibre Arts out of North Carolina. Chandi has beautiful, luxurious yarn bases but where she outshines all others is her hand dying skills. Her stuff is not cheap, but really, really extraordinary and well worth the cost in my opinion.
I am currently working on a shawl (bird of the night) with a stenli cake that I bought after you recommended and showed some Pleta/Stenli yarns and I ADORE it! Since I'm in Europe the shipping isn't that much for me, so it's quite affordable. And I think I love it more than ICE. So for me (again, a European) currently it's Pleta on 1 and ICE on 2. And I don't think I would ever have learned of the existence of either webstore if it wasn't for this channel so thank you for enabling!
Love Ice yarn. Mosaic and Magic light are great. Puzzle worsted is a soft wool blend. I have Picaso in 4 or five colour ways. I keep looking for the different ways but now they are never in stock. They do have weekly picks were you save a little on some colours. I now play with my cart until I get shipping down to less than the cost of the yarn. So glad you introduced me to ICE YARNS. LOVE FROM CANADA DENISE
Joann was my best friend for a while there in December and January- she was texting me at least once, sometimes twice a day “Your order shipped” “Your order is out for delivery” “Your order has been delivered” She made me feel so popular!
Hi Crystal! Love this video! I agree with your assessment of every single one of your picks. What’s hysterically funny to me is that anyone would argue with the Queen of Best Yarn Deals! 🤣🤣🤣
YAY our top lists are almost identical. I agree that everyone is going to have different experiences when shopping. I've always had good shopping with Joann's but I've heard people say terrible things. I just live hearing you talk yarn and sometimes I end up getting a great deal on yarn that I would never have known about otherwise. So thank you for your opinions and experiences.😊😊
This was a fun video to watch. As you went through your favorites, I played a game trying to guess what your answers would be. I got 99 percent. Knit Picks surprised me. I love watching all your videos.
Thanks Crystal, allot of people like to order online for allot of stuff. It's good you are giving people the best online stores for all kinds of yarn. My friend/lawyer is kind enough to order me yarn kits from Purl Soho. I also go to yarn stores in NYC to get yarn. If I want acrylic I go to my JoAnns. Our Michaels only has one isle of yarn. You always show us the best yarn at different price points. I don't do cards, so can't order online. Allot of the stores do UPS, FED-X. Purl sends USPS so, when he ordered on a Sunday the Speckled Hen, I thought great it's going to take days to come. Could not believe it, I got it on Friday. It's nice of him to order for me, like when I needed my new electric kettle that's not sold in stores here. He gets the money back from me.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! You have expanded my understanding of different yarns and stores. I never realized how many different ones there are. I enjoy listening to you talk and sharing your thoughts and talents! Hope you have a wonderful day!
Most of my stash comes from Mary Maxim, Michael's, and Hobbii. But recently, I've been shopping more at Herschner's due to their bagged deals. There's a trick to saving money at Hobbii... You join their Bingo or when they have their FB lives, and they usually give out a certain percentage off for either that day or a few days, and it's really a steal. I bought a membership to Herschner's to save extra money there, and will with Mary Maxim as well. I had bags and bags of Hobbii yarn for $150 for all those mega ball of yarns. I scored big time with that deal!
I love your videos! I am a fairly new subscriber, but I have come to rely on your yarn reviews and I often make purchases based on your review. Thank you for sharing your love of yarn with us!
