- What's up, people! I'm back with another ABBA reaction from their 1973 album Ring Ring, and this time we listen to "Love Isn't Easy (But It Sure Is Hard Enough)". This one was a bunch of fun, and I love the dialogue/two-sided approach to the lyrics. So join me for some more early ABBA that had me smiling throughout the song. Cheers!

I like this one. It sounds like it could be a theme to a TV sitcom about a married couple. And musically it's shows a little more sophistication and confidence in the songwriting.
Hello again, so happy to see you enjoy the first ABBA album in your ABBA Journey
"Love isn't easy" (1973)
among my favorites from the first album of the future ABBA
the contrast between the soft voice of the boys and the powerful irruption of the ladies is fantastic
I think that, although it may seem exaggerated, that great difference in tone between the voices is to emphasize the meaning of the lyrics:
men seduce and women resist
(the use of contrasts is a trademark of ABBA)
the melody is beautiful with a catchy chorus
this is some of the first ABBA songs that alternated verses between boys and girls
The video is very funny, on a tour of Denmark, a few months after Agnetha's postpartum time after her first motherhood

In my opinion, the first ABBA album (when they are still called 'Björn & Benny; Agnetha & Frida) is more even and better than the next album' Waterloo '
and ABBA finds its musical identity in the third album: 'ABBA', the basis of ABBA's best pop
great reaction, honest and correct, to a song that is difficult to appreciate, but that I really like
see you in the next

Thank you! I'm loving your insights and assistance with this deep-dive! And right on, I'll check that clip from Denmark after I finish posting videos this morning. :)
"Germinal?" That's a new word for me LOL
Bjorn and Frida are awesome on this song, Another good one of theirs is Why Did it Have To Be Me.
I just want to say that I really appreciate your ability to find the good in almost every genre or type of music you listen to. It goes to show you keep an open mind when it comes to music and can find elements of things to enjoy about them.
Thank you, Adam! Means a lot, and to answer your email, yes, I'll definitely react to that other song you sent me. Cheers.
Very similar to People Need Love in terms of the vocals. But you can see a progression with this track.
Hi there!
It is a very entertaining song because of the disagreements between the boys and the girls.
I agree 💯% with Eduardo Oscar 🇦🇷... the video is much more fun
See you soon
Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱👍
Yup fun early ABBA song and enjoyed the same things about as you.
Another, along the same lines only better IMO, is "Bang-a-boomerang"
Ring Ring was the clear hit, but could they find another song to follow up? It was never clear which song that should be so different tracks went on to be follow up 7":s everywhere. This song was only released in Denmark as one.
It's clearly a song written for all four, so probably wasn't planned for the abandoned solo album
I thought I heard a cat meowing. 😆😸
Oh you definitely did! My kitten Lucca is very vocal. 😸😹
@@mattsnider2667 😻I am a cat lover myself, and am very attentive to meows. Lol
Also.........ABBA has a song called "Tiger", which are cats of a bigger variety.😆🐯
For me this one together with 'Rock n roll band' and 'I saw it in the mirror' are the weakest songs of their vinyl debut album and my 3 only least fave songs of their whole discography out of about 100 songs.(Just my opinion).Neverthless ABBA is a neverending love for me.
