Great playing Jamey! The last time I saw Jeff live during the climax of Brush With The Blues he blew the smoke fuses on both Marshall heads simultaneously. I recorded the show on a little Zoom H1 and when I got home I timed how long he was down…52 seconds before his tech guy had him back up. The band kept playing while he was down and at the end of the song Jeff stepped up to the mic and said “ I’m very sorry about that ladies and gentleman but I seem to have blown up my amplifiers! “. I was lucky to see him 9 times starting with the Blow By Blow tour and got to meet him briefly for about 5 minutes in the mid 90’s. RIP !
Wow, thanks for sharing those stories and for the nice words! I got to see him back in 2007 and it had a major impact for sure.