Thanks Crystal for all the information of your favorite online yarn stores. Crystal you are wealthy of knowledge you are so awesome. Again Crystal thanks for sharing all the information. Have a wonderful day.♥️
Hi Crystal. Thank you so much for this video. I love that you share everything you know about yarn with us. Thank you for your wonderful presentation. We love you. A lot of Crocheters would not share their secrets with all of us, but you were so kind and so generous and willingly share all your talent with us that you are very very much loved and appreciated. Thank you so much for being who you are and blessings to you my dear Crystal we love you .❤
Hi sweet Crystal. Love your yarn talks and thanks to you we are know good costumers of Ice. It is just as you say. Great prices even after shipping. ❤️🥰
I'm in the uk and I'm always so envious that you have so many places to get yarn. I mainly use Lovecrafts and Wool Warehouse, but I also go to Vilrita in Lithuania for their Alize yarns and Yarn Art cakes. I do use Hobbii if I'm feeling flush with money, but like you I refuse to pay full price. Love your videos Crystal, you make me happy with your enthusiasm and positivity. Thank you ❤
And thank u Crystal for educating us on this because of u I finally have me some picaso rainbow yarn, I just don't know what I want to make with it yet and idk if I want to even mess with it lol I finally got it so I'll probably let it set pretty on my shelf for a while because I want to make something special with it.❤.
Good morning! Love the comparisons. It may not matter to lots of folks but I love receiving Herrschner's and Mary Maxim catalogs in the mail. They jump start ideas and bring new yarns to my attention. I find them easier on my eyes than the laptop. I use online because I live in a rural area and it's nice to have the choices! Have a fabulous today!!
I loved this honest review for yarn shopping. It's so helpful for us. I do want to order from Ice, i think the only reason i hesitate is because i have to put out a lot of money up front to get the yarn cheaper. If i could just stop buying yarn for 6 months 😜 and save my yarn budget, i could TOTALLY do it because it is so much cheaper!! I would love to split an order with someone, but no one in my life is a Yarnie! ☹️ Thx for this video, Crystal. 😊👍🧶
Thank you for all your informative videos. I made the mistake of getting some Ice eyelash yarn from Amazon. Thanks to you lesson learned. Never again. Absolutely correct what I paid for 2 balls from Amazon I could’ve got 8 from Ice directly and that includes shipping cost.
Hi Crystal, I think you will probably find that a lot of the people saying about yarn being too expensive, are on a fixed income and the only way that they can continue doing the thing that they love, is to only buy the value price yarns. Yes, the prices at Ice are great, but unless you have the money to place a large order, the shipping takes it out of your affordability range, I saved for a long time to be able to place an Ice order and over half of it I couldn't use because they weren't the yarn weight that they said they were, I can't use anything under a 3weight or over a thin 5weight and so much of it was a 1-2weight. So, I can fully understand those people on fixed incomes saying that something that others think is an ok price, is expensive for them. Please don't take it personally, they just mean that it is expensive for them. I love watching all your unboxings and seeing all the different yarns available, even though I know unless something big happens in my life, I will never be able to buy them. I will never get off disability and the only way to continue with something that I taught myself how to do over 40 years ago, is to buy budget yarns, but I'm ok with that, it is what it is. You are lucky in the US, you have a lot of places to choose from, a lot of the yarns aren't available internationally and those that are, are much more expensive than they are in the US, we do have a few online shops popping up that sell end of line yarn and the ones that have manufacturing errors so that helps. Before anybody jumps in defending Crystal and telling me that I am being nasty, I AM NOT BEING HORRIBLE, Crystal said that she doesn't understand how people can say that certain yarns are expensive, I am just explaining the most likely reason behind it. At the end of the day, she has said may times that she gives a lot of her yarn away too neighbours who can't afford to buy it, many of the people making these comments are probably in the same situation. Thanks for all the videos, Crystal, take care xx
I apologize, I should have stated... a lot of people will say they want to use a Stenli cake but can't afford it and will just have to use a Hobbii cake instead. Those are the people that I don't understand. Of course I know many can not buy Stenli yarn, and after I posted my video, I realized I should have rephrased that part to include the buying the Hobbii style cake for $30 instead.
