I have had 2 mileage 5.0’s and now have a low-ish mileage 2020 Cali special. My Gen 2 was @ 116k when it was traded in and it ran like a top. No tick, no rattle, no issues at all and still pulled strong. My girlfriends Gen 1 is @ 119k and runs even better than my Gen 2 did, trans is smooth, engine is silent. The only issues I’ve had were the usual water pumps with Gen 1/2 and she had the typical S197 resistor in the fan go out twice. My 2020 is… a mixed bag, it’s great when driving hard but the 10R is a fussy trans and the car has the tick, and the passenger window motor failed 3 times. Get a Gen 1 or 2 if you’re looking for a used one
Yeah 10r is a great transmission when pushed hard but can be quirky during regular driving. Software updates have made mine better but it still acts up here and there. Gen 3 has the tick but ford has said it’s normal. Only time will tell how they hold up long time
On street the performance is pretty negligible. Of course in track ps4s is better. So I picked the all season so I don’t have to have 2 sets of tires since summer tires like ps4s isn’t recommended to run below 40 degrees
My uncles selling a 2019 auto 60k miles lots of aftermarket mods very clean and a clean title and hes selling it for 23k at his dealership idk if i should buy it bc im in highschool
I'm having same issues with my trans. When in sport 5-6 rpms while shifting from 4th to 5th gear it does a jerk and I am worried about it, but is not under warranty so looks like I have to pay $500 xD
I have a 2018 GT also. It’s manual and no issues at all with the tranny. Have only done oil changes so far. Great car.
Yeah that’s great to hear mt82 is holding up great! You’ve got years more out of that car to enjoy
another solid video Red5oh! very informative and confidence building for used car buyers.
Yes! It’s been a great ownership experience. Especially with rising s650 prices it makes sense to get used s550
Let’s gooo keep goin your content is bad ass
@@alexvaldez7317 thanks bro I appreciate you watching! Got some drag strip runs to come as well
Just hit 40k on my 17 gt 6r80 today. maintenance has been pretty much the same as yours, besides the transmission issues.
Yup 6r80 has definitely been better in terms of no quirkiness. 10 speed is an ongoing fix for ford
Good video, I still have my 2014 Mustang GT that I have had since 2016. Only car I would be interested in upgrading to would be a GT350.
Yeah that would be a great upgrade! You have had yours for almost 10 years it probably got easily 5 more years if taken care of. Love the 13-14 shape

Dope video!!!!
Thank you!
Why didn’t you go with the Michelin pilot sport 4s ?? Why did you go with the All Season? Just Curious??

Is there anyway to do transmission software updates at home or do you have to go to the dealer?
Nope you have to take it to the dealer as far as I know
Im 72 years old and I drive like an old man my original 4 tires went bald at 22,000 miles
Yeah I was surprised mine were 33k miles. 22k seems a bit low especially if driving conservative
@@Red5oh they were Perile P zeros on my 2019 GT premium
@@mikelugo848 yeah same as mine. Can’t believe had to replace in 22k miles
I replaced mine at 21000 but they were aftermarket continentals.
Nice car. Any oil consumption?
So far none! Hopefully stays that way
Talk to me about long term, lol.
I've had my '98 4 Runner Limited since new. Although I do have 3 other rides.
lol that’s crazy more than 25 hours of ownership. Those suvs also last forever!

If you can afford it to be it’s a great deal as long as mods are done properly and the car isn’t abused

What year is your car? Transmission is covered for 5 years and 60k miles so unless 2018 or too many you should be covered
If you have a friend with an Nguage or an SCT X4 you can do a KAM reset and it should fix it. It’s a learned habit that needs to be reset.
It's B.S if the dealer charges you $ for a Software update under warranty or not.
I agree they shouldn’t but unfortunately that’s the world we live in
