BEST RARE Mercari Finds + Facebook Marketplace!!

I wanted to share with you some recent gems I found on Mercari - stay til the end because I saved the BEST for last! Also I made my first facebook marketplace transaction and it was a success! All thanks to Hector whose channel you can find here: / @thewickcollective
He's always finding the best stuff in his area so I was finally lucky enough to see a post not too far from me and got what I think was a pretty great deal on some hard to find candles!!

Wow Lizzy ! Cool retro haul! I’m glad for you to get some you wanted. I too love the holiday luminary cut out candles. I’ve bought a couple for my collection. Frosted spearmint and Christmas cider. I love how the theme has carried over through the years to match . Like the tree candle holder last Christmas that was bent over. So cute! Funny how we forget what we have. I’m nowhere near your collection amount . I’m still in the 250-300 . Been collecting for prob 3 years. It can get expensive buying older ones🤪 watching influencers gets me looking again lol tfs❤
@@Deb_C thank you! Yeah I don't usually come across many candles worth the price that I find "reasonable" and don't yet have in my collection so coming across the state and destination ones were a win in my book! 😄

Awesome haul! I've been checking out reselling sites as well and haven't found candles but a few holders. Mercari prices are now crazy with the increased shipping and extra fees. On Reddit, many sellers have reported random price adjustment deductions 😵
@@MeetMsMarie yeah mercari really needs to change their fee system back I do not see how sales have been good at all for them! As a seller I think I've definitely seen a decrease in sales 😒

@@EnglishProfStyle yeah it's probably for the best I don't have much luck around me so I try not to look too often. It was just happenstance this 1 jumped out at me and wasn't too far away! 😄
The buyer fees are insane! I have noticed a huge decline in sales, even pricing my items low! Even some items just a few bucks! But by the timr the buyer pays shipping, fees, tax, payment processing fee I mean, they are paying 10 times what I'm asking. Its not right. Ive been selling on facebook alot more recently for that reason. To do all that work to post the items for them not to sell? Annoying! Mercari needs to go back like it was. I could increase my price by 10% and pay the 10% fee myself and be done with it. All these extra fees for the buyer is wild to me
@@CeiraMayberry seriously I'd much prefer going back to seller fees to at least have buyers interested and buy! No one wants to pay $10-$20 in fees and shipping for a $10 item! I feel like mercari will change it back I don't see how their sales have increased with this at all!! 😠
I recently banned Mercari because all of the ridiculous fees and deducting extra shipping fees. They weren't willing to make things right. Oh well, good riddance.
@@slhines7 I hear ya the buyer fees are crazy! Makes no one want to buy on there! As a seller I'd rather have the seller fees we can build into out list price than have no buyers who end up paying $10-$20 for shipping and fees minimum! 😟
@@Hayesel83 Yeah, it seems like that platform has not changed for the better with their new direction. Good thing there's always Poshmark and eBay for finding good deals and/or hidden gems.