Thanks for the reply Crystal, I get what you mean about the Hobbii prices, they do have some nice yarn, but I really don't know how they can justify their prices, needless to say, I don't buy from there. It doesn't stop me from looking to see what they have, as I said, I enjoy seeing al the different yarns. You are right about the Stenli yarn being just the same for half the price and anybody willing to pay the Hobbii price rather than the price of the Stenli must be mad, let's face it, in this day and age, we all have to tug a bit harder on the purse strings!! Thanks again, take care xxx❤
I appreciate you Crystal. Thank you for sharing your store/yarn knowledge with us. You have opened up an entire new world of yarn for me that I never would have heard of if not for you 😊👍
Yes to Wool Warehouse. And if they are sold out on an item I get it from Lovecraft. I have to rely on shopping online as I live in a rural town. Spotlight is 1hr away and their yarn aisle keeps getting smaller. We have Big W and Kmart but I have to order on line as they don't have yarn in country stores that are 1hr away. It's cheaper for me to pay shipping then paying for petrol. I pay the same postage cost as Wool Warehouse but I get a better variety to order. $14 for shipping which is exactly the same for me to buy within Australia
My post is very similar to yours. It's a 4 hour round trip from my little town to the nearest Spotlight or Lincraft store! Online is definitely the way to go.
Any Canadians here? Use mostly arcrylic & Walmart seems to be the best place… free shipping for orders $35+. The downside is that they have minimums & maximum per orders. So if I want to buy a large quantity for a bigger project or for project orders, I have to buy in smaller quantities and add some extra of a different colour. Which actually might not be bad…? If you do curbside pickup, there's a $5 order fulfillment fee. It usually comes in a week.
Thank you for your input and opinion. I always enjoy hearing about yarn stores. I have been to the sticks and bricks WEBS store in Massachusetts and they have a warehouse in the back of the store where the skeins are only a couple of dollars a piece...yarn heaven LOL.
That sounds amazing! Herschnnerr's has a backroom where they have super cheap mill ends. They are in Wisconsin. I've been one time so far but it was also amazing.
Loved this video. Never thought about Walmart online! I love Ice, I just never am never sure about the comparable yarns. Like if I have a yarn I’ve purchased in from other companies, like Puzzle, the Premier Anti-piling, etc I don’t know which one is the equivalent at Ice. I only know a few.I do still find the Website a little harder to manage, but I’m getting better, but you’ve helped with that.
Thank you so much for you insights. There are some of these I haven't yet tried, but most I have tried because of your wonderful yarn unboxings. I absolutely Love everything I have purchased based on what I've seen you open. My stash is ever growing (I'm going to be donating or selling off some of the stuff I have that I have no plans for) but I can't help it. I absolutely LOVE buying yarn.
I'm lucky enough to have 2 really good JoAnn's stores near me (within 10 miles).. My online favorite is Little Knits -- that I learned about from you. Thank you
Yay!!❤ so happy you posted a video today... I was going through withdrawl and missing seeing one of your videos. 😊 thank you so much for sharing this info. Your videos with yarn hauls have helped me alot to know which stores to buy at and yarns to get. Since I deal with chronic health issues- chronic pain and fatigue, I rarely goto the stores anymore because I am too tired and/or in pain or its too far. ❤😊
Very interesting video. Thank you! Being from Canada, I think our shipping is outrageous but that being said - when you consider how far away Turkey is - I guess Ice Yarns shipping is not that bad. ( can’t argue it - if it’s what the postal service charges.)I buy from Michael’s store but the prices are higher just because of the exchange in Canada. I appreciate your list - I will go look at some of them now. Bottom line - I want more yarn 🧶😂
@@maryanderson-r5l thank you. I have some medications that are helping, now I just need to get my fatigue under control and continue to manage my pain. I hope you feel better as well.
I was so surprised that Wool Warehouse wasn’t your #1, but then I remembered your past explanations of how inexpensive Ice yarn is even with the high shipping costs. I really like how you break that down. You have definitely sold me to try Ice yarns. With the amount of yarn I buy when I do buy yarn, I believe it would be cheaper to buy from them. Thanks for all you do to give us the best information. Thanks for sharing this video with us. Have a great week.
