Join us on the world-famous Glacier Express for the journey of a lifetime along the backbone of the Swiss Alps. We travel with the Brig-Visp-Zermatt, Furka-Oberalp and Rhaetian Railway companies from Zermatt to St. Moritz.
At Disentis, dominated by the huge Benedictine monastery, we make an end-on connection with the Rhaetian Railway whose line takes us through the majestic Rhine gorge. We leave the train to join a thrilling river-rafting expedition down the "Swiss Grand Canyon".
Before making a reversal at Chur we take the opportunity to explore the old city, capital of the region since Roman times. Our way now takes us along the impressive Albula line with its lofty viaducts and spiral tunnels. We make diversions to visit the Via Mala, the picturesque village of Bergün, and see some of the older steam and electric locos of the RhB in action.
Our journey ends at the world-famous resort of St. Moritz, sited in the beautiful Engadine valley, a fitting conclusion to our luxurious journey across Switzerland.
