the performance from woodstock 99 would be fitting. Although I think the studio version is much better. But live is cool to see how insane that crowd was.
One of my favorite bands, thank you. Your next Korn reaction should be the song Blind but the live at Woodstock 99 version . Just an incredible performance.
What Korn makes so unique are the sounds that they are capable to get out of their guitars during the verse and the way Fieldy plays his bass guitar. No other rock/metal band plays it this way.
The video represents how we're constantly "dodging bullets" metaphorically speaking, and the constant anxiety of knowing it can all go badly wrong, but not knowing when or how
I knew who the lead singer was because of the video for Limp Bizcut “Break Stuff”. A lot of cameos in that video. Didn’t hear this song until about a year ago. Took me by surprise definitely not what I expected. I love the weird part before the breakdown and the hard vocals 😊🌽
Now you’ve arrived! The thing about Nu Metal is that wether you love it or hate it, NOTHING sounds like it. Each band that was conceived during inception of this genere is so unique and original to their own individual sound and is fuckimg brilliant. This song is so popular, but to me, Korn will always be “got the life” , as a teenager , stuck in traffic while this is blaring in my speakers played daily on KROQ. Korn will always be timeless, specially for the generation that grew up with it, as the voice of many kids that felt like outsiders , rejected and abused by society or at home. ❤️🔥🏴☠️ Coming Undone is a great song that gets overlooked and it’s a shame because it’s a fuckimg banger. Great reaction guys 🫶🏽
The song is actually about the music industry (They felt like they were on a leash being told what to do & what not to do) But they did help Limp Bizkit get a record deal
The video is mostly based on a mostly forgotten gun control PSA from the 1980's where the point of the PSA was that when you fire a gun you don't know where the bullet might end up. IIRC the original PSA ends right as the bullet fired at the beginning of the PSA is about to hit a child. I haven't actually seen the original in decades so my memory is a little hazy about it.
Great reaction. I haven't had your channel recommended since you were doing Ren reactions. You didn't scratch the surface with him so it'd be great to see you continue that journey. I'd recommend doing his newer releases as the ones you reacted to may have lost views from over exposure from other reactors. Glad you are doing Korn. Will stick around for them too. Other Artists I haven't seen you react to that you would enjoy and bring growth from the different fan bases are Billy Ellish and Radiohead. I hope you check them out. 😊
Hey guys!!! Loving your reaction channel. I just wanted to say I’ve seen your reactions to John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes. Can we please get more John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes. They both have a huge catalogue of music for you to react to!!!! Please!!! More John and Jimmy!!!
Loved your reaction. My favorite is BALL TONGUE. (There's a lyric video available, which you'll want). Please, please! If DADDY is recommended, don't do it UNTIL you've heard other songs by the band first.
Saw them live in Toronto in September. They killed it! The lyrics are a hit at the music industry/record labels. "A cheap fuck for me to lay.." is the most direct lyric to understand. The labels whore the band out, take all the profits and then demand more music. Like old school "sideshow attractions", they feel like they are a freak on a leash next to other displays like a man/mermaid, half woman half snake etc.. With each new display they're put on, it takes another part of them. The scatting breakdown part makes me think that he is embracing the freak, "ya you treat me like a freak, I'll show you freak" and he just goes nuts haha
On all that it was just the sign of the times and this is what was in demand and it met the mark as far as I am concerned. Else this particular song has ae very well thought and unique composition as well usage of techniques, choice of sound and placement and so forth. It's smart and I don't think I can name something quite like it that was pressed before it was. That at least is a consistent thing with this band. While staying in genre they are always trying to infuse something experimental and new into their tracks.
When asked about it John Davis called that beatbox scatt type thing "using the force" when watching the video don't forget these kids were trespassing yet somehow still represent innocence. The shot was accidental. The guard is agitated by these kids but is horrified when the gun goes off. We then follow the bullet and see how rash decisions have long standing repercussions. Eventually John stands in front of the bullet knowing that it was his music that was playing on that radio distracting the guard, starting this whole thing. He then ups his intensity, and instead of becoming a victim to the backlash he sent out, he sends it back out. this time it is the youth who stops it, not by deflecting but with benevolence.