Thank you Crystal. I also live in the boonies 😅. My closest city where I can buy yarn, except of a Wal-Mart store, is over an our drive. Walmart is about 45 minutes. So I always try to figure out which is the best online store for me to buy yarn. Very informative video. Thank so much 💖 ❤
Even in cities it has become harder to shop for yarn and living in a small apartment l have no room for my stash and accessories so yarn has become an online thing for many of us.
Two thumbs~up 👍🏻👍🏻. I agree with you. I placed an Ice Yarn order last week it was close to 💲3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ dollars, and my yarns averaged around 💲2️⃣.5️⃣0️⃣ a skein... Again. 👍🏻👍🏻 on this review.
Hi Crystal. Thank you so much for what you do. I greatly appreciate all of your insights. You do not need to apologize for your opinion. That's why it's your opinion. Let the naysayers live in their own misery. It my be a boost to you and your fans if you don't even entertain the thought that there are critics. If there is an attacking negative comment, delete it. You don't need to explain yourself. You are well loved. ❤
I agree with the pricing on Hobbii - but they have great price discounts on lots of yarns every week. I don't buy it unless it is on sale, but it's frequently on sale.
But I'll add some other relatively small stores that nobody probably heard of unless you're local to the area... Makit Takit from Nebraska... they have beautiful yarn and look like they have fun dying the yarn. And it smells so good when you get it. Another one? Dances With Wool from Virginia. And finally... Pufflower... That's where I go.
Thanks so much for sharing this great information with us!! I have agoraphobia, so I never leave the house. I will also not be ordering any more kits. I know the yarns I love and will be ordering from some of your favs. No need for kits now that I have found you and am loving making blankets from all the new stitches you have taught me. Love you Crystal, Mary in MI.
I recently fell in love with ice yarns. I'm still looking for their version of latte cakes, but I've loved everything I've gotten from them. I average less than $3/skein and you just can't beat that. Plus it's delivered quicker than any other company I've dealt with.
Joann has afforded me some killer deals of late. Usually buy in bulk from Herrschner’s, kits from Mary Maxim, Premier when they have discounts but Little Knits stole my heart with their stunning prices on Malabrigo and Noro!
Thanks for the review! I, recently, had a bad experience with Yarnspirations. I ordered about $68. bucks worth of yarn from them and had to wait 3 weeks to get it! 😧. Yes, it was during the holidays and they said there would be a delay, but 3 weeks? I'm used to Amazon getting my yarn to me in a week or less. Since I don't drive and my health is not what it used to be, I almost always order online. I'm working on a granny square cardigan sweater, at this time.
Thanks to you I have tried Wool Warehouse. I fell in love with a wool blend they offered. I will be blending and spinning to make a similar yarn 😂 My favorite stores on line are Lion Brand and Premier. There are wonderful small yarn stores that I love to go to when I can.
Crystal, I and I'm sure a whole load more people value, appreciate and look forward to hearing what you think. Thanks for your MANY videos. I wish you would have added a few favorite Canadian yarn stores..........oh well you turned me onto Mary Maxim and that is awesome for me. Working on a few of your projects which I hope to post on FB soon so you can see them. Love Ya yarn buddy!!
Several the same as you. Though maybe will give Mary maxims a try. Haven’t tried ice yet. I’m also like you in that i wait for sales, and buy in multipacks.
Mary Maxim is wonderful. Made recent purchases, 1 was a sock yarn mystery box and a Christmas crochet kit(placed order in January). Christmas kit was on back order. Me, being slightly impatient, contacted them 2nd week of February. Customer service was wonderful, although I was told my order was expected to ship mid March. Well, by the last week in February I received my back order!
