Yes, Mitch, you ARE the queen.
During the SuperFruit years, Scott and Mitch were living together. But remember, Pentatonix began with The Trio: Scott, Mitch, and Kirstin. Kirstin is their oldest friend, so it was only natural for Mitch and Scott to invite her over for a relaxing evening. Just three old friends enjoying each other's company.
The evening began as so many relaxing evenings do, with a few drinks. Given who these particular old friends are, it was inevitable that there would be singing at some point, so Mitch and Scott had prepared - it was best that they adjourn to the studio for singing, so they wouldn't keep the neighbors awake. And since they were still partying, quite a few cocktails were being consumed between takes. And thus the trio proves that while their judgment is just as vulnerable to alcohol as is anyone else's, alcohol doesn't do a thing to their voices.
The blonde wig appears in so many SuperFruit videos that she's practically a character in her own right.
Either Kirstin or Mitch would absolutely ace it voicing any Disney princess. And I don't know about anyone else, but I'm extremely impressed with how quickly Mitch recovered from his giggling fit.
First rule of SuperFruit: If it's SuperFruit and it's funny, stick around after the obvious end for the blooper reel. It won't always be there, but when it is it's not to be missed.
In this blooper reel, the trio is playing a game they invented in high school; I'm told that many choir geeks come up with variations of the same game. The object of the game is to sing as far off key as possible, for as long as possible, without laughing. In this instance, Kirstin dropped out early when she couldn't control her laughter. But Scott was on a roll, and Mitch graciously conceded to him.

SUPERFRUIT has 2 whole EPs worth of music videos, as well as a bunch of "buddy" videos made while Scott and Mitch used to live together. But, at first, I'd recommend "Guy.EXE" and "The Promise".

Yes, PTX videos must be G rated, but Superfruit videos can be PG13. 😂 They don't go crazy or anything, but they have occasional adult drinks & they don't censor language so a couple of times there's a few curse words/adult topic lyrics when they cover rap/hip hop songs.

For several years Superfruit was the side project of Mitch and Scott - I think it's one of the strengths of this group that they are given the freedom to pursue their own interests and solo careers as they want to, as long as PTX comes first. In the same vein (humorous makeup, etc) is Defying Gravity and Mitch is definitely the star; the man is amazing. As others have mentioned, they have a lot of videos to watch and usually they aren't acapella, which is a change. Guy.exe and The Promise are 2 of my fave music videos. I think The promise is the last one they did as Superfruit. I'll be watching for your reactions. :)

Oh PLEASE, PLEASE check out as much Superfruit as you can!! It's all great stuff. It's not all a capella, but it's really wonderful stuff and sometimes really funny.
Scott and Mitch began this side project in 2012-13 mostly because it was going to be just a vlog of weekly doings and it'd be easy to do, since they were roommates....but it morphed into sooo much more! There's duets together, singing with friends, full on videos and really creative pieces...and eventually they produced a full album, Future Friends 1 & 2. They ended it in 2019 when their sucesses finally meant they could rent or purchase their own homes.
Do Defying Gravity first ( a song from the Broadway play, Wicked- the story of the two main witches from The Wizard of Oz while they attended Wizarding and Witch academy together), Hip Hop Goes broadway, La La Land, Rise, Guy.EXE, Lost On You, Happy Little Pill, Future Friends, Goodbye From Lonely, 100 Ways to Dump a Date, and so much more fun!

"Rise". If you haven't already. Very important song. I know reactors like to go into a reaction cold, but I think reactors should know the back story first to really make the reaction more meaningful. Superfruit included a message to fans in video description for Rise, id urge you to read that before the reaction.

