I have a final today and I needed to use this program but I could never get it to work. Those last few steps of trusting the location and using file, open, then selecting PH stat were exactly what I needed. You came in clutch today! You advice still works on the most recent version

It also works just fine to make desktop a trusted location, then go to add ins, browse, and select it off your desktop.

Yes, you can make any directory, including the Desktop, a trusted location.

I downloaded the PHStat add-in Zip file by going to media.pearsoncmg.com/ph/esm/shared_statistics/phstats/cw/
There is a "new" version, 4.51 as of June 2020 that works with Excel 2019. If you have a textbook from Pearson or access to MyStatLab, you can enter your Pearson ID and PW and download PHStat for "free." If you do not have that free access, you can buy PHStat at that same link for $9.95. I think it is well worth the price.

Difficult to say why. This process worked for me when I had 3.5 and it works for the newer 4.1.