Omg yes Crystal is so right about the ice yarn I had done a little house cleaning for someone and made a little money just so I could finally buy some yarn, I wanted picaso and I looked all over the net and they want an arm and a leg for that stuff, the cheapest I found in the US was an 8 pack for 35 so I went to ice yarn and guess what I got 4, 8 packs for 35 dollars and the shipping was only 27 dollars man what a deal so I got 32 balls of picaso rainbow for 35 dollars instead of 8 balls for 35 . It is way way way cheaper to buy straight from ice yarns ❤
Hi Crystal! Nothing new here, as I live in 🇬🇧 my go to yarn shop is the Wool Warehouse 😂 great choice, good prices and efficient, free delivery, what else do I need 😊
Thank you for the great review! I do buy a lot from Hobbii but only when it’s on sale. Mary Maxim is one of my favorites also but they’re behind on some kits being backordered! One of them yours!! 😂
Thanks for the review and yarn history. I also noticed the same yarns with different labels and prices. JoAnns, Michael's, Herschners. Hobby Lobby got rid of most of the yarns.😔
Hi Crystal, we do have a Mary Maxim store and warehouse here in Canada. It's in Paris, Ontario and I think it is the original Mary Maxim. They have an annual tent sale in August and I have gotten some amazing deals over the years. 🧶🇨🇦
Hi Crystal, great video. I’ve to agree with/you on Michael’s online, I hate it and you can’t filter out those third parties like you can on Walmart. Never bought from Hobium bcuz I wanted to purchase three Yarn Art cakes and the shipping was wayyy more than the cakes. Only buy from Hobbii when the yarn I want is on sale but I made my first purchase from ICE last year bcuz I was looking for a yarn that LB discontinued, and found it there, got to me quickly and tho years after it being discontinued, it worked out to be less expensive than LB’s. I’m definitely getting me some more and will be checking different yarns at ICE. Love MM & Herrschner’s. Also Premier is one I shop at often.
You really have helped me find great online stores and find the best prices for certain yarns. I’ve gone a little overboard this month but there’s nothing else I splurge on. As collecting goes, at least it’s functional 😊. I even found a great deal on malibrago, I think I spelled that right, a yarn I normally would never spend the $ on, but I check the list of stores for sales and this month has been lucky. It’s so much fun and I prefer lace and fingering weight but I make blankets too and need all the sizes. Your patterns have all been adaptable to lace weight so far as well. Michaels was my least favorite and 3 times now Joanne’s just took my delivery and shipped in like 8 shipments, sometimes a skein at a time. I assume it’s because there are different warehouses etc. The reimbursed me for yarns they never sent After I asked about them. So, just my experience but I live, I learn. I do love their yarns and prices so I’ll just shop at the store. My best experience was with lindehobby. So Ty for keeping me informed and I’m addicted to these unboxing videos. I get so excited for you. 😊
I buy mostly from Pleta because they're so nice, reasonably priced and within the EU you get free shipping if you spend 155 euro. I got enough yarn during black friday to keep me occupied for a year
Good Morning Crystal. I would think the critical, negative comments are coming from people who really don't have anything else to do. Otherwise all they have to do is simply stop watching that episode. I enjoy listening to your channel!
I don’t know why but when you were talking about the ICE Picasso yarn and said “Do I buy from resalers, of course I do.” I got so tickled! I would love a video on your favorite ICE yarns and yarns you’ve found from ICE that are the same as other companies.
This was a great video. I always learn something from you. And am about to order from one of your mentions that I’d never even heard of before. Thanks as always!
I didn't know you were like that and didn't like to leave your house. My mom is like that. Not like in a typical introvert way, but she is absolutely terrified to leave her house. I'm glad you are able to go out and do your antiquing and thrifting, landscaping and yarn shopping. My mom used to get out more but the older she gets the more secluded and if not for our kids going to visit with her once a week she would be completely alone. She had some dogs and a cat, but her cat passed away a few years ago and she just had to put one of her dogs down today.
Your lists don't come as a surprise. And I agree 100%. I need to check out the Ice yarn of Puzzle. Do you know the name at Ice? Love Puzzle! Great video.
I live in a rural area too. My closest stores are 45 minutes away. I go to my doctors in Reno Nevada about once a month so I do my yarn shopping at that time. I go to Michael’s , yes Caron Cakes that are on sale. If I shop on line I go to Herrschners yarn. Oh yeah Walmart on line I’ve gotten some good deals. Never tried JoAnn’s, but will.
