Yeah Ron, its great looking
predecimal Irish/British/Scottish banknotes are very nice
Yes indeed
Love those big notes. I hate the current money getting smaller with each series.
Me too, yeah the big notes are great looking however unpractical as they are, i love them.
@@Irishsilverstack I think back then men used real "briefcases" which they easily fit into. (And into the common ladies wallets and purses they still would fit today.)
I love popping over to Ireland. Bring back the £.

Did you know on the b £50 notes the instruments on the back of the note are made on one piece of timber no joints no not in carved out by hand and that bored is in St Michael's in Dublin nobody seems to know who carved the bordeau and that's where the picture came from on the back of the 50 B note Mark Maloney
Amazing, I didnt know about that Mark, do you collect as well?

I have the C series , including the 100 punt with Charles Stewart Parnell 1846-1891, like the video
Very Nice , I just to the Parnell couple of weeks ago at Auction. Hard not to find, i was on the look out for 3 years. How long have you been collecting?
3:01 Fiver note and a tenner series A but decimalised pound since 15th February 1971 is decimalisation of British and Irish pounds removing the penny shilling replacing pence instead of
Awesome
Yeah very cool, chat soon 👍🏻
Your thoughts on IRISH Code Letter Euro notes?
I don’t know enough about them, I know the certain codes are very sort after. I think the signature collecting on the older euro notes might be a thing to do ive a couple from the 5 and 10
How do i know if a have a real bill ?
The watermark is a big give away and also the smell. There aren’t many of these counterfeited and they are not that popular.
I have all the notes
Nice 👍🏻
@@Irishsilverstack hi could you tell me how much it costs to get the lady 1 pound note?
@@thomascurran4527 Hey, it really depends on the condition but anything from 21€ to higher
@@IrishsilverstackPunt it rhymes with a word that also rhymes with hunt
@@OscarOSullivan ahhh yes shunt
Is this legal tender in ireland??
No Ireland had the euro
Not since March 2002 and the pre 1971 notes and coins ceased to be in the 1970’s
Is more an trua nár midnight tú an Ghaeilge ar na nótaí.
