울림 엔터테인먼트가 내놓는 첫 번째 걸그룹으로 K-POP팬의 기대를 모으고 있는 러블리즈가 2014년11월 17일 데뷔 앨범 [Girls’ Invasion]을 발표하기에 앞서 선공개 싱글 ‘어제처럼 굿나잇’을 발표했다.
‘어제처럼 굿나잇’은 K-POP 뮤지션들에게 가장 존경받는 뮤지션 윤상을 중심으로 일렉트로니카 뮤지션SPACE COWBOY, DAVINK, East4A가 모여 결성한 것으로 화제를 모은 프로듀싱 팀 ‘OnePiece’가 세상에 처음 내놓는 발라드 트랙이다.
기라성 같은 뮤지션들이 모여 러블리즈의 선 공개곡 ‘어제처럼 굿나잇’에 집중한 것은 어른들의 발라드 음악이 아니라 소녀들의 발라드 음악을 만드는 것이었다. 세상에 발라드 음악은 흔하디 흔할 정도로 많지만 10대의 소녀가 느끼는 첫번째 이별에 대한 감정을 소리로 표현하려 노력했다. 그리고 가삿말을 위해서 김이나 작사가가 마침표를 찍었다.
특히 8명의 멤버 전원이 어우러진 러블리즈의 하모니는 첫 데뷔라고 상상하기 어려울 정도의 수준급 실력을 드러낸다.
그리고 DigiPedi가 만든 뮤직비디오에는 인피니트의 성규가 출연해 자신만의 존재감을 드러내며 러블리즈의 첫 데뷔를 응원해 주었다.
감정의 꾸밈 없이, 딱 또래의 소녀들이 느낄만한 감정으로 솔직하게 털어놓는 이별 이야기 ‘어제처럼 굿나잇’으로 러블리즈는 단단한 첫 걸음을 시작한다.
Lovelyz, the first girl group from Woollim Entertainment, has been drawing attention from K-POP fans all over the world. Before their first album release on Nov. 17th, Lovelyz is revealing pre-debut single "Good night like yesterday".
"Good night like yesterday" is a ballad track which was produced by 'OnePiece', a producer group of musicians that not only includes electronica musician SPACE COWBOY, DAVINK and East4A but also one of the most respected musician of all time, yoonsang.
The main focus of the these highly renowned musicians was to create a ballad track for girls, not adults. Among countless ballads around the world, "Good night like yesterday" tried to capture the first ever heart-break of the teenagers. To top this, Kim Ena has written such lyrics for the song.
The members of Lovelyz show off such harmony that it is almost unbelievable to think they are just debuting.
In addition to all these, SungKyu from Infinite has starred in a music video produced by DigiPedi to root for Lovelyz' debut.
Lovelyz is about to launch their first step with "Good night like yesterday", a story of heartache with nothing but emotions of girls of their age.

This song is proof, and I mean legit proof that all 8 members can sing. I seriously wonder why they don't release a song like this again... I'd listen to it all day with their natural voices. I mean listen to Jiae's lines, and Jisoo too. They sound so good here.

i cant believe some fans think this kind of music is "boring". yes, there are bad ballads that are actually boring and lifeless, but this song is far from that. it is one of the best kpop songs to have been created

I agree, I think they should have promoted this on music shows. They only performed 1 minute of this on music shows unlike Shooting Star (a song with the same vibe) which they sung in full version. Melody, vocally, and lyric wise this is undoubtedly their best.
Never forget how legendary this song is, a song that is cannot be easily covered by other groups.

This is still the best Lovelyz song for me. Everyone's vocals are on point and I for one cannot understand why their company keep reducing their vocal prowess to fit the cutesy innocent concept they've been doing since debut. There's a way to do these concepts without sacrificing the vocals (i.e. GFriend). Anyway, looking forward to their comeback. They must have learned a lot after joining Queendom.
they tried to switch to kind of sexy with their last release Obliviate but that song is a mess and sounds like a song 10 other groups had passed so it was given to Lovelyz.