Korn blind is great yes but Korn- daddy is one to check out its heavy in lyrics and the raw emotion of johnathan davis on it when they kept rolling the tape is powerful
Their first album let me know they were good, then they got the big record deal. Felt they would have been even better if they had more time in-between.
@7:00 its funny that you mention slipknot, because both Korn and them are apart of the "Nu-Metal" genre of rock. Once maybe harder than the other, but they're both from that same branch of the metal scene.
Yes more Korn...just DON'T REACT TO DADDY yet...you...you are not ready for that. That is a hard song to deal with emotionally especially if you know about it and if you know nothing, its a kick in the teeth instead of in the heart.
If you are going to go down the nu-metal rabbit hole, you have to check out Deftones - Change(in the house of flies) or Digital bath would be good starters.
Hi Guys you have to check out a brilliant young American Rock Band " Greata Van Fleet" they have been compared to Led Zepplin and you should check out there song"Highway Tune" Live in Toronto!!! This is a banger that will blow your socks off!!!
Falling away from me because this video and that tie into each other. Then in no order, Blind (the Woodstock 99 video), Got the Life, Thoughtless, Oildale, Twisted Transistor. Whatever you do, dont do Daddy without researching and preparing if you do decide to do it.
First time I saw Korn they opened for Megadeth in the summer of 95 I was 21 and I got kicked out of the show for body surfing to much like that's a thing right
You aren't wrong.... Korn gets much heavier than this. Both in the music style and the music content....... Especially the content. The lead singers name is Jonathan Davis. He was horribly sexually abused as a kid and it comes through in a great deal of his music. There is one track of his that I honestly won't listen to you I heard it once or twice and that is plenty. The song is just called Daddy and it is one of the most disturbing things that you will ever hear in your life.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT react to "Daddy" by korn until you have heard at least 10 other songs or you are going to react to their first full album! maybe check out "blind" by them the song that started the nu-metal movement ! plus the live version of it at woodstock 99 is worth a watch maybe react to studio/live version on same video...keep up the dope videos!
Falling Away From Me
Korn - Falling Away From Me is connected to this song. You should check that one out
Mmmmmm.... Korn. You may want to consider checking out Korn - Blind next.
Blind was the birth of NuMetal so yes, do the video of Blind for clean vocals follow w Woodstock 99 to watch 600,000 people lose it!
the performance from woodstock 99 would be fitting. Although I think the studio version is much better. But live is cool to see how insane that crowd was.
That came out when I was 18, I'd never really heard anything like that before. Went out and bought their cd the next day.
"Got The Life" another banger from Korn..
4:58 The definition of blue balls.
I absolutely love this song.
I've seen them several times they are amazing I saw them live 2 weeks ago in Tulsa
One of my favorite bands, thank you. Your next Korn reaction should be the song Blind but the live at Woodstock 99 version . Just an incredible performance.
Studio version of Blind and Shutes and Ladders....hell, just do the whole first album....you're welcome 🙏
🤘👽🤘
First album is definitely my favorite.
Korn covering Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall, this is a must see!
What Korn makes so unique are the sounds that they are capable to get out of their guitars during the verse and the way Fieldy plays his bass guitar. No other rock/metal band plays it this way.
You should check "Falling Away From Me", witch is basically the part 2 of this song
More Korn please! I think you guys will enjoy.
The video represents how we're constantly "dodging bullets" metaphorically speaking, and the constant anxiety of knowing it can all go badly wrong, but not knowing when or how
You guys are in for a good treat with this band they have a bunch of great music
You definitely need to do Blind live from Woodstock 1999.
Korn is top tier nu metal, you two definitely need to explore more
KoRn Kids represent ❤
Gotta do falling away from me next. Continues where this video leaves over and an amazing song.
Korn - Coming Undone
Now you’ve arrived!

Great reaction guys 🫶🏽
The song is actually about the music industry (They felt like they were on a leash being told what to do & what not to do)
But they did help Limp Bizkit get a record deal
We now forgive Korn for that.
you should listen to "Daddy" by Korn. Very fun and uplifting song

KORN, from my neck of the woods, BAKERSFIELD CA . they have influenced many bands with their sound, they were the OG' S.👍🍀
Right on Im eating korn on the kob watching Korn on the channel!