I learned about ice yarns from you and they are so great! My last order from them averages out to $2 a ball. Thank you for your reviews, you have helped me learn so much about yarns and that has helped me find what I love to work with and what I don't, as well as the best places to find them. I agree that Mary Maxim has the absolute best kits and they will always send a coupon code. ❤❤❤
I have only bought yarn from Hobbii in the last couple of years. Bur only for a few reasons. I'm a little biased because my hubby is Danish and I LOVE Danisb yarns. 😂 I only buy their cotton yarns because they're so good and I use a lot of the 2 weight cotton, which is harder to find here in the states. They have some awesome sales on their cotton yarn. And I am kind of on a yarn diet because I have so much! 🤣
Thanks for the reviews of these yarn vendors. I bought from 3 of the ones you mentioned: Walmart, Ice, and Joann's. I did buy an etsy mystery box from a nice girl, but it wasn't a good deal.
As one of those people who asked for this video, THANK YOU!! I’m fairly new to the crochet world and really don’t know what’s out there. That’s why I asked. I hope you don’t get a lot of flak from the Negative Nellie’s. Again, thank you.
So far Joann’s has been my go to for every day yarn but I hope to try the other companies soon. I’m disabled and rarely get to a store in person so it’s awesome to know where others are ordering from 💜
Great vid with lots of good info. I buy from Michael’s and Mary Maxim. Absolutely love Mary Maxim as a company and their value yarns. Used to buy Premier but they’ve gotten too pricey. We need a site tour of Ice yarns. I never know how to find deals and don’t trust their categories when labeling a 4 weight vs a 3 or 2. Ice does have pretty yarns and I agree per ball it is very affordable.
Yes crystal i use to say for sure crystal is wrong in thinking that ice yarn are no good but i use to tell myself for sure you must have had a bad experience with them. Im glad that you changed your mind about them and i love it when compare iceyarns with other yarns as for me its easier to get it from ice than the US for example. The only down fall is that for some reason shipping to malta is more expensive that the US. That is so confusing as malta is much closer to turkey that the US.
Thank you, Crystal. You don’t need to apologize to me for a long video. I love hanging out with you talking about yarn and crochet.
Wow Crystal, I thought I was the only one I knew that didn’t like to leave their town or their home.
Many people get upset with me because I’ve become a hermit I guess, but I live in a valley in a very rural part of WV.
My home is surrounded on all 4 sides by mountains & I joke & tell everyone I live in a big bowl in WV…😂
Because there are no craft stores within about 90 minutes from where I live I buy all my yarn online & because I have a very tight budget all my yarn is inexpensive & what’s on sale.
Your yarn videos do help me to know which of the inexpensive yarns are the best.
Thanx again for all your help ❤

When I was very young, my mom worked at an Import warehouse in NY. She said all companies bought from the same manufacturer. Her job was to put the company's label inside the garments for the amount of garments one company purchased. One item had multiple "name brands" but they all were imported from the same manufacturer. It is how it works. It all comes down to - prices, availability, CUSTOMER SERVICE. And of course the mindset of people who think the BRAND name makes a difference. 😂😂 Love your reviews. Hi Crystal! Love this video! I agree with your assessment of every single one of your picks. What’s hysterically funny to me is that anyone would argue with the Queen of Best Yarn Deals! 🤣🤣🤣

My favourite online yarn shop is definitely the wool warehouse and the wool factory, both in the UK 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 xxx 💚 CFC
I just discovered Herschners during sale time and I agree it’s great. Ty for the advice! I’ll look into it.
Herschnerr's and Mary Maxim are my faves. GREAT customer service & deals; fast shipping. BIG hugs from Texas! 🤠🤠❣❣🤠🤠
Thank you so much for being who you are and blessings to you my dear Crystal we love you .❤
Thank you for sharing your favorite yarn stores. Have a wonderful day! ⚓️💙
Your experience with buying yarn is valuable. Thanks so much for sharing this information. 💜🥰
I'm in the UK and the wool warehouse is the bomb. Thank you for your fab video, as always Crystal x
Yes, their yarn is lovely. I wished I had discovered them before Britain left the EU. Now I do not buy there because of the custom taxes.
