    What I appreciate most about your images is the fact that you did not add a running commentary and / or music. You let the subjects - volcanoes - "speak" for themselves. The camerawork is "pleasing to the eye - and that is putting it mildly. Thank you.

      as someone who will study to be a volcanologist here is some advice:
      DO NOT GO CLOSE TO THE CRATER.
      DO NOT GET WAY TOO CLOSE TO THE VOLCANO
      (Experts do their work from a helicopter or ground.)

    Isn't that Barujari? Mt. Rinjani, along with Mt. Samalas collapsed and gave birth to that tiny volcano in the caldera (which is the remnants of the 2 larger volcanoes).

    • @sjeason
      @sjeason 4 роки тому

      yamisoaegyeo Well yes but technically it’s the same system of magma feeding the volcano so all it is just Mount Rinjani rebuilding itself, like how Anak Krakatau is technically the same volcano as the original Krakatoa system rebuilding itself (Till December 2018 of course)

    • @yamisoaegyeo
      @yamisoaegyeo 4 роки тому

      @@sjeason yah, I get that part. But I think the name is for the "mountain" because it looks different despite having the same magma chamber underneath. Thank you though:)

    • @sjeason
      @sjeason 4 роки тому

      yamisoaegyeo Also isn’t Mount Samalas still there? Just that it’s inactive and it’s western slope collapsed into the caldera when Rinjani destroyed itself? Not sure about that so

    • @yamisoaegyeo
      @yamisoaegyeo 4 роки тому

      @@sjeason I honestly don't know how the experts view it, but imo, both samalas and rinjani would be way higher than the highest peak of the caldera (which is a shared base for the 2 ancient volcanoes) and to call Barujari as Samalas/Rinjani would be calling it as something that doesn't exist anymore despite having the base. It is a new structure that was born because of the collapse of 2 supervolcanoes.

    Nice Video, but before you post something... Check your sources, thats Mount Barujari Inside the Mount samalas Caldera... Mt. Rinjani is right next to it but is fed by a different magmachamber, making it a completely separate volcano all together!

      bouteille d'eau 1 Both the entire volcanic complex - with its massive crater, its lake and the Barujari cone within the caldera,-and the highest peak of the crater rim are called Rinjani. Samalas is used as the name of the older, higher volcano before the massive 13th c. eruption changed the face of it and was then called Rinjani. Ive also read papers of academics referring to Burijani as Samalas but I believe they are in error. Nobody on Lombok refers to the smaller cone within the Rinjani complex (Burijani) as Samalis. It’s all very confusing and it took me days on and around Rinjani to figure it out. Many of the volcano guides and park staff couldn’t even agree!

      HISTORY OF MOUNTAIN SAMALAS LOMBOK INDUK FROM MOUNTAIN RINJANI THAT CLOSED THE WORLD'S OLD ERA
      @redaksi_liputanusa
      July 31, 2018
      Gunug samalas lombok
      THEMANDALIKA - Samalas volcano eruption is the researchers' answer to the mystery of 1258.
      In-depth research continues to be done until cone on the mountain in Indonesia which is not so well known by Indonesians, especially Lombok in general.
      Written on a paper written by 15 world Mount Merapi experts including Indonesian biologists.
      Searching is not only done through Full -ologological stratigraphic and geomorphological data, dating of carbon radios and so on, but also doing written searches through ancient manuscripts about the history of Lombok until it is found BABAD LOMBOK.
      The eruption of the mountain samalas lombok
      Mount Samalas is the largest mountain in Indonesia in the year 1250 which is the mother of Mount Rinjani.
      The history of Mount Samalas can be found in ancient books of the Babad Lombok Inscription that tell how big the eruption of Samalas Mountain in Lombok.
      This ancient book of Babad Lombok is in the form of Lontar leaves and is still neatly stored in the West Nusa Tenggara Museum. However, in this article the author's name is not or not written. However, according to research from the British Lead Universe, the writer is RADEN WIRENAME from a writer in Pringgabaya East Lombok.
      The Babad Lombok Ancient Manuscript tells the story of the samalas eruption which occurred for 7 consecutive days, also written as a result of the samalas eruption, namely the collapse of two large lombok kingdoms, the awesomeness that marked the end of the ancient era of Sasak and entered a new era.
      Asala Mula Samalas name originates from the Babad Lombok inscription.
      Segara anak rinjani
      Segara Anak is a vast caldera in the Gunung Rinjani complex believed to be the trail location of Mount Samalas Purba, the eruption of Mount Samalas not only leaves a vast caldera Segara Anak but also forms a new volcano named Gunung Baru Jari.
      Mount Krakatau and Mount Tambora still enter the biggest volcanic eruption in Indonesia, what if compared with the Samala volcanic eruption in Lombok.
      ERROR OF THE KRAKATAU MOUNTAIN
      - Erupted in 1883
      (2/3 of Krakatoa collapsed and left a chain eruption).
      -36,417-120,000 Life Victims
      - 12 Million Tons of Sulfur to the Atmosphere
      - Cause Pulkanik Winter
      - Reducing temperatures throughout the world with an average of 1.2 degrees cc
      - Temperature is not normal for 5 years
      MOUNT OF TAMBORA MOUNTAIN
      - Erupted in 1815
      (Eruptions Heard to Sumatra Island)
      - 17,000 Life Victims
      -High Smoke Eruption More than 43 KM
      - Spewing 33 Km Cubic Material
      -Years without Summer in America and Europe.
      MOUNT OF MOUNTAIN SAMALAS
      -Meletus in 1257
      -The material is 40 Km Cubic stone and ash
      -The height of the smoke from the volcanic ash eruptions up to 40 km up
      - Eruptions Reaching two ice poles in the world Resulting in great hunger in Europe
      - Cold Weather All Year
      - Endless Rain Until Flood
      From the comparison the eruption can be concluded that Mount Samalas is the largest eruption in history in the world, and a mountain with an eruption that closed the ancient era in the world and which gave rise to a new era.
      This history is still considered by many people who do not know, because this history has been almost 200-300 years ago, and rarely found in books other than the ancient books of Babad Lombok.
      So much. Hopefully this historical article is useful and adds to your knowledge.