You both NEED to react to the 8yr old little girl doing Freak on a Leash. You BOTH WILL NOT be disappointed.
Great reaction. I haven't had your channel recommended since you were doing Ren reactions. You didn't scratch the surface with him so it'd be great to see you continue that journey. Korn - Blind (LIVE @ Woodstock 99)
Just another timeless masterpiece from these guys.
X-Men was top tier

Korn has a huge catalog of great music
Falling away from me should be next, good reaction 😃
Korn .Here To Stay.
Hypocrite by Mourning Lotus! I know it's not Korn but it's my band and we're established out of NC.
Saw them live in Toronto in September. They killed it!

9:06 One of the sickest breakdowns ever
Blind is a really great song! Live is great and the studio is perfect
Korn blind is great yes but Korn- daddy is one to check out its heavy in lyrics and the raw emotion of johnathan davis on it when they kept rolling the tape is powerful
omg the pause.....you say good spot, we all SCREAM....NOOOOO THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME lmao 😂😂😂 Peoples first listen of this one is always a trip😂
If you want to see them fuse nu metal and hip hop, check out their collaborations with Ice Cube, Xzibit and Notorious BIG
Korn's "Daddy" is a helluva crucial, but also helluva difficult lyrics video, for anyone to react to, but their live video . . . Damn
No...just, no
I don’t think they are ready for that!
there ready for it a must reaction after blind
Y'all are young as hell. I was in my 4th year of college when this song came out! 😂
Korn - Start the healing
Enough said.
Definitely in the top 10 metal bass riffs.
They did a version of this song for MTV Unplugged with Amy Lee of Evanescence. Please check it out sometime, it's incredible.
Twisted transistor by Korn has a fun surprise for you
Faith No More comes to mind with the rap rock "Epic"
This is KORN's best tune. Their 2nd best song/hit is A.D.I.D.A.S. IMO.
Yes more Korn...just DON'T REACT TO DADDY yet...you...you are not ready for that. That is a hard song to deal with emotionally especially if you know about it and if you know nothing, its a kick in the teeth instead of in the heart.
Korn - Thougless (offical music video)
Yes
Did my time is my all time favourite
Check out Somebody Someone. The breakdown on that one hits like a truck.
Love when they guest starred on South Park.
Maybe you should check Mr Bungle. Korn was a huge fan of them.
If you are going to go down the nu-metal rabbit hole, you have to check out Deftones - Change(in the house of flies) or Digital bath would be good starters.
If you want more context to this one falling away from me is the sequel. Must watch after this.
Follow up song falling away from me is the next one
I think in 2000, Korn won their first Grammy for this video
Its about music industry
One of the best video clips ever. Too bad they censured some of the lyrics.
Hi Guys you have to check out a brilliant young American Rock Band " Greata Van Fleet" they have been compared to Led Zepplin and you should check out there song"Highway Tune" Live in Toronto!!! This is a banger that will blow your socks off!!!
They're from the crappy Eastside of my hometown.
Next Korn Falling Away From Me
Trigger discipline.. every round lands somewhere, and your responsible.
Falling away from me because this video and that tie into each other. Then in no order, Blind (the Woodstock 99 video), Got the Life, Thoughtless, Oildale, Twisted Transistor. Whatever you do, dont do Daddy without researching and preparing if you do decide to do it.
Falling away from me!
This on that gym playlist lol
Korn - Daddy
If you really want to get emotional, listen to Daddy. It's not for the faint of heart. It's an emotionally heavy song. You have been warned.
Right Now music video ..... 😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈
Pls. do Daddy from the self titelt Album ❤
💯👍🕺❤️
First time I saw Korn they opened for Megadeth in the summer of 95 I was 21 and I got kicked out of the show for body surfing to much like that's a thing right
I've been to at least a dozen Korn shows the only band with better moshpits than Korn was Slayer
So the lesson we learned today is you don't know how old your cousin is.
"its a good pause there"....NO ITS NOT
You aren't wrong.... Korn gets much heavier than this. Both in the music style and the music content....... Especially the content. The lead singers name is Jonathan Davis.