Oh my first super fruit video. Awesome! There a a number of funny ones like this but always mixed in is their talented voices. This shows off their creative sides. And there are some really good singing performances. Beyoncé and lady Gaga medleys and the promise was always one of my favorite songs when I was younger. Hope u enjoy them

Doesn't Kirstie make a great Disney princess? It's really too bad she was never picked out for that - her voice is perfect, and since her major in college (they year she attended) was in musical theater, she would have made a fantastic DP!
Mitch only broke character that one time in Let It Go, but he recovered quickly and then did the rest of song so completely seriously - until the little finger flip at the end!
The bit at the very end of the blooper reels is a game that dates back to the Trio's time in high school - the object was to see who could sing the worst without breaking up. I'm pretty sure Kirstie lost this round!
My vote for next Superfruit reaction is Defying Gravity - not only will Scott and especially Mitch knock you out, but the blonde wig makes a cameo appearance!

Super Fruit started as a vlog that Scott and Mitch started in 2013 when they were sharing an apartment. Most vlog episodes are just them chatting, doing comedy and UA-cam challenges, sometimes with guests; no music but usually still fun. Some vlog episodes, like this one, are musical. Since high school, they used to work up arrangements for voice and piano of current pop songs, and in some vlog episodes they will do a medley from a recent pop album, or an evolution of a pop singer, and usually record in a studio with Scott doing a piano arrangement. Then in 2016 Mitch and Scott got serious, wrote a bunch of songs and professionally recorded around a dozen of them, with full arrangements and production, releasing them in 2017 on two EPs, Future Friends Vol 1 & 2. They then recorded full music videos for almost all the songs on the album, with sets, costumes, dancers, etc. Most of their originals are pop with an EDM flavor. So there are two kinds of Super Fruit videos -- vlog episodes and "real" music videos. The vlog stopped by 2017, though Mitch and Scott did one more music video in 2019, a cover of When in Rome's "The Promise".

This is like me, my cousin. & my bestie when we were in jr high & hi school. We did stuff like that all the time! Lol! I'm always just dreading the news that Kirstin is leaving Ptx to work for Disney! 😂 She was in a broadway musical a few yrs ago called Kinky Boots (while Ptx was on a break between tours). My fav SF video is Guy.Exe. I also think you'd love Rise w/Scott, Mitch, & 3 other talented vocalists. I'm so happy to see you back doing Ptx again. (part of Ptx, that is! 😉) Love you guys!!!

As most have said, Defining Gravity is an absolute must. However, what not many people request is Superfruit and Tori Kelly mashup. It's very entertaining and off course has fabulous music. Hip hop goes Broadway 1 and 2 are both fun as well.

Nightbirde imparts a few pearls of wisdom that those who are facing an uncertain future should take to heart.

SuperFruit recommendations:
The Frozen medley is, of course, at the top of everyone's list, but it's obviously too late to recommend it. So:
• "GUY.EXE" (This one is an official video for a song on one of SuperFruit's two "Future Friends" albums, so it doesn't have a blooper reel, but its incredibly funny.)
• "Defying Gravity"
• "99 Ways to Ditch Your Date" (Not musical, but hilarious. And yes, it has a blooper reel.)
There are two SuperFruit songs that are dead serious. In 2016, after the massacre at Pulse (a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida), Mitch and Scott felt a strong need to respond. So they got together with three other singers: Brian Justin Crum, Mario Jose, and Mary Lambert, to sing a cover of Katy Perry's "Rise." All five singers are members of the LGBTQ+ community, and they were responding both on behalf of and for the benefit of that community. In their hands, "Rise" becomes a powerful anthem of self affirmation and empowerment. Be sure to read the complete description, where they dedicate the song.
The other serious SuperFruit song is "The Promise," featuring Adam Rippon. SuperFruit released it on February 14, 2019. It's gorgeous, and it's bittersweet, because this was their farewell to SuperFruit. It was the final SuperFruit post; they've both moved on to other things.

This was amazing! I can’t decide between defying gravity and Guy.exe, I think Defying gravity is a must!!! Pop goes Broadway is with Shoshanna Bean, who took over for Idina Menzel on Wicked…. So maybe the order should be Defying Gravity, Pop goes Broadway and then Guy.exe (which is an official music video for Superfruit).