며칠마다 한번씩 생각나서 듣고잡니다ㅎ
이게 10년전이라니...
뮤비의 내용을 해석해보자면
러블리즈 멤버 모두가 각자 꽃을 들고있거나 꽃으로 왕관을 만들어 쓰고있죠. 반면에 멤버 주변의 배경은 앙상한 나무나 가지들이 가득합니다. 그리고 멤버들의 조명이 밝았다가 빠르게 어두워지고, 그림자가 움직이며 점점 사진이나 사물들이 그림자에 덮이는 장면들을 보여주고있는데요.
배경은 차갑게 얼어붙은, 식물들이 모두 시든 겨울이며 이는 사랑이 식은 이별을 시사합니다. 멤버들은 시들지 않은 꽃을 들고 거기에 대입되어 차가운 겨울(이별) 을 인정하지 않으려고 하고있죠. 중간중간 꽃을 손으로 부수거나 밟는 장면은 멤버들의 마음이 깨지고 다친 장면을 의미합니다.
조명의 밝음(아침)과 어두움(밤) 그리고 그림자의 이동과 결국엔 그림자로 덮이는 장면은, 아침~밤으로 이동하는 시간의 흐름을 보여주는데요, 점점 어둠으로 추억들이 덮여지는 것으로 시간이 지나며 인정하긴 싫지만 이별이 다가오는 것을 막을 수 없는 것을 보여주고있는 것 같습니다.
이는 역시 가사와 밀접한 관련이 있는데, '어제처럼 굿나잇'의 가사는
"어제처럼 굿나잇 아무 일도 없던 것처럼
이별대신 굿나잇 내일 네 맘 바뀔지 몰라"
"미안하단 그 말 듣지 않은 얘기로할래"
처럼, 화자가 지금 순간에 이별을 맞고있지만 인정하지 않으려는 태도로, 내일이면 예전처럼 돌아올 거야라는 기대를 담은 내용입니다.
이별 (추운 겨울)을 받아들이지 못하는 화자 (멤버) 가 현실을 부정하고있지만 (시들지 않은 꽃을 들고있음)
마음이 다치고 (꽃을 밟거나 부숨) 시간이 흐름에 따라 (조명, 그림자의 변화) 결국엔 이별은 다가오고있고 어쩔 수 없구나를 느끼는 내용인 것 같네요.
정리:배경이 어두워지고 밝아지는건 아침~밤을 의미
이 노래의 바탕은 겨울의 이별
꽃을 들고 있는데 꽃을 밟거나 부수는건 그만큼 꽃처럼 시들어가고 마음에 상처가 많음 그러니까 겨울에 다가오는 이별을 부정하며 어제처럼 굿나잇
화관은 예수가 썼던 가시나무왕관이라 보시는게 좋습니다. 비약이지만, 구약성경이겠죠.

Best song of them. I was surprised during the live performance, I thought they would just stand or sit then sing this song but they used to dance it. And.... to add I was sad that they always been compared to other rookies (batch 2015). I may understand if they compete with Red velvet and mamamoo. And to those telling them they are flopped group, well winning no.1 in music show is not the only evidence to claim success. As long as people love their music and the members, it is already a success HWAITINGGGG!!!
Lovelyz is a great group, they take it slowly but surely ,if they don't win in any music shows doesn't mean they are not succesful. They don't need to win any music shows and get a PAK to say that they're talented we have an eyes to see their talent and ear to hear their beautiful voices.

this is actually pretty good! i disagree with those saying that "they're just another girl group" because usually girl groups come out with sexy, cute or try hard style, while lovelyz made their debut with a ballad type song. very different from what infinite comes out with bc they usually have songs with difficult choreography, but i doubt there will be any choreo with this song. it's actually quite refreshing to see a group like this, it's not common at all for a girl group with what, seven members to debut with a slow song with no rapping. will look forward to their future releases, amd hopefully these rumours about different members stop!

Everyone's saying they're another "typical" girl group. But if they do a concept that is similar to any other girl group out there then they're gonna be called copy cats, wannabes, try-hards, or the second whatever group it is. That's what's so annoying nowadays. Everyone doesn't want a typical group, but if they try something then they're compared to others =.=
Anyhow, I won't say I liked or disliked this song. It wasn't catchy but it didn't suck either. It's just a pre-release so the debut song could be something totally different. I'm still looking forward to these girls debut. FIGHTING LOVELYZ!!

I broke up with my bf just a few days ago and this reminds of my story more than ever. I tried my best not to cry too much and focus on my tasks, but when I listen to this song I bursted into tears.