Ooh, thanks for the tip!
Thank you ❤
Love getting to hang out with You and All the awesome Yarney People in this group ❤
This is such a wonderful video, Crystal. It's well organized and well defended. As usual, you've demonstrated why you're such a great teacher.❤❤❤❤❤😂😂
Keep talking Crystal. We love listening to you. I don't have anyone to talk yarny goodness with either so your videos are a joy for me.😊
Good morning from Norway 🇳🇴
Hi rebmedina, Same here in Tassis. Spotlight is getting quiet expensive with the wool.
@@RosegarlandCreations when ever I visit spotlight they have less and less. It's disappointing
Thanks for sharing. Your comfy chair blanket looks gorgeous
Hi Crystal, Thanks for sharing your list of favorites and why you like them.
I 100% agree with you about Michaels’ site and the 3rd party vendors! Joanne is my favorite!
Thanks for sharing - nice to have more info to make good decisions
Oooohhhh, this is fun! I am still new enough to not try the small or upper end stores, but the more I learn, I will be visiting them!
Thank you Crystal!!! I've learned so much from you since I began watching a few years ago. You are truly an educator ❤
I recently feel in love with Herrschners, never heard of them until I binged watched your Yarn unboxing videos. Thanks for sharing!!
I appreciate the reviews. My world of yarn has greatly expanded since I found your channel!
Holy cow did I learn a lot from this! Thank you!
I love ordering from Ice yarns, Mary Maxim and Herrschners - thanks to you I heard of them. I will say I am hooked on MM and Her. Afghan kits. ❤
What is the approximate shipping cost from ice yarns?
Very interesting video. Thank you! Being from Canada, I think our shipping is outrageous but that being said - when you consider how far away Turkey is - I guess Ice Yarns shipping is not that bad. ( can’t argue it - if it’s what the postal service charges.)I buy from Michael’s store but the prices are higher just because of the exchange in Canada. I appreciate your list - I will go look at some of them now. Bottom line - I want more yarn 🧶😂
Also housebound here....Hope you find some relief from your pain. Crystal always makes me smile!
I love Herrschners for their bag discounts, Mary Maxim for variegated in colors, Hobbii for awesome cakes and color combinations
It's fun trying to guess what makes your lists. So far I'm getting a lot correct!
Two thumbs~up 👍🏻👍🏻. I agree with you. I placed an Ice Yarn order last week it was close to 💲3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ dollars, and my yarns averaged around 💲2️⃣.5️⃣0️⃣ a skein... Again. 👍🏻👍🏻 on this review.
Thank you! And the timing of this was perfect for me. Appreciate you!
Awesome video Crystal glad to hear your favorite yarn sites to buy from. Some are mine too.
I have a lot of the same favorites you have for the same reasons. Good informational video.
May I ask what the wool blend is that you like from them?
@@katieduffy593 It is 50% merino wool and 50% alpaca.
Thank you, Crystal
Thank you so much Crystal
Yeah. It’s my happy place 😊
Thank you for your feedback it's very good to know I trust you word that's something I like from you take care❤
I got enough yarn during black friday to keep me occupied for a year
Crystal, I'm so glad I found you. Another very informative video. I just love being a yarn geek with you 😂❤
Good Morning Crystal.
Thank you!!! When you see free shipping - you are paying jacked up prices that include shipping😁 I usually buy overseas from Ice or Wool Warehouse.
This was a great video. I always learn something from you. And am about to order from one of your mentions that I’d never even heard of before. Thanks as always!
I love Ice Yarns. You are right, Crystal. The high shipping but the low cost of their yarns works out to be inexpensive. I love their macramé yarns.
I've ordered from ice yarn three times and each time it was cheaper than buying stuff locally
Halfway done with my first hat using one of your kid tutorials 🎉 what a great thing to watch as I break for the night
